Chapter 535: Conan is stunned

"Is that Akaso-niichan's lab?"

Mitsuhiko and Genta both had bright eyes, looking very expectant.

"Come to think of it, we haven't been to Akaso-niichan's lab yet! Why don't we go check it out together after school today!"

"Yeah! Yeah!" Little Ayumi nodded along, "Akaso-niichan always says Haibara-neechan is a genius girl, I really want to see you doing experiments!"

"By the way, Haibara-neechan, what kind of experiments does Akaso-niichan do in the lab?"

"No special experiments, just a poison called APTX-4869; we are trying to research its antidote."

"What? APTX-4869?"

Conan jumped up, "Akaso-niichan is researching its antidote?"

"That's right." Haibara Ai pretended not to know and smiled, saying something that shocked Conan: "And he just successfully researched the antidote yesterday. Today, he's having me help him run a few more sets of experiments to confirm it."

Conan stood there with his mouth open for a long time, then said urgently, "Haibara-san, can we go see your experiment?"

The little girl smiled slightly, "Since everyone is so interested, let's go to my lab to see it after school."

That evening, in the reception room of Haibara Ai's research lab, Conan, Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta sat on the sofa, curiously looking around.

Although this was just the lab's reception room, the decor was quite nice, and the daily furniture and supplies were all complete, making it look just like someone's living room.

Little Ayumi looked around with her large eyes, surprised, "Haibara-neechan's lab is really big, even bigger than my house."

"Yeah! Yeah!" Genta nodded repeatedly, "There's a TV here too, we can use this as our hangout base and come here to play games every day."

"No." Haibara Ai changed into a well-fitting lab coat and walked out of the changing room, "This is a lab, not a place for playing games."
