Chapter 136: Tsunade Returns to Konoha
The architecture inside the Kamui Space was clearly designed with care; it was perfectly normal for Uchiha Feiyu, who held great power in Sunagakure, to find architects and ninjas to help him design and build for himself.
At the very center of the space, it had been designed as a four-story manor villa, which was clearly the result of a great deal of effort.
Pushing open the manor villa's gate, a soft, hot body immediately wrapped around him; Uchiha Feiyu hugged the Tsunade who had pounced on him and reached out to pat her backside twice lightly.
Tsunade gasped twice, wagged the artificial tail behind her, brushed it against Uchiha Feiyu's hand, and looked at Uchiha Feiyu with eyes that seemed as if they were about to drip water.
"Feiyu... have you gathered the intelligence yet?"
"I have. Uzumaki Kushina is giving birth in two weeks; that will be the perfect time to strike."
"That's great... then Feiyu won't have to leave during this time, right!"
"What? Does a milk cow like you have some ideas?"
"Woo, it was clearly you, this Uchiha brat, who turned me into this..."
Tsunade's eyes were unfocused, and her entire body leaned against Uchiha Feiyu.
"Lady Tsunade?! Is it really you?!"
At the thought that, according to Uchiha Feiyu's plan, she would control all of Konoha and become Uchiha Feiyu's leek patch, her mood became extremely complicated.
Uchiha Feiyu hugged Tsunade and entered the bedroom; as soon as the bedroom door opened, he saw Shizune inside, taking care of her own needs.
During the time he spent monitoring Konoha and gathering intelligence, Uchiha Feiyu himself had not been idle; every time he ended up full of rage at Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina's place, he basically vented it all on Tsunade and Shizune.
At this moment, the ninjas guarding the gate had recognized who the person walking over was, and one by one, they revealed expressions of astonishment:
Inside the Hokage Building.
Since then, Uchiha Feiyu had stayed in Konoha, using the two of them as tools to vent his anger; after multiple sessions of Dual Cultivation, Tsunade and Shizune's desires had been greatly amplified, and they couldn't help themselves the moment they saw Uchiha Feiyu.
"Woo... Lord Feiyu... Lady Tsunade... don't look, woo ahhh!"
Watching Shizune, who was so excited she was about to faint, Uchiha Feiyu pressed the big sheep in his arms onto her, and then he himself pounced onto the bed.
"Of course it's me, I'm back!"
Even though the original Tsunade had left in sorrow, she still held deep feelings for Konoha; however, these could not compare at all to the casual instructions Uchiha Feiyu whispered in her ear.
Putting away her complicated thoughts, Tsunade smiled and spoke, shouting out loud.
With the Dual Cultivation Technique of the Joyous Union Canon, the greater the gap in strength between the two parties, the faster the control over the Cauldron; given the strength gap between Uchiha Feiyu and Tsunade, in just a few days, Tsunade and Shizune had been molded into Uchiha Feiyu's shape.
And as Tsunade returned to Konoha, almost in a very short time, the entire Konoha had received the news.
Her expression was sunny with a hint of heroism, and she seemed to have no abnormalities; she even looked much better than the haggard and gloomy state she was in when she first left Konoha.
Namikaze Minato couldn't help but take it seriously; although he appeared calm and composed on the surface and often comforted his wife, the crisis of a jinchuriki giving birth was real, and he knew it in his heart.
Namikaze Minato was full of excitement; looking at the Anbu ninja reporting to him, he didn't leave any words at all and directly used a Flying Thunder God to disappear from the Hokage Office.
Looking at the ninja village before her with somewhat complicated eyes, Tsunade sighed softly; during this time, she and Shizune had been in the Kamui Space, obtaining a happiness she had never imagined, until she learned of Uchiha Feiyu's plan a few days ago.
"Lady Tsunade? She's back? That's truly great!"
More than a week passed quickly, and just three days before Kushina was due to give birth, Tsunade brought Shizune back to the gates of Konoha.
Because of this, although this Hokage appeared calm on the surface, the anxiety and panic in his heart were no less than his wife's.
