Chapter 105: Can't you have some discipline, Jiaoyang?!

~8 min read 1,491 words

"Is the opposing team out of their minds?" advent noticed that ever since the pause, Tyloo had been playing without any method.

If their previous sudden push through the Arch to hit A Site was a bad gamble, then these last few rounds were just a bit presumptuous.

Is this all there is to Tyloo's tactical research on VG? They seem to understand their logic, but in reality, it is riddled with errors and lacks any coordination.

This can be seen from JamYoung's performance; at this moment, JamYoung's stats have already climbed to second place in the match.

"I don't know, it feels like they suddenly don't know how to play, just relying purely on dry peeking and re-fragging." After finishing off the last Terrorist pushing out of A Second Floor at the platform, JamYoung replied.

What he likes most is pure aim duels without utility interference; Tyloo put all their focus on Jiaoyang, which reduced his pressure significantly and allowed him to slowly find his form.

"Jiaoyang set a trap, have you forgotten who their Commander is?" aumaN pointed out the truth.

"No wonder, I always felt like they seemed to understand us, but not entirely." advent nodded: "Freeman wants to use Kaze to counter Jiaoyang, he's really overthinking it."

As they were saying this, not long after the new round started, gunfire rang out from the Middle: 【Ori used AWP to kill Kaze through the Smoke Grenade】

"I actually understand Kaze quite well."

Jiaoyang didn't linger and jumped straight out of VIP.

Without the cover of an offensive sniper, he became even more unscrupulous, showing a difference compared to Kaze—madness.

After getting a kill with his defensive sniper, he didn't retreat, but instead, like an Asura, kept moving forward to hunt for people to slaughter.

He had a reason to dare to do this; aumaN from B Short, along with JamYoung from the Arch, pulled out together to become Jiaoyang's bodyguards.

【Ori used AWP to Headshot kill Summer】

While he cleared the Sewer, the sound of aumaN's AUG rang out.

【aumaN used AUG to Headshot kill BnTeT (JamYoung Flashbang assist)】

【JamYoung used AK-47 to Headshot kill Attacker】

In less than half a minute, somebody, who was still preparing to throw grenades to harass A Site, faced a 1v5 Clutch.

Unfortunately, there were no miracles.

【zhokiNg used M4A4 to kill somebody】

Team wipe!

"You guys pushed Middle without even telling me?"

With his teammates taking the round on full auto, advent, who was jumping to peek from the White Car at B Site, suddenly felt a lack of presence.

"Isn't that the set tactic?" Seeing his teammates in the Arch already pushing Middle to get kills, zhokiNg went straight to guard A1 according to the tactic.

【Line 26 is a continuation of Line 25】

"I know exactly what Jiaoyang wants to do now."

aumaN arrived at B Short the moment Jiaoyang killed Kaze through the smoke; sure enough, Jiaoyang jumped straight down into the Sewer.

"You really have guts; only Summer wouldn't expect you to jump."

"You guys are in good form right now, with people backing you up, what is there to be afraid of?" Jiaoyang wouldn't say that he actually had a chance to use 【Angel's Protection】 to get a Blind Snipe kill.

Upon hearing this, aumaN immediately reported him to advent: "Lao Liang, this guy has no discipline!"

advent gave him a punch: "Who cares about discipline if you can win? If you kill five, I guarantee I won't say a word."

The first half ended 13:2; in the second half, VG lost the Pistol Round and was chased for two more rounds, losing their winning streak DEBUFF before they started scoring again.

In the 21st round, both sides were fully equipped with guns and grenades.

"Are you ready?" advent asked before the countdown ended.

Several people confirmed their utility again: "OK."

At the start, zhokiNg headed straight for the Terrorist Entrance and threw an Incendiary Grenade and a Flashbang into the Sewer to ensure the Counter-Terrorists couldn't get information on B2 and to prevent a Rush.

JamYoung threw a self-flash at the second floor to contest the area: "A2 is clear."

As he said this, he poured a High Explosive Grenade and an Incendiary Grenade into the second floor.

