Chapter 308: Visiting Baozu Mountain, Heading to the Crane School

~13 min read 2,491 words

"So this is Baozu Mountain!"

Looking at the deep, ancient forest before him, Uchiha Feiyu took a long, deep breath of the incomparably fresh air. It had to be said, while other aspects of the Dragon Ball World were nothing special, their environmental protection was actually quite good.

Perhaps it was because the Dragon Ball World was home to all sorts of strange and bizarre life—beast-men, three-eyed people, dinosaur-men, werewolves, and other such chaotic creatures, all mixed together like a hodgepodge—that the environment remained so pristine. If you dared to destroy the environment, a dinosaur-man or a tiger-man might just jump out of the woods and swallow you whole.

Take Baozu Mountain here, for example; if you really dared to carry out large-scale destruction, you would be severely taught a lesson by the Saiyans, the strongest fighting race in the universe.

Walking slowly into the deep, ancient forest, Uchiha Feiyu wandered around for a bit and soon spotted a house on a small hillside, hidden by the trees.

"Is no one home? Could they have gone out hunting?"

Uchiha Feiyu looked at the empty house and did not find the figure of young Goku here.

However, he only waited a few minutes, glancing at the Four-Star Dragon Ball enshrined on the table, before hearing heavy footsteps in the distance a moment later.

A giant black bear was lying on its side, crashing through many small branches and shrubs as it moved toward the house. Only when it completely emerged from the jungle could one see the figure of a small child beneath the black bear.

"Huh!? Who are you?!"

The small figure looked at Uchiha Feiyu standing in front of the door, reached out to toss the giant bear into the courtyard, and looked at him with a face full of curiosity and caution.

Uchiha Feiyu turned back to look at the young boy before him—the protagonist of Seven Dragon Balls, Son Goku—and a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth: "What a terrifying body indeed. Although the energy within is still lacking compared to those battle-hardened Martial Artists, the raw physical strength alone is probably enough to beat an ordinary Martial Artist to death."

In the official guidebook, Son Goku, having just met Bulma, actually only had a Power Level of ten. Yet, even with such a weak Power Level, he was already able to ignore Bulma's gunfire, feeling at most a little pain.

This was clearly not the normal performance of a Power Level of ten; it could only be said to be the talent of a Saiyan. Their physical bodies were essentially much stronger than those of humans, and whether in terms of defense or strength, they far surpassed ordinary humans even without the use of Qi.

Of course, compared to Uchiha Feiyu, young Goku's physical fitness was still far inferior. After all, a collective is a collective, and an individual is an individual; a human body representing the limits of an individual was still a bit stronger than the average Saiyan.

In fact, while there was a certain difference between humans and Saiyans, it was absolutely not to the extent of being worlds apart. The reason Saiyans were so much stronger than ordinary people in the original work was largely due to the two great trump cards they possessed: the near-death power-up and the Super Saiyan form.

Otherwise, although Earthlings could not compare to Saiyans, they could barely manage to see the exhaust fumes of a Saiyan.

Young Goku looked at Uchiha Feiyu with bright, piercing eyes. Although he did not yet have the ability to sense Qi, he could still feel the immense pressure radiating from Uchiha Feiyu. He lowered his center of gravity and pulled out the Power Pole from his back.

However, Uchiha Feiyu merely waved his hand, and young Goku suddenly felt his body go stiff, as if he were being pressed down by an invisible giant hand.

"What's going on! Why can't I move? What did you do?"

After struggling twice and feeling that his body still could not move, young Goku was full of panic. Uchiha Feiyu chuckled: "Don't worry, I have no ill intentions; I'm just here to borrow two things from you!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Uchiha Feiyu arrived behind young Goku, reached out and waved his hand at his tail, and a severed piece of the tail fell into his hand.

"Saiyan genes, acquired!"

After cutting off young Goku's tail, Uchiha Feiyu did not do anything else and left directly.

