Chapter 48: This Ori is Terrifyingly Strong
After losing points again, Tyloo finally called a Tactical Pause at the Coach's request.
Johnta was a bit overwhelmed; the opponent's tactics were basically all within his expectations, nothing more than some variations of what they had used when playing against NaVi before.
His original plan was for Tyloo to rely on the Default as much as possible to get more points on the CT fang, and once they switched to the T fang, they would just execute the established tactics in the tactical manual.
He hadn't expected BnTeT to be played in circles by the opponent; if things continued like this, losing too many points on the CT fang would leave the second half with pitifully little room for error.
Pulling down the microphone on his headset, Johnta said in a low voice, "BnTeT, you cannot be limited to the tactical manual. If you aren't adapting, then return to your comfort zone."
"What do you mean?"
"Aggressive gunplay."
The match began, and the CT did not choose to ECO to save for the big sniper rifle again, instead opting for a Qiangqiang Submachine Gun.
They were going to play the most classic unconventional defensive routine on Nuke—reading novels every day is super practical, 𝘵𝘵𝘬. 𝘵𝘸 read with ease.
"AB, GO!"
The five CTs charged with the posture of someone executing an emergency hostage rescue operation, pressing out rapidly from A Site Yellow Room and B Site Iron Plate with great momentum.
"Iron Door hugging the wall."
"The one holding the angle in T-Hall is taken out."
"Good shot, watch the Ladder."
"Ladder killed! Are there any more?"
"None."
"NICE!"
The five members of Tyloo successfully launched a surprise attack, and the unprepared Qiyou Trio were cut down directly.
The CTs immediately swapped to AKs and utility, going from penniless to rich instantly.
"Didn't see the Bomb." BnTeT was not careless.
"The sniper rifle dropped last round isn't here either." As a Sniper, xccurate was very sensitive to the big sniper rifle.
"The ones left are kaze and Ori; they should be controlling Outside."
"They might have already gone down K1."
"Or they might have gone to the Main Door or the Third Floor."
"Let's group up."
Since they had already started playing dynamically, BnTeT didn't mind being even more dynamic.
Playing a round without information like this, letting teammates lurk alone would only give the opponent an opportunity.
On the other side, VG's communication was much less; it wasn't that they had been wiped out, but rather that everyone was focused on the Clutch.
Jiaoyang and kaze had already run to the Main Door when the fighting started in T-Hall; if T-Hall could hold out for a while longer, perhaps they could execute a pincer attack.
However, since the front had already been cleared, if they chose to try and flank now, it would be assuming the opponent was stupid.
Now all they had to do was wait for the opponent to spread out and then slowly look for an opportunity.
And the position they chose was none other than the Third Floor!
The room under the Third Floor connected A Site, Iron Plate, and Outside; it was the place where they had the most tactical options.
"If it's really not working, just save," advent suggested after the two reached a safe position.
In a 2v5 Clutch, the opponent was almost fully equipped with guns and grenades; the possibility of winning was too small.
And since their side had been trading wins and losses, their Economy was average, so it was worth saving the big sniper rifle, AK, and full utility.
Jiaoyang deeply agreed; the failure this round was because the T-Hall Default wasn't done well, and they had been careless.
If they saved this round, they could balance their Economy in the next round and still play another Long Gun Round.
It was just that the opponent didn't seem to have any intention of letting them go.
Bang!
The pursuers had arrived; on the Third Floor, kaze's sniper rifle fired.
"Big sniper on the Third Floor." Tyloo's microphone, the dead Summer called out the position.
"Covered." xccurate finished the kill cleanly, watched the big sniper rifle on the corpse vanish into thin air, and immediately said, "The one left picked up the sniper and ran."
"Flash thrown, jumping to the Third Floor!" somebody in the Inner Site was blinded and gave the information.
Beep, beep, beep~ The sound of the Bomb being planted rang out.
"Don't rush! Fake Plant!" BnTeT shouted.