After all, the Yellow Flash was a perfect Hokage on the surface, but in reality, he was an out-and-out romantic; how could a guy who would risk his life against the Nine-Tails and die for love just because his wife died not be worried?
Now that he heard of the arrival of Tsunade, one of the Legendary Sannin, not to mention how important this Princess of Konoha was to the entire village, her medical ninjutsu alone was a massive insurance policy for Uzumaki Kushina, who was about to give birth as the Nine-Tails jinchuriki; Namikaze Minato was naturally incredibly excited.
A golden light flashed by, and Namikaze Minato arrived directly at the gates of Konoha.
And at this moment, Tsunade had only just entered the gates of Konoha and was boredly chatting with the gate-guarding ninja who was processing her registration.
In fact, although ninja villages were strictly monitored and theoretically no different from national military bases, ninjas were also the group with the fastest efficiency; when ordinary ninjas returned to Konoha, they would at most report in, not even taking a minute.
Even those ninjas on emergency missions would sometimes pin a Kunai along with their documents directly onto the gate pillar when leaving Konoha—all to speed things up and save efficiency.
Clearly, Tsunade being delayed for so long at the gate was intentional on the part of the registering ninja, just to leave time for certain people in the village.
"Lady Tsunade, you're back!"
Namikaze Minato shouted with a look of surprise; Tsunade raised her head, looked at the little sun before her, and felt a slight sense of guilt in her heart.
The Namikaze Minato before her, even in Tsunade's eyes, could be called a perfect Hokage: kind to others, ruthless to enemies, powerful, loving Konoha, and full of vigorous vitality.
Compared to the Third Hokage, who was already decrepit and nearly rotten, Namikaze Minato was countless times stronger.
Yet, she was about to deceive this newest hope of Konoha, which would not only kill this sunny Hokage but also lead the entire Konoha into the abyss...
But these thoughts only flashed through Tsunade's mind; after recalling Uchiha Feiyu's face, a wave of obsession appeared in Tsunade's eyes, and that tiny bit of pity was instantly shattered.
"Yo, little Minato! You're already the Hokage now, are you still calling me 'Lady' 【Adult】?"
"Haha, I'm just used to it... How long do you plan to stay in Konoha this time, Lady Tsunade?"
Tsunade, having composed her mood, was also an actress; after all, controlling emotions and deceiving others had always been a basic skill for a ninja. She looked at Namikaze Minato with a half-smile:
"Are you worried about your little pepper? Rest assured, I've returned this time specifically for Kushina's safety."
Hearing this, Namikaze Minato's face lit up with joy, and then, as if thinking of something, he said:
"If that's the case, Lady Tsunade, your original condition..."
"You mean the hemophobia? Don't worry, that illness was cured a long time ago!"
Tsunade waved her hand nonchalantly and said.
After becoming Uchiha Feiyu's Cauldron, Tsunade's heart and eyes were filled only with Uchiha Feiyu; her feelings for Kato Dan and Nawaki had naturally faded long ago. Without those heart-wrenching feelings, there would naturally be no agonizing pain.
Although Namikaze Minato didn't know much about Tsunade's situation, he had no intention of prying into such matters and just happily said:
"It's good that Lady Tsunade has recovered; I'm truly grateful that you could come back now."
Hemophobia was actually not that rare among the ninja population, so Namikaze Minato knew that those who suffered from it were basically ninjas who had encountered tragic fates or even had their entire families wiped out; even if Tsunade had recovered, he wouldn't ask too much.
The Senju Clan still retained quite a bit of property in Konoha; although Tsunade was an out-and-out gambling addict and a big fat sheep, she hadn't managed to lose the entire clan estate. On the contrary, because of the Senju's special significance to the entire Konoha, that plot of land and the buildings were still specially taken care of every year.
And now, with Tsunade returning to live there, the once slightly deserted Senju Clan estate soon saw many visiting ninjas.
One had to know that Tsunade didn't just represent a Shadow-level Ninja of Konoha and a direct descendant of the Senju Clan; she was also the top doctor in the entire Ninja World, even the kind of Medical Ninja who was in a completely different league from the second-best.
