Chapter 613: Strong Gusts

The guardian beast seemed enraged by the group's intrusion; it opened its blood-filled maw, let out a roar, and then charged toward them. Its speed was extremely fast, kicking up a gust of strong wind that blew the surrounding trees askew.

"Quick, dodge!" Li An shouted, and the group scattered rapidly in all directions. The guardian beast's attack landed on empty ground but smashed a huge deep pit into the earth.

"This guardian beast is incredibly strong!" Makise Kurisumi's face turned pale, and a tremor crept into her voice. "We are no match for it!" Despair shone in her eyes, and her body trembled slightly, clearly shaken by the guardian beast's immense power.

The guardian beast attacked again, swinging its massive claws in a horizontal sweep toward the group. Li An and the others hurriedly dodged, but several were still struck by the aftereffects of the claws and fell to the ground.

"Damn it!" Li An gritted his teeth, his heart filled with unwillingness. "Are we really going to be defeated like this?" He quickly activated his golden finger, trying to analyze the guardian beast's weaknesses.

Just as the group fell into despair, Li An's eyes suddenly lit up: "I found its weakness! There is a gap between the scales on its abdomen; that is its weak point!" His voice was filled with excitement and joy, as if he had found a sliver of dawn in the darkness.

"Everyone listen, we focus our attacks on its abdominal weak point!" Li An shouted loudly. "Amaon Suzuha, you distract it from the left; Okabe, use your weapon to disrupt its movements; Makise, you find the moment to attack its eyes and distract it; Hatate, use your skills to create some interference devices; and I, Guo Yao, and Mayuri will attack its abdominal weak point from the right!" He made the battle deployment swiftly and decisively, confidence and determination shining in his eyes.

Everyone nodded and acted according to Li An's command. Amaon Suzuha held her weapon and charged toward the guardian beast's left side; although her attacks could not inflict substantial damage on the guardian beast, she successfully drew its attention.

Okabe Rintaro was not to be outdone; he raised his homemade weapon and fired waves of energy at the guardian beast, disrupting its movements. Makise Kurisumi stood aside looking for an opportunity, her gaze focused and calm as she waited for the best moment to attack.

Hatate quickly took out his tools and began making interference devices. His fingers flew over the tools, sweat beads covered his forehead, and he silently prayed in his heart that his devices would work.

Li An, Guo Yao, and Mayuri cautiously approached the guardian beast's right side. Their steps were light and cautious, making every effort to avoid making any sound so as not to attract the guardian beast's attention.

"Now!" Li An shouted, launching his attack first; he condensed a powerful surge of spiritual energy in his hand and shot it at the guardian beast's abdominal weak point. Guo Yao and Mayuri also launched their attacks; although their strikes were not as powerful as Li An's, they still inflicted some damage on the guardian beast.

The guardian beast seemed to sense the danger; it roared angrily, trying to turn and attack Li An and the others. But the attacks from Amaon Suzuha and Okabe Rintaro prevented it from breaking free, and Makise Kurisumi seized the opportunity to attack; a beam of light shot toward the guardian beast's eyes, temporarily blinding it.
