Volume Summary

Whew~~

Taking a deep breath and lighting a cigarette, I’ll have a little chat with you brothers.

I’ve been holding this in for quite a while.

I’ve always wanted to find an opportunity to talk about the plot with you brothers, and it’s finally here.

How should I put it?

Compared to the Eastern Han volume, the Chaotic Times volume was indeed much harder to write.

It’s not just because this period of history is already deeply ingrained in people’s hearts, but also because of various other reasons.

No matter how it’s written, it’s impossible to satisfy everyone.

And the author happens to be someone easily influenced; how should I say it, the pressure of writing this volume really stifled the author.

In my initial conception.

I actually didn’t think that much; my initial idea for this volume was a large ensemble cast to build up a core expectation.

But how should I put it, I can only say I overestimated my own level.

The difficulty of a large ensemble cast is not something I can handle.

This also led many people to blast me for padding at the beginning, so I had to adjust and return to my previous concise writing style, modifying the specific plot to refocus on the Gu family.

Regardless of how well it was written, I can at least say it was sincere.

I don’t know if you brothers noticed, but the entire later years of Gu Xi and this plot of chaotic times are actually a single whole.

In the original conception.

The reform philosophy proposed by Gu Xi—was to be completed by Gu Chen.

This section was meant to emphasize the inheritance of the family.

Not just in terms of superficial assets, reputation, and status, but also including the inheritance of certain philosophies and spirits, making the entire family more flesh and blood.

Regarding this part of the plot.

When I was conceiving it before starting the book, I had actually already set the specific outline.

The Three Revivals of the Han is the main theme.

It’s just that there were originally two plot directions for the decline of the Eastern Han and the end of the chaotic times.

The first plot direction was—Gu Xi establishes Liu Bei during the Yellow Turbans and changes the national policy, but unfortunately dies of old age; after his death, the world falls into chaos, and Gu Chen sweeps across the world.

The second is the current way, which emphasizes Gu Xi’s philosophical inheritance more, to be completed by Gu Chen.

This is also the two plot directions I mentioned to you brothers before.

From the very beginning of the setting.

Gu Chen was a character who would "slaughter until no one in the world dares to claim supremacy."

I had many hints before, including what I said in the volume-end remarks of the previous volume: [Rising in ruin, reviving in extinction], and indicating that I am a fan of Dong Ge.

This was to hint at the [Three Revivals of the Han] and Gu Chen’s identity positioning of slaughtering until no one in the world dares to claim supremacy.

This part of the plot might be destined to cause resentment among readers who don’t like Shu Han.

But how should I put it?

Creating history still requires a bit of persistence.

I will still listen to you brothers’ suggestions on many minor aspects to modify the outline and plot.

But for the major aspects, only by persisting to the end can it be considered a complete beginning and end.

Still the same words.

No matter what, I will try my best to write this book well and leave a perfect ending.

Yeah. No hints this time.

Actually, what needed to be said has already been said to you brothers in the author’s notes.

I definitely won’t choose to keep it purely fictional forever.

The plot of the Flaming Han won’t be too long; besides foreign affairs, there will also be some plotlines about modern changes, and they will be significant changes.

Everything you are looking forward to is in the plot of the next volume.

The volume title is "The Splendor of the Flaming Han, Eternal Glory."

Yeah. That’s about it.

And then, the daily request for monthly tickets.

Thank you brothers for your support, Yu is infinitely grateful.
