Chapter 550: Anti-Gravity Technology?!

~6 min read 1,157 words

The communications officer interjected: "Sonar shows its engine noise is abnormally low; the sound of conventional thrusters is almost inaudible. What kind of power is this thing using to move forward?"

Another technician, holding a photo that had just been developed, turned pale: "Look at this streamlined design... it completely overturns our hydrodynamics theory. Even our most advanced submarines don't have this kind of streamlining!"

Colonel Kolosov of Beijixiong Guo was also recording various data, his notebook densely packed with observations and questions:

"Hull material? Unknown; the gloss does not match any known alloy."

"Propulsion system? No obvious external structure; likely internal."

"Buoyancy principle? Conventional displacement theory cannot explain the source of its buoyancy."

"Structural integrity? According to existing engineering theory, a platform of this size cannot maintain structural integrity."

The more Kolosov wrote, the more terrified he felt. Finally, he threw down his pen and slammed his fist on the table: "This isn't a gap in technology; this is a gap in civilization levels! Where on earth did Long Country obtain this kind of technology?"

Just as the intelligence officers from various countries were frantically recording, Li Mingyuan was leisurely drinking tea, looking at the "scout ship" in the distance through the observation window.

"It's about time." He put down his teacup and said to the communications officer, "Notify the engine room; prepare to show the true strength of the 'Kunpeng'."

The communications officer pressed the intercom: "Engine room, this is the command cabin. Prepare to execute the 'Thunder Plan'. Countdown: 10 seconds."

Li Mingyuan sat back in the command chair and fastened his seatbelt, a cunning smile on his lips: "Let's give these foreigners a performance they will never forget."

At this moment, the reconnaissance personnel from various countries were still immersed in shock at the appearance and construction of the "Kunpeng", completely unaware of what was about to happen.

Suddenly, the hidden propulsion port at the tail of the "Kunpeng" opened, and a beam of blinding blue light sprayed out. The intensity of the light was so great that it was clearly visible even in daylight. Accompanied by an earth-shattering roar, the posture of the entire behemoth changed abruptly.

"What's going on?" Thomson stared, dumbfounded, as the light spot on the radar screen suddenly elongated, "The target is accelerating!"

"Accelerating? To what speed?"

"20 knots... 40 knots... 80 knots... My God, it's still increasing! 100 knots... 150 knots... This is impossible!" The Radar Operator's voice trembled, "200 knots... 250 knots... The instrument must be malfunctioning!"

But this was not an instrument malfunction. The "Kunpeng" was accelerating instantly from a near-stationary state with terrifying acceleration visible to the naked eye. The seawater behind it was torn apart by the powerful thrust, forming a huge trench hundreds of meters long, with walls of water on both sides reaching over ten meters high, as spectacular as Moses parting the sea.

The pilot of the high-altitude reconnaissance plane was completely stunned: "Headquarters! The target is accelerating! My God... it is surpassing my flight speed! I cannot track it!"

The camera could only capture a blurry silver-gray afterimage and that continuous blue tail flame.

Underwater, the submarine of Beijixiong Guo encountered an even greater disaster. The water pressure shockwave generated when the "Kunpeng" swept past at high speed caused the entire submarine to shake violently, and alarms sounded one after another inside the cabin.

"Emergency surface! Emergency surface!" the submarine captain shouted hysterically, "Sonar is disabled! All systems are being interfered with!"

The screen in front of the sonar operator was full of static, completely covered by unknown interference signals. "Sir, the speed detected by sonar... has exceeded 300 knots!"

"Nonsense! No maritime vehicle can reach this speed!" the captain roared, but the fear could not be hidden in his voice.

By this time, the "Kunpeng" had already moved far away from the reconnaissance area, turning into a small dot on the distant sea level before finally disappearing. All it left behind was a stretch of sea surface stirred into a frenzy, and endless shock in the hearts of the intelligence officers of various countries.

At the Star-Spangled Country command center, there was dead silence. The ticking of various instruments and communication equipment sounded particularly harsh. Several Advanced military officers were pale, staring at the data and images just transmitted, unable to speak for a long time.

"This does not conform to the laws of physics..." a physicist said, trembling, "An object of this mass, reaching this speed on the water surface... it would be torn apart by the resistance it generates itself!"

"350 knots... its top speed reached 350 knots..." the intelligence analyst muttered to himself, "Our fastest fighter jets only reach 600-plus knots, and that is flying in the thin atmosphere at high altitude! Reaching 350 knots on the water surface... this is simply... magic!"

"Its acceleration is even more inconceivable," an engineer added, "From 10 knots to 350 knots in less than 30 seconds. Under this kind of acceleration, the personnel inside should be crushed into meat patties!"

The situation in Beijixiong Guo was no better. After returning to the Kremlin, Colonel Kolosov reported his observations to a group of Advanced military officers and scientists in the war room.

"Comrades, I have to say, Long Country has mastered some kind of technology that completely transcends our understanding." Kolosov's tone was heavy, "Its material science, propulsion technology, structural engineering, aerodynamics... each one is at least thirty years ahead of us, if not more."

"Impossible!" A Military general slammed the table and stood up, "Long Country was still fighting a civil war last year! Their industrial base is pitifully weak! How could they possibly—"

"That is the problem," Kolosov interrupted him, "By all logic, they indeed could not possess this technology. But the 'Kunpeng' is right there; it is real, and I saw it with my own eyes. There are only two explanations for this: either they obtained this technology from somewhere, or..."

"Or what?"

Kolosov took a deep breath: "Or our understanding of Long Country has been wrong from the very beginning. Perhaps they are far more powerful than we imagined, and have just been hiding their strength."

The conference room was deathly silent; this possibility was even more terrifying than the "Kunpeng" itself.

Meanwhile, in the Star-Spangled Country, inside the office of the Intelligence Bureau Chief, Director Colby was facing a room full of shaken intelligence officers and scientists.

"Give me a reasonable explanation!" Colby roared, "What on earth is that thing? How did it do all of this?"

A young scientist hesitated and raised a hand: "Perhaps... perhaps we should consider some unconventional possibilities..."

"What do you mean?"

"For example... anti-gravity technology." The scientist said cautiously, "Or some kind of propulsion principle we have yet to discover. It could even be... alien technology."

"Alien technology?" Colby's voice lowered dangerously, "Are you suggesting that I report to the leader that Long Country is using alien technology?"
