11 Dreaming

Through hypnosis, Li Yingqi learned from Yun Wenwen that she was indeed the owner of the livestream channel; the truth was both infuriating and heartbreaking.

Soon, under Li Yingqi's control, Yun Wenwen herself revealed the location where all her voyeuristic video recordings were stored and mentioned that she also had a backup saved on a cloud drive.

With the remote assistance and tireless efforts of the Xuanmi Group's technicians, they spent an entire night meticulously screening for all dangerous factors and incidentally helped clear away the voyeuristic videos of other innocent victims.

Once all of Yun Wenwen's backups and existing videos were thoroughly deleted, Yu Lianyun felt as if something evil had quietly slipped away from her. Possessing an exceptionally high spiritual sensitivity, she immediately realized that the thing leaving her body must have been the Curse from the videotape, and she was truly overjoyed.

Yu Lianyun was happy that her fated death had been altered, while the members of the Xuanmi Group were immensely relieved to have saved the world.

As for Yun Wenwen, the young girl who had gone astray, the group unanimously decided to give her a chance at a complete life. A single phone call had her handed over to the Enforcer, and what awaited Yun Wenwen thereafter would be a lifetime of hardship and atonement she would never forget.

By the time the voyeurism incident was confirmed to be over, it was already six o'clock the next morning when Yu Lianyun and Li Yingqi returned to the hotel. Having pulled an all-nighter, they could no longer resist their exhaustion; they collapsed onto the bed and both fell asleep.

In a hazy state, Yu Lianyun felt a sense of ethereal bliss. She galloped through a sea of flowers in her dream, laughing wantonly and shouting freely; it had been a long time since she had such a beautiful dream.

But soon, she realized that this did not seem to be a good dream after all.

Running and running, Yu Lianyun saw a stone well standing in the middle of the sea of flowers. Upon seeing that familiar stone well, Yu Lianyun's smile froze along with the frozen space-time.

"W... why? Didn't I already..." Yu Lianyun was dazed and incredulous, terror gathering in her pupils.

Yu Lianyun turned to run, but upon looking back, she found a wall behind her. The surrounding environment changed abruptly; the sea of flowers shattered into pieces like torn wallpaper, revealing the true environment she was currently in: an old house filled with withered yellow leaves and devoid of life. The stone well that should have been behind her now appeared before her once again. From then on, no matter how she shifted her gaze, the stone well and the environment seemed to rotate with her, making it completely impossible to escape.

Yu Lianyun gasped for air as she backed away, pressing against the wall behind her, her terrified gaze fixed intently on the stone well that seemed carved into her eyes and branded into her mind.

In silence, a pale, withered hand, its five fingers stained with blood, reached out from inside the well and gripped the edge of the stone well with force.

Witnessing this eerie scene, Yu Lianyun wanted to close her eyes to comfort herself with the idea that "what the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over." However, she found that her eyelids felt as if they were being held open by force, unable to close, and her entire body was unable to move, as if pinned in place by an invisible power. Thus, she could only watch helplessly as the shocking scene continued to unfold.

A pale woman with disheveled hair was seen resting her hands on the edge of the well, slowly poking her head out. The single eye exposed between the clusters of hair was staring straight at Yu Lianyun. That eye, with its blood-red socket and devoid of any vitality, had a clearly visible character "Six" engraved within its pupil.

At this moment, Yu Lianyun understood completely: all that talk of escaping a disaster, all that talk of surviving a catastrophe—it was all just her own assumption.

The Curse had never intended to let her go; the pale woman in white recorded in the videotape had still locked onto her as the next target to kill.

Therefore, the "Seven" symbolizing "seven days" had descended to the "Six" symbolizing "six days."

Why on earth was this happening? Could there still be an uncleared tape? Yu Lianyun couldn't help but think.

Just as Yu Lianyun thought the terrifying woman in white would only intimidate her for now and would not crawl out of the well again, the other party seemed to sense her thoughts. The woman in white, who had been preparing to release her hands and fall back into the well, suddenly changed her movements. She leaped out of the well in one motion, exposing her twisted, deformed body, and rushed toward her at high speed in a bizarre, crawling posture.

The woman in white moved extremely fast. Yu Lianyun barely had time to react; she could only cover her face with her hands, screaming in despair.

Yet, ten seconds passed, and Yu Lianyun did not feel any sensation of being touched; she only felt a gust of wind whistle past her.

Opening her eyes to look, the woman in white—whose facial features, save for a pair of eyes, were almost entirely absent—was now inches away. Yu Lianyun's heartbeat stalled. The two locked eyes, both staring wide; one out of terror, the other revealing ferocity.

Feeling a dampness at both her ears, Yu Lianyun glanced with her peripheral vision and saw several strands of the woman in white's hair transforming into black snakes, like Medusa's serpentine hair. They brushed past Yu Lianyun's ears and tightly coiled around something behind her.

A chill ran down Yu Lianyun's spine. She looked back and saw a monstrous hand with only four claws reaching out from a spatial wormhole that had quietly appeared behind her. Judging by the intent and movement of that hideous giant hand, the other party was actually trying to grab her.

Seeing the familiar icy aura radiating from the monster's hand, Yu Lianyun immediately realized that this hand was the Other-dimensional Creature behind the nameless female corpse.

That Other-dimensional Creature had indeed appeared, and it had just tried to take her away!

Was the woman in white actually saving her!?

Yu Lianyun quickly dismissed her overly simplistic thought; the woman in white was not trying to save her, but simply did not want a human she had targeted to be influenced by other forces. To the woman in white, Yu Lianyun's pure body and highly sensitive soul were her best food.

Therefore, the woman in white was fighting tooth and nail against the Other-dimensional Creature that attempted to snatch her prey. This coil of serpentine hair locked tightly onto the arm that was trembling uncontrollably. The woman in white let out a low, unintelligible growl, and her hair retracted, actually attempting to drag the Other-dimensional Creature hidden behind the wormhole out.

The woman in white's hair was quite supple and possessed absurd strength; before long, she had dragged more than half of the Other-dimensional Creature's body out of the spatial wormhole.

For the first time, the Other-dimensional Creature revealed its hideous and twisted appearance before Yu Lianyun: hunched over, humanoid, with a third arm that shouldn't exist on a human growing from its upper back. Its face was deformed, with an unknown oily, wax-like liquid squirming on it, and its entire body was packed with overly dense muscle lines. That was the true form of the Other-dimensional Creature.

Seeing the appearance of the Other-dimensional Creature clearly, Yu Lianyun felt a chill return to her, and the ambient temperature dropped drastically once more.

Yu Lianyun wanted to dodge, but she was in a dilemma, as the Abnormalities on both her left and right sides wanted to kill her. After a moment, Yu Lianyun gritted her teeth and decided to hide behind the woman in white. At least the woman in white wouldn't let her die right now, whereas that Other-dimensional Creature might not; it had come with murderous intent. Although she couldn't fully understand the language of the Other-dimensional Creature, her intuition told her she must never side with that one.

The woman in white did not speak, only staring indifferently at the strange creature from another dimension. Immediately after, she suddenly widened her eyes, her pupils trembling. The long hair, like strands of black snakes, suddenly tightened, and the Other-dimensional Creature's limbs and head were completely pulverized. The Other-dimensional Creature vanished on the spot without a trace.
