Chapter 280

~6 min read 1,053 words

Akaso Kaze smiled slightly; more bombs had been sent?

It seems the Black Organization's Tokyo branch had received external support.

He cast his Hand of Intent and began picking up the bombs again.

One, two, three...

Dozens of bombs; another not-so-small harvest.

He looked at his soul space; oh my god, it was practically a small arsenal, with bombs piled up like a small mountain.

Seeing the bombs in front of her disappear into thin air, Jodie let out a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, there was a powerful Onmyoji here, otherwise the FBI would be in a complete mess right now.

An FBI agent was patrolling inside a ward.

On the television, an image with the ward as the background suddenly appeared, and in the center of the screen was a woman wearing a hospital gown.

He was very familiar with this woman; he had to check on her almost every day during this period.

It was Rena Mizunashi!

"Wh, what's going on? Isn't Rena Mizunashi still lying in the secret ward?" the FBI agent was shocked.

The Rena Mizunashi on the screen spoke.

"I am truly sorry for making everyone worry. My injuries have healed, and I will be able to return to work soon. I look forward to your continued support!"

Hearing her say this, the FBI agent could no longer remain calm; he immediately rushed out of the ward and ran toward Rena Mizunashi's room.

Along the way, he encountered more and more FBI colleagues.

Finally, a group of FBI agents gathered outside that ward.

The ward door opened, and several investigators walked out, looking at the crowd with some confusion: "What happened?"

The FBI agents leaned in to look inside.

Inside the ward, Rena Mizunashi was lying quietly on the hospital bed, her eyes closed, with nothing unusual.

The FBI agents who had rushed over were instantly stunned: "Why is she still in the room? What was that on TV?"

"That footage was fake," Jodie's calm voice came from behind.

"It seems we have to execute that plan after all."

In the building opposite, Gin aimed an infrared camera at the hospital room.

A large pile of red figures was concentrated at the door of a certain room.

Gin looked at the screen, a mocking smile hanging on the corner of his mouth: "Just like flies gathering around garbage!"

"And there are more and more of them!" Vodka chimed in.

"Building 4, Ward 305, is this Kir's room?"

"Hmph! Since we already know where Kir is being held, the rest is up to us, Brother!" Vodka said, full of confidence.

Gin sneered and shook his head: "I never cared about the room where Kir is being held from the very beginning."

"Eh?" Vodka was a bit confused.

Gin said calmly: "The point is to make them realize that we already know Kir's location; it's like driving a terrifying nail into their brains."

"Now, let's see how those panicked flies fly."

He looked ahead with deep eyes, as if he could see the FBI agents who were already at their wits' end.

"Damn it! So everything they did before was to determine the location of the ward!" Camel's face was full of anger and annoyance.

Jodie's expression was also grave: "Now we can only execute the final plan decided this morning."

"According to the morning arrangement, three vehicles will leave the hospital at the same time, heading in different directions; the decoy vehicles should try to lead their people as far away as possible."

"Leave the transport of Rena Mizunashi to me!" Camel showed a confident smile.

Jodie looked at Camel with a calm gaze: "The fear of death is often more terrifying than death itself. Camel, you are not the right candidate!"

Camel widened his eyes and said angrily:

"When I became an FBI agent, I had already put life and death aside. Anyway, if I die, there won't be any family members to grieve for me; who else is more suitable than me?"

Jodie's mouth curled up, revealing a strange smile.

"Of course there is; the one who fears death the least is, of course, someone who is already dead..."

Ten minutes later, three vans in the hospital parking lot started at the same time and drove toward the exit.

A moment later, they drove out of the parking lot gate.

And in the building opposite the gate, a sniper rifle had long been aimed at this side.

"Gin, there are three vehicles in total; our target should be among them, right?" Chianti's report came to Gin's ear.

"Hmm," Gin replied calmly, then said: "Then, Korn, you go chase the first car."

"Irish, you go watch the second car."

"Vodka, you go follow the third car. Vermouth and I will stay here to monitor the situation at the hospital, in case all three vehicles are decoys."

Gin looked at Vodka, who had been waiting for a long time.

"Yes, Brother!"

Vodka made an 'OK' gesture, then twisted the throttle; the motorcycle accelerated instantly and sped away!

Soon, Jodie's car also drove out of the parking lot.

She was driving a small car with only herself inside, but Gin still didn't let her go.

"Vermouth, I'll leave Jodie to you."

On the last motorcycle, Vermouth tossed her blonde hair, put on her helmet, and roared away.

A dozen minutes later, looking at the three infrared images of the vans sent back, Gin sneered.

"Cunning FBI, you are trying to cover up by being too obvious."

"The first and second vans both have seven or eight people inside, and Jodie is following far behind the second van, while only two people are sitting in the third van that Vodka is following."

"Are you trying to make me mistakenly believe that Kir is in the second van?"

"Because Kir lost consciousness, she needs to lie on a stretcher; the FBI must think I would deduce this, so they set up a decoy, letting Kir sit in the passenger seat of the third van, disguised as an FBI agent."

"Unfortunately, you can't fool me at all!"

Gin said, starting his car: "Everyone, gather at Vodka's location! Kir is in that car."

"Understood!" everyone responded one after another.
