Chapter 132: Volume End Summary
Volume End Summary
Volume End Summary
I've finally stumbled through to the end of Yan Han.
How to put it? It was just really hard to write.
Although I'd already outlined the plot from the start, the actual writing was no less difficult, since it meant breaking away from original history while still being bound by its framework.
Overall, it was a major challenge for me.
Both my mindset and the overall structure were tested.
As for mindset, I won't dwell on it—I've always been the type to easily sink into self-contradiction; more words won't help.
Let me mainly talk about the overall structure.
If you're a full-subscriber, you probably noticed I designed the plot from the very beginning.
The Three Revivals of Han, replacing the Jin Dynasty.
The Gu family reached its peak in this era, and Gu Chen's status rivaled that of the emperor.
Later, it involved the Gu family's transformation.
Breaking away from a single dynasty, expanding to the entire Nine Provinces.
Including the suppression faced by family members' talents and the impact of the Golden Knife Prophecy.
All of this was planned in detail from the book's opening.
Everything stayed within the original outline—I did put in real effort.
As for how well it was written? Well, there's still room for improvement.
I really am improving.
A few days ago, I looked back at earlier plotlines and realized I could handle them better if I rewrote them now.
Isn't that itself a form of progress?
Overall, at least in my own eyes, this volume is passable.
Though my updates were sluggish, they were consistent—I posted daily for over thirty days.
As for updates—
Emmm, next month I'm going all out!!!
Now, as usual, let me mention the next volume's title.
I'm thinking: "Nine Palaces Rekindled · Ten Thousand Nations in Robes."
"Nine Palaces Rekindled" echoes the previous volume.
"Ten Thousand Nations in Robes" draws from Wang Wei's line: "Ten thousand nations pay homage to the imperial crown."
No hidden meaning!
Absolutely no hidden meaning!
Of course, if brothers have other ideas, feel free to comment—I'll consider using them! (dog head emoji.)
And as always, the spin-offs you wanted are already written.
You can unlock them with just one monthly ticket.
As for updates, next month I'll raise my output to eight to ten thousand characters daily.
I'm going all in.
I'm aiming for the rankings.
As for the overall ranking—the Forbidden Zone—I have self-awareness; I don't expect much. My focus is on the History category, trying to boost the book's visibility as much as possible.
I hope brothers will support me then.
Finally!
Thank you to all the brothers who've supported me—subscriptions, tips, votes, comments—I'm truly grateful.
I won't copy and paste names one by one.
I sincerely wish you all good health and great fortune!
