Chapter 273
Outside the park, Jodie arrived at the scene with her subordinates.
Because time was tight, not many FBI agents had arrived in time.
Looking at the dense buildings surrounding the park, she couldn't help but frown.
"Damn, there are too many sniper locations, I'm afraid there's no time to find the snipers."
"Find Yasuteru Domon's location immediately; we must stop this assassination."
On the other side, the parking lot near the park.
Gin sat in the car and asked coldly: "Where is Kir now?"
Vodka looked at the monitor.
"Not far from the sniper location, she should be there in about five minutes."
"Mm." Gin nodded slightly.
"Chianti, Korn, nothing unusual on your end?"
"Everything is normal."
"It seems things are progressing quite smoothly!" Vermouth laughed.
"Isn't that great?" Vodka laughed.
"Yeah, that way I won't have to make an appearance; I don't want to clean up your mess." Vermouth laughed.
Gin snorted coldly.
"Hey! Vermouth, is it really okay for you to say things like that during an operation?" Vodka said with some dissatisfaction.
"What's wrong with it? Do you still believe in that sort of thing? Besides, I was just kindly reminding Gin to be careful." Vermouth laughed.
"I don't need you to point fingers." Gin finally couldn't help but speak up.
"Fine."
Vermouth shrugged and didn't say anything more, though a hint of a smile hung on her lips.
Checking her watch, it was almost the scheduled time of 1: 0 PM, and Jodie was getting anxious.
"There's no time left, where exactly is Yasuteru Domon?"
Haido Park was too big, there were many visitors, and she didn't have enough FBI agents with her.
In such a short time, it was too difficult to find a few people.
The weather had cleared up, and because it had just rained, the plants in the park were covered in raindrops, and there were quite a few passersby.
Rena Mizunashi was interviewing Yasuteru Domon as she walked, while Yasuteru Domon was followed by two bodyguards wearing sunglasses, and several staff members nearby were filming with cameras.
"Mr. Domon, thank you very much for accepting our exclusive interview."
Rena Mizunashi said to Yasuteru Domon with a smile.
"It's my pleasure, Ms. Mizunashi. The park you chose is excellent. Actually, this is where I usually jog; even these two bodyguards often run with me."
Yasuteru Domon smiled and looked at the two bodyguards beside him.
The familiar environment made him lower his guard somewhat.
In the distance, Chianti, lying on the rooftop, grumbled with dissatisfaction: "What are you dragging your feet for, Kir."
The reason she hadn't fired yet was because Kir hadn't brought the target to a suitable position for shooting.
Korn was the same.
"By the way, Ms. Mizunashi, about that matter regarding my father, I hope we can talk about it in detail after this interview." Yasuteru Domon said quietly to Rena Mizunashi.
This was also the main reason he agreed to the interview.
"Of course, no problem." Rena Mizunashi nodded.
She had a flower-shaped brooch pinned to her chest, which concealed a micro-camera, transmitting Yasuteru Domon's image to Gin's side.
Rena Mizunashi conducted the interview while leading Yasuteru Domon toward the scheduled location.
"Yes, Kir, just like that, bring the DJ to the position."
Gin watched Yasuteru Domon from the computer, a cold smile appearing on his lips.
He was directing Rena Mizunashi via headset.
Vodka looked at the screen and also revealed a cold smile.
"Looks like I'll be able to capture some truly shocking footage."
He smacked his lips and said: "It's a real shame I'm not at the live scene."
Rena Mizunashi smiled at Yasuteru Domon: "I'm a little tired from walking, shall we find a place to sit down?"
"Of course."
Yasuteru Domon said with a smile.
"Then, let's choose that bench."
Rena Mizunashi pretended to look around and then pointed to a bench nearby.
"A bench? Hahaha, not bad."
Yasuteru Domon didn't notice that the Grim Reaper's scythe was about to descend upon his head; instead, he laughed loudly and walked toward the bench.
"Yes, that's it, let's get this over with quickly, Mr. Domon."
A curve appeared on the corner of Gin's mouth.
Chianti's eyes lit up, and the butterfly tattoo at the corner of her eye seemed as if it were about to fly away.
Both she and Korn had their guns aimed at Yasuteru Domon, just waiting for him to sit down to end his life.
Far away, Jodie finally spotted Yasuteru Domon.
"Damn, it's going to be too late!"
She ran anxiously.
"Little silly girl, Yasuteru Domon is from the Self-Defense Force and has bodyguards with him; wouldn't it be enough to just startle him?"
A familiar voice suddenly came to her ear.
Akaso Kaze, who was observing the situation at the scene, couldn't help but speak up.
The adaptability of these FBI agents is really poor.
If they delay any longer, Gin and the others will succeed.
Jodie's eyes lit up; she pulled out her gun and fired two shots into the ground.
The noise of the entire park went quiet instantly.
Then, a burst of exclamations erupted.
"It's gunfire, run!"
"Ah, run!"
There were panicked crowds everywhere.
Yasuteru Domon stopped in his tracks immediately, and the two bodyguards rushed up to protect him, quickly leaving the scene.
Rena Mizunashi, standing nearby, was completely dumbfounded.
Gin and Vodka, who were monitoring, and Chianti and Korn, who were aiming at the bench, were all stunned as well.
Gin reacted quickly, and he said angrily: "Who, who fired the shot?"
The gunshot was clearly from a pistol, and the person who fired it was in the park.
"It's Jodie from the FBI! How did they know our plan?"
Chianti's voice came through the earpiece.
She saw Jodie's figure through the scope.
"Oh no, she's rushing toward Kir with the FBI."
"Gin, what do we do now?"
Gin's face was gloomy, his gaze cold.
In such a chaotic situation, under the protection of the FBI and the bodyguards, it was almost impossible to kill Yasuteru Domon.
"Retreat for now. Kir, you've been exposed; find a way to escape on your own."
On the highway, Rena Mizunashi was speeding on a stolen motorcycle.
Not far behind her, several FBI cars were in hot pursuit.
Suddenly, a white sedan drove past her and blocked her path.
Rena Mizunashi accelerated sharply, and the motorcycle actually jumped, flying over the roof of the white sedan in front.
