Chapter 29: Annoying, don't do that
Conan looks at Akaso Kaze unhappily and greets him reluctantly: "Akaso-brother, hello."
This guy is too damn annoying!
Every time I see this handsome face, I'm jealous to death!
Akaso Kaze nods: "Mr. Maru received a treasure, I'm here to take a look."
Akaso Kaze says while looking at Conan.
The scene in front of him looks familiar.
Could it be that I can collect another soul today?
That would be great.
"Where is Mr. Maru? Is he meeting with Mr. Mouri?"
Ran shakes her head, "Just now Mr. Maru came out to greet guests and went to another room..."
Before she finishes speaking, the phone rings.
"So noisy, what the hell is that guy doing?"
Kogoro Mouri walks out of the room next door angrily.
"Huh, Akaso-san, you're here too."
"Mr. Mouri, hello."
Akaso Kaze frowns and greets him casually.
In this situation, I'm afraid Maru-denjiro is already dead.
Use Eye of Space.
Sure enough, in the reception room, Maru-denjiro is pierced through the chest by a sword and pinned to the wall.
The soul, of course, is clinging to the blade of the samurai sword.
Hand of Intent.
Taking advantage of no one in the room, Akaso Kaze begins to cast magic.
The samurai sword is slowly pulled out of Maru-denjiro's body.
If Conan were here, his eyes would definitely fall out in shock.
After a while, the samurai sword disappears and appears in Akaso Kaze's soul space.
Yo, it's actually a material for a magic tool; this wave is a big profit again.
Maru-denjiro's soul looks around blankly.
Eight strange little people gather around, all with expressions of watching the fun.
There are charred ones, ones kicking heads like balls, ones with swords in their backs, ones holding small whips, a group of one old and two young with their arms around each other, and even a wooden man with a head turning back and forth.
What the hell is this place?
A huge human face suddenly appears in the air.
The little people around immediately shine with excitement.
The good show is about to begin.
Swish.
Rails appear out of thin air, surrounding Maru-denjiro's soul.
Soul Cage.
Then two palms appear in the cage.
Slap, slap, slap, slap.
Maru-denjiro is immediately swollen from the slaps.
The souls around are all excitedly opening and closing their mouths.
Although they can't make a sound, you can tell from their lip movements that they are shouting:
"Big, big, big, big, big, small..."
Zzz.
Maru-denjiro's soul twitches as expected.
"Akaso-brother, what are you looking at?"
Conan follows Akaso Kaze's gaze, which seems to be the room where Maru-denjiro is meeting guests.
"Don't you feel it?"
Akaso Kaze's consciousness withdraws from the soul space.
"Feel what?"
Conan is confused.
"A case has occurred, right there, where Maru-denjiro is meeting guests. And someone should be dead."
"What?"
Conan is dumbfounded.
You just arrived and said a case happened; do you think you are the Grim Reaper?
However, looking at the room Akaso Kaze mentioned, Conan has a thought.
Mr. Maru hasn't come back for a long time; could it be...
Was he really right?
Conan suddenly gets up and runs towards the reception room.
"Conan, you kid, what are you doing again? Don't disturb Mr. Maru."
Kogoro Mouri chases after him in a panic.
Conan runs wildly, rolling his eyes at the same time.
"Conan!"
Ran also calls out helplessly, and then turns to complain coquettishly, "Akaso-san, don't deliberately lure Conan like that! You know, Conan is most interested in cases and such."
Akaso Kaze smiled and came to Ran's side: "I did it on purpose. Only by tricking him away can I spend time alone with you."
Looking at the handsome face before her, Ran couldn't help but feel a moment of trance.
Flustered and blushing, she said, "H-hate you, don't be like that."
The two were playing with goldfish by the pond when Mori Kogoro's voice suddenly came from afar.
"Ran, hurry and call the police, something's happened!"
"Huh?"
Ran jumped out of Akaso Kaze's arms in a panic.
Half an hour later, several police cars were parked outside Maru Denjiro's house.
Inside the reception room, Inspector Megure and his team were wearing white gloves, surveying the scene.
"The deceased is Maru Denjiro. The cause of death was a single strike from a weapon piercing through the chest, killing him instantly."
"The room is in complete disarray with numerous sword marks. Judging by this, the deceased must have been killed after a fierce battle with the murderer."
"However, the murder weapon is not at the scene; it must have been taken by the murderer."
Inspector Megure frowned as he described the scene.