As for young Goku, although he was very angry, after suddenly losing his tail, he had to spend some time adjusting his body and center of gravity. He would often trip on flat ground while walking, let alone chase after Uchiha Feiyu.

However, Uchiha Feiyu did not leave Baozu Mountain immediately; instead, following the intelligence provided by the Ninja Sergeant Major, he arrived at a sinkhole not far from Baozu Mountain.

"It's really here... young Goku's Spaceship!"

At the very bottom of the sinkhole, there was a round, meteorite-like object covered in dust and moss. If an ordinary person saw it, they would probably think it was a meteorite that had fallen from the sky! At most, they would think this meteorite was very perfectly round.

In reality, it could indeed be called a meteorite that fell from the sky, except this meteorite was a Spaceship. Uchiha Feiyu walked into the sinkhole and patted it twice. With a *crack-crack* sound, the stones and moss on the outside of the meteorite fell off, revealing the small Spaceship inside, which looked like a life pod.

Although this type of small Spaceship was very simple, it was small but complete, and all kinds of functions were fully equipped.

Moreover, Uchiha Feiyu was very lucky to find a Battle Power Detector that looked like a monocle inside the life-pod-style Spaceship, which made him quite excited. It was just that this Battle Power Detector had already run out of energy and could not be used for the time being.

After that, Uchiha Feiyu took out a Universal Capsule. After opening it, it turned into a small warehouse, and he put the life-pod-style Spaceship inside, returning it to the shape of a Capsule.

At this point, the benefits of Baozu Mountain had been taken by him. Before he left, he instructed his subordinates to continue monitoring Baozu Mountain, especially the monitoring of young Goku, before he finally left the place.

Compared to Master Roshi, who lived in seclusion on a small island and ignored worldly affairs, the Crane Hermit was much more high-profile, having opened a martial arts gym directly in a town.

Of course, saying it was high-profile... it wasn't that high-profile; that town was quite remote and located in the deep, ancient forest, which was also the reason why the Crane School was not known to the whole world.

Compared to Master Roshi, the Crane Hermit was certainly not a good person, but to say he was truly evil was also not quite right. At least, although this guy had a side that bullied the weak and was greedy and cruel, he still had some of the bearing of a Martial Artist; he had never done anything to oppress the common people, nor had he implicated ordinary people.

This point was the same for Tao Pai Pai. Although he was known as the world's number one assassin, it cost 100 million to kill someone. A careful thought would reveal that there wouldn't be many people hiring him. It could be said that the Crane Hermit and Tao Pai Pai were absolutely, definitely bad guys, but they were not destructive to human society.

This was also the reason why human society still did not have a full understanding of the power of Martial Artists today.

Looking at the martial arts gym with the three large characters "Crane School" written on it, Uchiha Feiyu stroked his chin: "Come to think of it, although the Crane Hermit is greedy and loves money, in reality, he has always followed a low-key style of conduct..."

With the Crane Hermit's strength, if he really wanted money, as long as he showed off a little in front of people, someone would definitely offer it up directly. But in reality, among the Crane Hermit's disciples, the famous ones were only Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu; no matter how you thought about it, the number could not be too large.

"Tsk... not evil enough!"

Uchiha Feiyu finally evaluated him. Honestly, if a normal person possessed the strength of the Crane Hermit, they would likely turn into a tyrant immediately. The fact that the Crane Hermit could still abide by some ancient martial arts rules was already considered self-disciplined enough.

He knocked on the gate of the martial arts gym twice. A moment later, the gate opened. However, what surprised Uchiha Feiyu a little was that the person who opened the door was a girl wearing a cheongsam with two large braids. This little girl, who looked to be only thirteen or fourteen, opened the door, glanced at Uchiha Feiyu, and asked impatiently: "Who is it!? Knocking on the door so early in the morning!"

Uchiha Feiyu glanced at this young girl and then looked up at the Crane School sign:

"Are you a disciple of the Crane School? There are actually girls in the Crane School?"

