Chapter 245: 241 The Invading Race
The Vampire not only plundered their space-faring vessels from the Huogu, but even the Huogu themselves eventually became food for the Vampire. The knowledge and wisdom of the Huogu were thus integrated into the Vampire civilization, causing the Vampire civilization to experience a leap in advancement.
As the Vampires grew rapidly, they finally realized that other civilizations and other races existed beyond the planet they inhabited. It turned out their planet was not peaceful; beyond the distant reaches of time and space, there existed other, more habitable living spaces.
Stored within that vessel the Huogu had crashed onto their planet was information regarding a location similar to interstellar coordinates. That was originally a brilliant planet the Huogu had intended to invade, but now it had unexpectedly become a windfall for the Vampires.
The unique flesh-and-blood civilization of the Vampires and the biological technology of the Huogu sparked an incredible reaction. The two complemented each other, and through their fusion, a new type of Vampire civilization developed. They learned to further modify their own bodies and completed the modification of the vessels left behind by the Huogu on their planet, using a certain substance secreted by their own bodies to convert into the vessel's power, driving the vessels to move freely through outer space.
Finally having obtained the ability to travel through the universe, the Vampires could not wait to descend upon the planet marked by the vessel's system.
Yet when they finally arrived on Earth, the Vampires were shocked to discover that while this planet might be beautiful and colorful, it was absolutely unsuitable for their survival. The fresh air, stable temperatures, and gentle sunlight here were lethal poisons to them.
The Vampires who arrived on Earth were quite fragile; they could only hide temporarily in the dark, deep underground.
The Vampires knew this was all only temporary; they had already planned a method to rapidly transform this planet into one like their own.
The alien faith brought by the Huogu, the "Thousand-Illusion Moon"—that terrifying Alien God existing within the Flesh Dimension that had always attempted to annex other dimensional worlds—was the one who had personally transformed the Inner World where it lived into the scene humans saw today, or rather, the fact that the Inner World had become the terrifying sight it was now was something the Huogu had personally caused.
The harsh environment of the Inner World was not suitable for long-term human survival, but it was incomparably suitable for the Vampires.
Thus, the Vampires hoped to pull the Alien God Thousand-Illusion Moon from the Inner World into the real Earth. In this way, the Thousand-Illusion Moon could exert its full capabilities to invade this world and transform it, thereby turning Earth into a new home for the Vampires. Here, there would no longer be the danger of daily nuclear explosions and the planet being on the verge of disintegration as on their home planet, and they could survive and multiply for longer.
They attempted to use human skins to blend into the human world, and then used humans to help them pay the price required for the Advent Ritual to summon the Thousand-Illusion Moon.
And this was, in fact, very successful. Humans were very easy to deceive; like those Huogu, they had complex faiths but fickle minds, and a portion of humanity was full of servility toward the strong.
To humans, or to other races in this starry sky, the bizarre existence of the Vampires was powerful and invincible. The Vampires only had to display a little of their advanced civilization's technology, which was difficult for humans at the time to understand but quite shocking, and the humans quickly fell into their conspiracy, voluntarily taking on the price of the "Thousand-Illusion Moon Advent Ritual."
Among them, the founder of Kisaragi High School, who was also the first principal of Kisaragi High School, was a numb and steadfast executor of this ritual. He founded the school and used teachers, students, and other staff to complete the Advent Ritual for him.
Completing the Advent Ritual was, in reality, completing a matrix capable of spanning space-time dimensions. The Vampires injected a large amount of negative emotion extract, extracted from the rich emotions of humans—a type of energy similar to a Blessing—into the matrix. After this, the Blessing power, which had previously behaved like an inert gas, quickly boiled and erupted, pouring in large quantities into the Advent Ritual matrix, and subsequently helped Kisaragi High School open one Inner World Space Channel after another.
After the Inner World channels were opened, the sinful and arduous living environment of the Inner World attracted the Vampires. They immediately solidified their belief in invasion and prayed to the gluttonous and greedy Thousand-Illusion Moon, hoping she would help them transform Earth.
The Thousand-Illusion Moon, which almost never responded, seemed to have received the prayers of its believers and actually agreed to the Vampires: as long as they opened the Space Channel of this world and allowed a portion of its massive body to pass through into this world, then everything they wanted would be within their grasp.
The events that happened later could basically be connected to what He Jia'an knew.
To ensure the normal progress of each Advent Ritual, the Vampires often hid in the shadows, carefully selecting certain sacrifices, and then sent those sacrifices to serve as raw materials for new energy. They did not expose their killing casually, solely to be able to lure more and attract more humans.
As time passed, the number of Space Channels opened by Kisaragi High School became greater and greater, which also meant that the collected Blessing power was becoming concentrated. When the collected Blessing power reached a certain limit, it evolved into what people knew as a Curse.
Yet, the Vampires did not care about the problem of the Curse; they were more concerned with being able to let the Thousand-Illusion Moon descend.
He Jia'an listened to the Vampire's narration. Although it seemed like a long, drawn-out account, through this type of communication similar to telepathy, it actually only took a few seconds for his brain to quickly understand and digest it all.
"You are all invaders. I will not understand your feelings, nor will I stand from your perspective to think; this has no meaning," He Jia'an said slowly. The look in his eyes as he gazed at the other party became more resolute and firm.
Regardless of what kind of existence the other party was, being higher than humans, he would not submit.
"Moreover, that Matsumoto fellow becoming that way was clearly also your handiwork," He Jia'an said, narrowing his eyes. "A group of guys who have no respect for life—how could you make me respect your thoughts? You are nothing but a bunch of beasts."
The Vampire was quite dissatisfied with He Jia'an's stance. The human skin it wore suddenly expanded several times over, stretching out its clothes, and then quickly shrank again. From the Apertures of the skin, a large mass of blood-red fluid rapidly crawled out. Within the fluid were densely packed eggs resembling eyes, and each egg was "staring" at He Jia'an.
"Is that so? So you are afraid of the one who gave me the New Year Red Envelope," He Jia'an received the Vampire's telepathic message again, and he could not help but laugh out loud.
Whoosh—
A large expanse of blood-red fluid spread out into a giant cloth, quickly wrapping around He Jia'an and trapping him within. Then, it suddenly contracted, wrapping the person up like a rice dumpling.
The next moment, a dazzling, scorching light erupted. The blood-red fluid that had bound and wrapped He Jia'an was blasted by the light into a puddle of ordinary blood, which splattered all over the ground.
"It seems you have also been classified as evil spirits," He Jia'an muttered, looking at the New Year Red Envelope that had blackened by another corner.
