"Sir," Major Jackson finally spoke, "The facts are before our eyes. Long Country truly possesses some kind of Anti-aircraft System that transcends our understanding. I suggest re-evaluating the entire combat plan, at least delaying the ground offensive until we have more intelligence."

Brigadier General Hansen's face turned livid, but he knew he could no longer ignore this obvious threat.

He took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down.

"Fine, we will change our strategy. Since air support is impossible, then we will use artillery fire to weaken them first." He turned to the Artillery Commander,

"Mobilize the M115 Heavy Howitzer and conduct saturation bombing on the Long Country positions. I want to see if their Anti-aircraft System can deal with our artillery shells, just as it dealt with our aircraft."

The Artillery Commander nodded: "Yes, sir. The 5th Artillery Battalion is already in position, 24 M115 Heavy Howitzers are ready, and we can open fire immediately."

"Very good," Brigadier General Hansen walked to the map, "Start the bombardment from these ridges and gradually push inward. Once the artillery fire weakens their defenses, the armored units will break through in one fell swoop."

"Are you sure this is a wise decision, sir?" Major Jackson expressed concern again, "If the people of Long Country truly have such advanced weapon systems, they likely have the means to deal with our artillery as well."

Brigadier General Hansen waved his hand impatiently: "What kind of countermeasures can a group of infantry have? Our M115 can strike precisely from 25 kilometers away; they can't even see our artillery positions!"

Following the order, the Di Guo artillery began to move.

Twenty-four massive M115 Heavy Howitzers were arranged in a neat array, their barrels slowly elevating, aiming at the distant mountains.

"Prepare to fire," the Artillery Commander ordered, "First round, coordinates AZ-457, ridge fortifications, fire!"

Following the order, the heavy howitzers roared in unison; twenty-four 203mm shells whistled into the sky, carving out a beautiful parabola as they smashed toward the Long Country positions.

On the other side of the valley, Li Yunlong was in the Radar room, closely monitoring the movements of Di Guo.

"Report, the large Di Guo artillery position has been activated, detected a large number of artillery launch signals!" the Radar Operator reported urgently.

Li Yunlong had been prepared: "Is the location confirmed?"

"Locked on, distance is about 23 kilometers, coordinates BX-289, it is an open area hidden in a valley."

Li Yunlong grinned: "Good, this is what I was waiting for. Pass on my order, the 107 Rocket Launcher Platform is to move out immediately and carry out a counterattack according to the predetermined plan!"

Following the order, a special unit moved quickly.

It was a team of modified Light Crawler Vehicles, each equipped with a Multi-tube Rocket Launcher.

This was another innovative design by Li Mingyuan, perfectly combining mobility with firepower.

These crawler vehicles climbed rapidly along the steep mountain roads, easily reaching high ground that ordinary vehicles could not reach.

Within ten minutes, they were dispersed across the ridges, looking down from a commanding height, aiming at the Di Guo artillery position.

"All rocket launchers in position," the Communication Soldier reported, "Requesting fire command."

Li Yunlong was just about to give the order when suddenly a violent explosion sound came.

The first round of Di Guo artillery fire landed on the ridge fortifications, kicking up a cloud of dust and rubble.

"Are there any casualties?" Li Yunlong asked immediately.

"No major casualties, sir," the Communication Soldier reported, "We have already transferred the personnel from the forward positions according to the contingency plan. But many of the fortifications were destroyed."

Li Yunlong nodded: "Very good, now it's our turn. All rocket launchers, fire simultaneously! Target, Di Guo artillery position!"

On the ridge, the 107mm Rocket Launchers on the dozen or so modified crawler vehicles started simultaneously.

Each vehicle was equipped with a 12-tube Rocket Launcher, capable of firing 12 Rocket Shells at once.

Following the launch command, nearly 200 Rocket Shells took to the sky in just a few seconds, dragging long tails of fire as they dove straight toward the Di Guo artillery position.

This method of attack was unprecedented; the Rocket Shells were not fired one by one, but formed a dense "wall of fire" that almost obscured half the sky.

At the Di Guo artillery position, the soldiers were preparing for the second volley when someone suddenly noticed something unusual.

"Look at the sky! What is that?" a gunner pointed at the sky in terror.

Everyone looked up, only to see countless bright spots appearing on the horizon, rapidly enlarging as they flew toward them.

"It's rocket shells!" the Artillery Commander exclaimed, "Everyone, take cover!"

But it was already too late.

200 Rocket Shells landed on the artillery position almost simultaneously, the explosions merging into one, forming a man-made thunderstorm.

After each Rocket Shell exploded, it produced thousands of high-speed flying fragments, covering a radius of tens of meters.

The entire artillery position instantly turned into a sea of fire.

The shockwaves of the explosions overturned the howitzers that hadn't had time to move, snapped the barrels, and the kicked-up dust and smoke blotted out the sky and sun.

"My God..." Major Jackson stood at an observation point in the distance, looking at the sea of fire, muttering to himself, "How did they do it?"

At the same time, another type of attack also began.

The Ultra-light Alloy Mortars hidden throughout the mountains began precise strikes.

This specially designed mortar was light in weight, but its range and accuracy were astonishing. It could be carried by a single soldier, yet it could fire specially made, highly powerful shells.

"Ultra-light Mortar team, lock onto the enemy's logistics area and command post, precise strike!" Li Yunlong issued a new order.

In the valley, dozens of Ultra-light Mortars fired almost simultaneously.

The shells whistled toward the enemy's logistics area and command facilities. These shells were not ordinary bombs, but specially designed Cloud Bombs.

When the shells landed, they did not explode immediately, but first released a cloud of fuel before detonating.

The high-temperature, high-pressure wave generated by this method of explosion could penetrate any bunker, with power far exceeding traditional bombs.

The Di Guo logistics area instantly turned into a purgatory.

Tents were blown away, vehicles were overturned, stored ammunition was detonated, and chain explosions occurred one after another.

Even more terrifying was that those soldiers attempting to flee discovered that even hiding in trenches could not avoid the lethality of the explosions.

The pressure wave generated by the Cloud Bombs could "flow" into any space, rendering traditional bunkers useless.

Inside the front-line command post, Brigadier General Hansen was startled into jumping up by the sudden sound of explosions.

"What's going on?" he roared at the Communication Soldier, "What happened?"

"Sir, our artillery position has been destroyed!" the Communication Soldier reported in terror, "The Long Country used some kind of Multi-tube Rocket Launcher to carry out a saturation attack; the 5th Artillery Battalion has been almost completely wiped out!"

"What?" Brigadier General Hansen said in disbelief, "How could they possibly have found our artillery position? It was hidden so well!"

"Not only that, sir," the Communication Soldier continued, their voice trembling, "they are also conducting precision strikes on our logistics area and command post. They are using some kind of... some kind of bomb we have never seen before, with immense power!"

Brigadier General Hansen wanted to say something more, but another violent explosion interrupted him. This explosion was very close to the command post; the entire underground bunker was shaking, and dust fell in rustles from the ceiling.
