Chapter 455: Eerie Cries

Li An gently patted Guo Yao's hand and comforted her, "Don't be afraid, I'm here. And Hagrid will protect us too." As he spoke, he looked up at Hagrid, who nodded vigorously.

When they stepped out of the castle and headed toward the Forbidden Forest, a sinister chill rushed at them. At the edge of the Forbidden Forest, enormous trees stood like silent sentinels, their branches and leaves intertwining to block out nearly all sunlight, leaving the forest interior dim. Occasionally, a few unidentifiable birds flew overhead, letting out eerie cries.

"Stay close, don't get separated," Hagrid said in a low voice, his usual ease gone from his face, replaced by a hint of wariness.

Li An took a deep breath, his nerves taut, his eyes constantly scanning the surroundings, not missing any corner that might hide danger. Guo Yao followed closely behind him, her eyes wide with fear.

As they ventured deeper into the Forbidden Forest, the surroundings grew even more sinister and terrifying. The thick layer of fallen leaves on the ground made "creak, creak" sounds, as if whispering the forest's secrets. Suddenly, a massive spider dropped down from a tree, blocking their path. The spider was taller than a person, its eight eyes gleaming with an eerie red light.

"It's an Acromantula!" Hagrid shouted. "Everyone, be careful!"

Li An quickly stepped in front of Guo Yao, gathering energy in both hands. He knew that in this magical world, his own abilities were somewhat limited, but he would never back down.

"You all fall back, I'll handle it!" Li An shouted.

Just then, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Draco Ma Erfu also arrived. It turned out they had heard Li An was entering the Forbidden Forest and secretly followed along.

"We'll help too!" Harry shouted, his wand gripped tightly in his hand.

Hermione quickly drew her wand as well, muttering an incantation. Though Draco looked thoroughly reluctant, he unwillingly drew his wand too, not wanting to be outdone.

The Acromantula seemed enraged by the group's actions, waving its massive claws and lunging at Li An. Li An's figure flashed, deftly dodging the attack. Using the Golden Finger system, he rapidly analyzed the Acromantula's weakness and discovered that its abdomen was relatively fragile.

"Everyone, attack its abdomen!" Li An shouted loudly.

Harry and Hermione immediately understood, sending streams of spells toward the Acromantula. Draco hesitated for a moment, then fired off a spell as well. After being attacked, the Acromantula grew even more frenzied, its assault increasingly ferocious.

Suddenly, several more Acromantulae swarmed in from all directions, surrounding the group completely. The situation grew even more critical.

"This is trouble now…" Hagrid said, frowning.

A flash of resolve crossed Li An's eyes: "It's fine, we can definitely drive them back!" As he spoke, he kept shifting his attack patterns, using his agile movements and the system's analysis to dodge the Acromantula's attacks again and again while delivering powerful counterstrikes.

Guo Yao hid behind Li An, watching the battle before her in tense silence. Though she knew no magic, her heart was always with Li An. She prayed silently in her heart, hoping everyone would come through safely.

The battle entered the white-hot stage, and everyone was already somewhat exhausted. The Acromantula's coordinated attacks left them struggling to keep up. Just then, an Acromantula took advantage of Li An's lapse in attention and slashed his arm with its claw, leaving five wounds.
