Chapter 81 - 081 | Dungeon Cricket

Reyansh stepped deeper into the cave amidst another tremor, he noticed the time interval between previous tremor, pressing forward as the tremor passed.

’20 minutes, let’s see when does next one strike.’

He also noticed that the number of rocks and crystals on the walls had increased, especially the rocks embedded overhead were large in size.

Keeping the rocks above, he rushed forward when he suddenly sensed a big rock falling down. He used his True Flame enhanced Katana to slash the rock in two parts.

However, suddenly, he sensed many slight vibrations in the walls.

"Well, looks like it’s gonna rain rocks today." He stated as he lightened his grip on the katana, ready to be more flexible.

He used his mental energy and perception to check the length of the tunnel before any big openings.

’Would you be okay, Lyri?’ he asked before rushing through the tunnel.

’Don’t worry about me boss, these puny rocks couldn’t scratch me even if they tried, I will be right behind you,’ she reassured, flying beside the Hunter’s Orb (camera).

’Good to know.’

Reyansh pushed his legs and rushed deeper into the tunnel, at that moment, the rocks started falling. Some bigger than 10 footballs combined, some smaller but deadly enough.

He slashed and cut through rocks that were too big and dodged the small ones. The tunnel glowed with flicker of orange and white hue as he passed the tunnel.

[Ellise: This dungeon is definitely Grade II.]

[Fiery_Redina: Yeah, looks like it.]

After rushing and cleaving rocks for a minute straight, he finally arrived at the open end of tunnel as it suddenly become wider.

He had just stopped when a tremor occurred again, Reyansh kept his feet glued as shaking occurred.

’So, the tremors are irregular, good to know, it may be a problem or come in handy.’

After tremor, he spread his senses again before moving forward. Suddenly, he sensed three monsters coming towards him at great speed.

He looked at the surrounding with smaller tunnels, shiny crystals and rocks around.

’This place is better for a 3 on 1 fight.’

Just then, from ground a gigantic monster emerged with a shiny black scales and violet cracks on it. Its size was even bigger than the Ironfang.

’Guess, I did right thing by staying here.’

[Ent_Lord_345: Is that boss monster?]

[Ramon_Night: No its still to early for boss monster.]

The monster screeched loudly as dust and small rocks flew opposite of monster, just from the pressure of the sound.

’Damn! All these monster have annoying voices,’ Reyansh gritted his teeth as he skidded backwards slightly.

[Daoist_kun: Why isn’t he charging forward?]

[Ellise: Maybe the monster is not alone.]

’He didn’t have to answer some questions, his chat is self-sufficient, most of the time,’ Lyrielle noticed.

Reyansh created a small fireball and condensed in his palm and threw it towards the monster.

The condensed fireball struck the black scales and exploded on impact.

BOOOMM!

A huge explosion occurred as the monster was pushed back from the pressure.

At the same moment, two more monsters burst out from the ground, appearing on either side of first monster.

The next moment, all three monsters opened their mouth. But it wasn’t simple, their mouth opened in four section outwards, like petals of an ugly flower.

Reyansh stood in front of them as they screeched together, this time Reyansh created a V-shaped compact wall with its tip facing towards monster, saving himself from the shockwave.

"You know, you guys make goblins look handsome." Reyansh remarked.

[Cat_Empress: They certainly look like a creep.]

[Dread Fist: I have seen uglier but yeah these guys would certainly join the list.]

[Lyrielle:] Okay we have over thousand viewers with us, let’s do a pole.

Which monster are the ugliest?

[Goblins] [These Wyrms] [Both are equally ugly] [I have seen uglier ones]

The three monster finally stopped their scream, Reyansh dissolved the walls, three condensed fireballs flew above his hand and Katana gleamed in another.

"Let’s see if I can beat the ugliness out of you."

He threw three condensed fireball, one aimed at each.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Three consecutive blasts occurred, breaking a few of their scales and pushing the monsters back slightly.

Reyansh jumped towards them before the smoke and dust could clear. He landed on the first monster, just above its mouth.

[Ramon_Night: That fireball isn’t a skill right?]

[Red Falcon: No, it isn’t. The True Flame is most versatile flame ever, its good seeing him apply different tactics.]

These monsters had a crown scale as their weak point. Reyansh tried stabbing with his sword but only tip of the sword pierced the monster’s scale.

Sensing Reyansh on its body, the monster tried smashing its head to the wall. He retrieved his sword and ran towards its tail then jumped off midway.

Just as he jumped off the monster’s body, the other two monsters spat sharp and big rock spikes at him. He erected a compact fire wall on both sides as he landed on the ground.

’So, their scales are much durable against physical attack. Let’s try more flamey attack then,’ he decided.

He created a fire wall on his back as he ran to create some distance between himself and the monster.

’If I used three flame spears like before, my mana will be depleted to almost half and I still don’t know the extent of this dungeon.’

He threw condensed fireball at the monster on the left side of first monster as he turned sideways slightly. From the corner of his eyes, he noticed the broken scales of the first monster due to his fireballs.

Suddenly, an idea came to his mind. He looked around to find a high spot, he noticed one at some distance. Immediately, he rushed towards it.

The monsters stopped their rain of rock shards, turning towards the Reyansh.

"Let’s play cricket guys, the one to take most catches will be the winner." Reyansh stated as he used the sigil to manifest a metal bat in his right hand.

The bat was thin at the handle and the end with most thickness just below the middle point and slightly curved from inwards.

[Ellise: What kind of weapon is this?]

[Storm_Knight: Never seen this one, it looks like a flat mace but the handle is too short.]

[Black_Nails09: It’s a bat, used in a game called cricket here.]

Three fireballs manifested at his waist level, just ahead of him. He didn’t wait for the monsters to attack, as he pulled the bat back, swinging it with both hands at an arc with his full strength.

The first to get struck was the first monster followed by the monsters on both sides. But the shots didn’t stop at once, instead they sped up.

They tried to scream at him again but Reyansh’s speed to hit the condensed fireballs increased, with repeated use the explosive power of the ball increased.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

For a minute, only sound of the fireballs exploding filled the tunnels along with dust and smoke and broken scales.

When Reyansh finally stopped, all three monster’s body was full with holes, their scales broken and bloodied. The flaps of their mouth was broken and burned.

Their eyes were still locked in on Reyansh, trying to understand, just what happened?

"And that’s a century!" Reyansh spoke as he slammed the end of the bat on the ground.

[Black_Nails09: Way past century but I get your point. This was brilliant.]

[Fiery_Redina: I don’t what that was, but do it again.]