"Middle, get ready." advent threw a VIP Smoke Grenade, and zhokiNg's full-seal Smoke Grenade for the Arch followed.

aumaN also followed up with a Jungle Smoke Grenade and continued the fire in the Sewer, charging straight into the Arch.

Then, it was endless Flashbangs.

20 seconds, utility thrown.

And the purpose of all this—【Ori used SG553 to Headshot kill Summer (JamYoung Flashbang assist)】

【Ori used SG553 to Headshot kill BnTeT (advent Flashbang assist)】

【Ori used SG553 to Headshot kill Attacker (zhokiNg Flashbang assist)】

A Site cleared!

"Holy crap, you killed them so fast?" aumaN, who was originally responsible for re-fragging, was stunned.

"You said it was an automatic sniper rifle." Jiaoyang inspected the SG553 and found that its performance was indeed good, it's just that after being so familiar with the AK-47, he might be a bit unaccustomed to it.

【Line 50 is a continuation of Line 49】

JamYoung was also dumbfounded; wasn't he supposed to be the Entry Fragger?

He had just wide-peeked out of the second floor, and Jiaoyang had already killed everyone.

At this point, he didn't care about discipline anymore; for the sake of his rating, he rushed to the Police Base to find the remaining people.

Just as Jiaoyang said, "With people backing you up, what is there to be afraid of?"

【Kaze used AWP to kill JamYoung】

"Looks like you don't understand Kaze very well—" aumaN was already flanking by now.

He calculated the time, snuck out of the Dog Hole, and what was left for him was Kaze's back—【Ori used SG553 to kill Kaze (advent Flashbang assist)】

"Damn it! Can you have some discipline, Jiaoyang?!"

On the other side, zhokiNg took down the last one, somebody, and the round ended.

The final score of Mirage was locked at 16:5.

VG took two points in the B05, and Tyloo no longer had any room for error.

On the other side, in the Tyloo match room.

Freeman's makeshift tactics had absolutely no effect, and instead turned their once passable coordination into instinctual CS.

BnTeT glanced sideways at Freeman: "Is this your tactic?"

"My tactics are fine; it's you all who didn't execute them well!" Freeman was still being stubborn.

"Have you ever played against Jiaoyang?" BnTeT asked in return.

Freeman thought that as long as he could trade kills in time, he could deal with Jiaoyang; this was truly too naive.

If Jiaoyang missed his shots, it would be fine; he would just nimbly escape and not let the attacking sniper counter-aim him.

But once he killed someone, he would become even more aggressive and kill the person trading the kill as well.

It was precisely because Freeman had never truly clashed with Jiaoyang that he didn't know just how terrifying this guy was.

Yet this rhetorical question of his only made Freeman angrier, and he retorted: "I would like to play against him, but do you all let me?"

The three mascots of Tyloo who were hit by the AOE looked displeased, and somebody took the initiative to step forward: "Big brother, if it's not working, I'll step down and let him try."

VG's discipline was maxed out today, holding the Smoke Grenade tightly and not giving a single chance; somebody's head had been blown off, and by now he had lost his fighting spirit, so being able to play one less match was fine too.

Official matches generally do not allow substituting a Coach mid-game, but there is still room to maneuver here:

One only needs to claim that a player has developed a sudden physical ailment and cannot continue to compete.

Especially in these online tournaments, the regulations aren't very strict; after all, no team has a Coach stronger than their players, otherwise why wouldn't they let the Coach play?

Hearing that even somebody wanted to run, BnTeT knew in his heart that it would likely be very difficult to reverse sweep this B05.

Thinking that this Freeman was simply a negative influence on the team, BnTeT gritted his teeth and said: "You keep playing; next map I'll give up my spot to him, otherwise people will say it's my problem as Commander again!"

kaze frowned; Tyloo was not like VG, which practiced a hands-off approach, and suddenly changing players in the team required strictly following procedures to request approval from management.

What BnTeT was doing likely wasn't as simple as just letting Freeman go up and try—

Freeman didn't consider that much; hearing BnTeT voluntarily give up his spot, he knew the chance for revenge was about to arrive!

He immediately rubbed his hands together and flipped through data, preparing the tactics for the next map, Nuke.