As a profession that dances on the edge of a blade, being a ninja naturally involves all sorts of injuries and illnesses; even with magical Medical Ninjutsu that can facilitate recovery in a short time, many ninjas still end up with a body full of injuries and Aftereffects when facing overly complex wounds.
Under such circumstances, the significance of a world-class Medical Ninja to a ninja is self-evident.
Not to mention those ninjas who are already riddled with injuries and illnesses, even those who have no ailments of their own must always consider the future; even if they have great confidence in themselves, they still have to think about their relatives and friends.
These ninjas who came knocking were either looking for Tsunade to examine their ailments or trying to get on familiar terms with her; for the sake of being able to control Konoha in the future, Tsunade did not turn them all away.
Fortunately, most ninjas are very clear about the rules; Tsunade assigned numbers to this group of ninjas based on the urgency and severity of their conditions, and in reality, there were only about a hundred people to deal with, all of whom she pushed to a few days later.
This was only because Konoha had just finished the Ninja World War, which was why so many wounded and sick had accumulated; otherwise, there would not have been so many patients.
It can be said that a famous doctor like Tsunade, even without any titles, would absolutely be welcomed in any Ninja Village based solely on her Medical Ninjutsu.
Time soon arrived at three days later; on this day, a group of Konoha's high-level officials gathered at a secret base near Konoha.
"Tsunade, you have finally returned."
The Third Hokage wore a faint smile on his face as he looked at this former student of his, but unfortunately, Tsunade did not give him a pleasant look, instead rolling her eyes:
"Old man, don't make such a disgusting expression; I didn't come back because of you!"
If Tsunade still held a shred of guilt toward Minato, then she had absolutely no favorable impression of the Third Hokage.
Regardless of what kind of person the Third Hokage actually was, Konoha had indeed declined significantly under his hands.
In his youth, the Third Hokage could be called a hero of his generation; he suppressed Shimura Danzo and cultivated the backbone of the village at the level of the Legendary Sannin and White Fang, allowing Konoha's experts to experience an explosive surge.
It can be said that although he could not compare to the First in strength or the Second in the development of ninjutsu, this Professor of Ninjutsu was indeed more excellent than the previous two Hokage when it came to cultivating newcomers.
Unfortunately, as he aged, this Hokage became old and muddled, eventually failing to maintain his integrity in his later years; Hatake Sakumo committed suicide, Tsunade left, Orochimaru defected, Jiraiya wandered the Ninja World... these things cannot be said to be entirely the responsibility of the Third Hokage, but they are indeed closely related to him.
Just as Uchiha Feiyu said when he originally spread the dirt on Root, facing a Konoha that had rotted from the roots in its later stages, the Third Hokage's performance was either stupid or evil; in any case, he could not be called a qualified Hokage.
And in Tsunade's heart, there was another thought—if it weren't for this old man before her failing to manage Konoha well, how would Feiyu have left Konoha to start his own business?
If Uchiha Feiyu had stayed in Konoha, perhaps he would be the Hokage of Konoha now, and by then, Konoha could have completely unified the entire Ninja World.
Of course, it is already too late to say so much now, and given Uchiha Feiyu's personality, he didn't have any Will of Fire or such nonsense; even if he really became Hokage, he would likely view the entire Konoha as his own property.
Even Tsunade herself vaguely knew in her heart that Uchiha Feiyu was not a good person to begin with; trying to change him through acquired education was extremely difficult, almost impossible.
However, just thinking that it was because of her teacher's foolish actions that the bond between Konoha and Uchiha Feiyu was completely severed made Tsunade unable to help but feel a bit irritable.
"Alright, Tsunade, I know that I, as Hokage, didn't win much popular support later on, but no matter what, I can be considered your teacher, and the position of Hokage is already Minato's now."
A bitter smile appeared on the Third Hokage's face; he was very clear that none of his three students held him in high regard, even Jiraiya, who was slightly better, had some dissatisfaction with Konoha, not to mention Tsunade, who had been drifting outside.
"Passing the position of Hokage to Minato is the most correct decision you've made in all these years."
Tsunade said indifferently, but after finishing, she lowered her head slightly, appearing somewhat distracted.
Minato is indeed the most perfect Hokage for Konoha today... it is just a pity that after today, Konoha will lose this Hokage.
