Chapter 497: Suitcase

The suitcase the man mentioned by Wang Dachuan was pulling was very small, about 20 inches in size.

Logically, such a small case could not possibly hold a person, even a five‑year‑old boy.

But under different circumstances, it could fit.

Wang Dachuan deliberately did not voice his speculation in front of the child's parents, mainly fearing they couldn't bear hearing it.

After the man left, the police officers also departed one after another.

They prepared to check the monitoring again, to see where the person pulling the suitcase went after leaving.

According to Wang Dachuan's conjecture, the suitcase might contain the child's corpse.

Under normal circumstances, such a small case couldn't hold a five‑year‑old boy, but if the child had already been harmed, it could possibly fit.

The police had dealt with cases of moving a corpse in a suitcase before.

With the mall manager's assistance, the police queried the monitoring again.

The footage showed the man dragging the suitcase left the Restroom and walked straight out of the mall.

Because of that action, the officers instantly found him more suspicious.

"Back to the Police Station, retrieve the external mall surveillance cameras!" Han Fei said as he stood up to leave.

Inside the mall, only internal cameras could be accessed; for external footage, they had to return to the Police Station.

But as soon as he stood, Xu Mo pressed him back down to a seat.

"Time is urgent; let's check here. Why go back? Going back would just waste time,"

"Check here? How can we…" before he finished, Han Fei recalled that Xu Mo was a computer expert, a hacker, with a computer and internet; Xu Mo could hack into the monitoring system to query footage, saving them the trip back, and the Monitoring Room happened to have a computer and internet.

"Then let's check here. Approximately how long?" Han Fei asked.

At that moment, Xu Mo had already begun operating; without looking up, he said while working, "Very quickly, a few minutes will finish it."

Moments later, Xu Mo successfully used the mall's Monitoring Room computer to hack the system and accessed the external surveillance.

The mall manager watched the operation, stunned.

"Good fellow, are the police this good now? A flurry of keystrokes, and they got the external footage? Could this be the legendary hacker?"

He stepped forward two paces, eager to see Xu Mo's next moves, wanting to learn.

But as soon as he got close, the officers ushered him aside.

With the surveillance help, the police quickly pinpointed the suspect's destination.

The footage showed that after leaving the mall, the person took a taxi to Yangcheng University.

Several police cars drove through the campus gate.

The quickest way to find someone on campus is to go to the Administration Building and ask the teachers there for help.
