Chapter 532: Your Trial

However, the demon was not destroyed. After a brief moment of agony, it lunged at Li An once more. Li An's brows knit tightly—he knew this demon had been specially empowered by Tikimik, and ordinary attacks would have no effect on it whatsoever.

Just then, Li An noticed a crack in the ground, and an idea suddenly struck him. He deliberately ran toward the crack; the demon, thinking he was fleeing, pursued him hotly.

When Li An reached the edge of the crack, he suddenly stopped, then whirled around sharply. The demon, moving too fast to brake, plunged headlong toward the crack. The instant it was about to fall in, Li An swung his weapon, and a powerful surge of holy force shoved the demon deep into the fissure.

"No!" Watching the demon he had so carefully empowered be dealt with by Li An just like that, Tikimik's heart flooded with rage. He glared viciously at Li An, then turned and vanished into the darkness.