Nearby, the police were busy taking photos and collecting samples.
Mori Kogoro was pinching his chin, analyzing the case.
"In that case, the murderer must be a master of kendo."
"Mr. Maru was talking to me when someone came to visit, so he went to greet the guest."
"The perpetrator must be the visitor, and one skilled in kendo. It should be clear once we check who the deceased had an appointment with today."
The suspects were soon all called over.
Conan ran over to observe them carefully, then walked to Akaso Kaze's side and whispered to himself: "I already know who the kendo master is."
Hmm?
Akaso Kaze glanced at Conan's smug expression, his lips curling up slightly.
"Isn't it just Suwa Suwa Yuji?" he said casually.
"Eh? How did you know?"
Conan's eyes widened.
I had to look at everyone's hands before I figured it out.
This Akaso Kaze just stood there and knew without even looking?
"Heh." Akaso Kaze's lips curled, but he didn't answer: "Do you think he is the murderer?"
"Could it be... that he isn't?"
Conan had just heard everyone explain their reasons for meeting Maru Denjiro, so naturally, he felt Suwa Suwa Yuji was the most suspicious.
He had the motive, the ability, and it was exactly at this time—if not him, then who?
Akaso Kaze pointed at the deceased in the room.
"Look at the way the deceased is holding the sword, then look at the photo on the wall."
Conan slipped into the room, completely bewildered.
"Damn brat, don't mess around."
Mori Kogoro's angry roar came from inside.
A moment later, Conan walked out with a large bump on his head, looking shocked.
He stared at Akaso Kaze as if he had seen a ghost.
This guy actually saw the flaw at a single glance!
His Onmyoji act must be a disguise; he's definitely a detective.
"The deceased's sword-holding posture is wrong; the murderer must have staged the scene to frame the kendo master, Suwa Suwa Yuji."
"If it's not Suwa Suwa Yuji, then who could it be?"
Conan held his chin with his fingers in an 'eight' shape, frowning as he analyzed the case.
Watching Mori Kogoro's messy analysis inside the room, Akaso Kaze felt bored and couldn't help but yawn.
"This Uncle Mori doesn't even know to check the cabinet."
Hearing Akaso Kaze mutter that, Conan's eyes lit up instantly.
He ran back into the room again.
"Why are you back in here?"
Thud.
A muffled sound.
Conan ran out wiping his tears, the bump on his head now doubled.
"The whole room is covered in sword marks, only the work of the master sculptor Akutsu isn't scratched. Could it be the murderer?"
Hearing the little guy still muttering, Akaso Kaze couldn't help but curl his lip.
This kid is analyzing the case while wiping his tears—who knows if he's faking it.
Suddenly noticing Akaso Kaze watching him, Conan quickly put his hands down and put on an innocent expression.
"Brother Akaso, this is the case analysis I just heard Uncle Mori make inside. Is he right?"
"Right? As if. When has his analysis ever been right? He's practically a textbook example of what not to do."
Conan nodded in strong agreement.
"Then, Brother Akaso, who do you think is the murderer?"
Conan asked, blinking his large eyes.
"It's Suwa Suwa Yuji, of course."
"Eh?" Conan was stunned.
Didn't you just clear him of suspicion?
How is it him again?
Akaso Kaze gave a faint smile and rubbed the two large bumps on Conan's head.
They were soft and actually quite nice to touch.
"I'm afraid none of you noticed the scratches on the cabinet. That is the most valuable evidence the deceased left behind with his dying breath."
Conan was stunned.
He turned and rushed back inside.
"You little brat..."
The room suddenly went quiet.
Akaso Kaze walked to the door to look.
Mori Kogoro was sitting on the floor with his head down, analyzing the case.
I must say, this posture is very strange!
Also, the tone of voice doesn't sound like him at all; it sounds like...
Akaso Kaze looked at his neck.
Oh, sure enough, Mori Kogoro had been pricked by a needle.
Conan's coat tail could still be seen behind him.
Alright, Sleeping Kogoro has arrived!
At this moment, Conan was hiding behind Mori Kogoro.
A very satisfied, very smug smile appeared on his face.
You hit my head, so I'll prick you.
Watching the soul rising from the top of Mori Kogoro's head, Akaso Kaze's lips curled, and he extended his evil hand of intent.
Magic Drain.
Zzz.
Mori Kogoro's body instantly went limp.
How truly pathetic.
Akaso Kaze silently pitied him for a second.