Bang! From behind the pillar cover at A Site, Jiaoyang pulled out.
【Ori killed somebody with AWP】
"Trade!" BnTeT hurried back to the Main Door and called for Attack at the Main Door to trade the kill in the voice chat.
"Can't, he hid too fast." Just as Attack pulled out, Jiaoyang retreated again.
Beep~ Planting the Bomb again!
"Planting again, what do we do?" Attack was a bit uncertain.
"They've already reached the Third Floor, go up!"
The situation turned into a 3v1 with plenty of information; no matter if the opponent was really planting or doing a Fake Plant, without room to maneuver, one man could never defeat four.
BnTeT stepped forward quickly, his position directly overtaking Attack.
Footsteps sounded; Jiaoyang confirmed that the Main Door direction was approaching. Behind the cover, he retreated toward the Yellow Room, actually getting closer to BnTeT.
Hasn't he peeked from the Third Floor yet?! The big sniper's crosshair had been fixed on that line on the Third Floor the whole time.
There wasn't much time left, the footsteps were getting closer and closer; if things continued like this, he would have to deal with what was behind him...
He peeked!
Bang!
Without any hesitation, he fired, turned his head, and went for a direct Blind Snipe!
Regardless of the result, he switched to his Pistol.
The sound of the Glock rang out briefly in the Inner Site, and then—silence.
"Hoo—" Jiaoyang let out a breath, waiting for the adrenaline to fade.
None of the people from VG made a sound, not even shouting a "nice."
"Are you really Jiaoyang? Could someone have possessed you?"
aumaN looked at Jiaoyang with a dazed expression and muttered.
That 180-degree top-to-bottom turn and Blind Snipe just now, even with information, was too outrageous.
If they could see the chat, they would know how many people were spamming "hacks"; perhaps many were just memeing, but quite a few were starting to believe in conspiracy theories—is this really a play a human can make?
"I don't know either, I was just thinking about saving the Sniper Rifle."
Thinking of that incomplete 'God's Descent' talent, Jiaoyang only felt that his brain had been filled with the obsession to save the gun at that moment, and anyone who tried to stop him had to be sent to hell.
"When we teamed up with Xiaojue before, the defensive sniping Jiaoyang played was like this too; he'd miss shots while holding angles, but his gun-saving was very accurate."
advent recalled the details of Jiaoyang using the Sniper Rifle.
zhokiNg nodded to show his agreement.
Regardless, these people from VG knew clearly that these plays were all made by Jiaoyang with his own hands, and there were no boxes on the screen.
And over at Tyloo—
"How the f*** are we supposed to play this?" Even BnTeT started using profanity.
"Is it really not a hack?" Attack had been tapped to death by two Glock shots, and recalling the previous Clutch in the Outside where it was him and BnTeT, Ori had picked one off and then held down the left mouse button without letting go, which felt a bit strange.
They didn't have much research on the new VG and had only started picking it up these past few days, so they didn't understand many of the details.
But based on the performance of a few matches, this Ori was truly too bold, Rush-ing through Smoke Grenades and almost never getting caught on timing.
Although he had proven himself offline, who could guarantee he wouldn't secretly cheat online later?
As professional players, they certainly wouldn't jump to conclusions, but precisely because they had been in the professional scene for many years and had seen all sorts of weird things, they would have such suspicions.
"Should we have the boss look into it?" somebody was also very familiar with the management, so he suggested.
The tournament was commissioned by DH to be assisted by 5E, and the servers used for the match were also 5E's.
As a 5E team, it was already common knowledge that Tyloo would secretly go through the back door.
"Let's keep playing; I don't hold any expectations for 5E's anti-cheat."
BnTeT just hadn't recovered from the Clutch, but now that he had calmed down, he didn't really think there was any major problem.
He knew that the value of VG's CS Division was limited and not worth the risk of VG backing a player who was hacking.
So there was only one reason—this Ori was terrifyingly strong!