"So what if I'm a girl? Did a girl eat your family's rice!"

The young girl glared, a look of anger appearing on her face as she clenched her fists:

"How dare you look down on girls, watch out or I'll beat you up!"

Curling his lips, Uchiha Feiyu didn't care about the little girl's words: "It seems you are indeed a disciple of the Crane School. Go announce me! I'm here to learn the arts at the Crane School!"

"So you're here to learn the arts at our Crane School, then why don't you call me Senior Sister!"

The little girl held her head high and puffed out her chest, her nose almost pointing to the sky, with a look of triumph on her face. Facing this little girl who was getting a bit carried away, Uchiha Feiyu speechlessly extended a finger and flicked it lightly on her forehead.

"Ouch!"

The little girl let out a cry of surprise and flew backward, *Boom—*, crashing through the wall of the room behind her.

Following that, a chaotic sound came from the Crane School gym:

"Yurin! Yurin, what's wrong? Are you hurt?"

"Is someone attacking? Could it be someone here to challenge the gym?!"

Amidst these panicked sounds, Uchiha Feiyu walked slowly through the large hole that Yurin had crashed through.

Inside the gym, a fifteen or sixteen-year-old three-eyed youth and a child of eight or nine years old, who was floating in mid-air and looked strange like a zombie, were surrounding the girl, asking anxiously.

However, the girl named Yurin was not hurt. Uchiha Feiyu's flick had only used the force of "striking across the mountain to hit the cow," so Yurin was dizzy for a moment but soon regained consciousness.

"Damn it! It must be some guy who wants to challenge our dojo; to think he dared to lie to me!"

With a kip-up, Yurin stood up, wanting to walk out in a fit of rage, just in time to see Uchiha Feiyu walking in through the hole she had crashed through.

"Tien Shinhan, it's him, this is the guy who knocked me in. At first, this guy even said he wanted to come to the Crane School to learn martial arts, but then he suddenly attacked me..."

Uchiha Feiyu shook his head: "It wasn't a sudden attack on you; I just wanted to tell you that although I came to the Crane School to learn martial arts, I have no intention of taking the Crane Hermit as my master, so naturally, I won't be your junior fellow apprentice."

"Huh!?"

A look of confusion appeared on Yurin's face. Coming to the Crane School to learn martial arts but not taking the Crane Hermit as a master—what on earth is this guy talking about?

"In short, you're just here to cause trouble!"

Tien Shinhan stood out immediately and struck a pose:

"No matter what you are trying to do, if you dare to bully Yurin, I will make you pay today!"

"Oh?"

Uchiha Feiyu smiled slightly: "Make me pay? With just you? Even the Crane Hermit probably wouldn't dare to boast like that!"

"How dare you insult my teacher! Go to hell!!"

Tien Shinhan's figure flashed, appearing before Uchiha Feiyu like a ghost, and he threw a punch without hesitation, slamming it directly into Uchiha Feiyu's lower abdomen.

But the sensation of this punch was as if an ordinary person had hit steel. Tien Shinhan's expression changed, and he threw a flurry of punches without hesitation: lower abdomen, chest, ribs, throat, temples...

After a barrage of wild punches, Uchiha Feiyu remained unchanged, while Tien Shinhan only felt pain in his fists. Just then, Uchiha Feiyu suddenly reached out and grabbed his arms.

The current Uchiha Feiyu's strength was far greater than when he first arrived a few months ago. Even the Qi within his body had a Power Level of at least over 100, not to mention his extremely formidable physique. With Tien Shinhan's current Power Level, which he didn't even know if it reached 100, hitting him was no different from scratching an itch.

"Damn it... what kind of monster are you?"

Tien Shinhan pulled twice in succession but could not withdraw his fists from Uchiha Feiyu's grasp. Looking at Uchiha Feiyu, whose skin hadn't even turned red after his barrage of wild punches, he asked in shock and anger.

"Heh, calling an opponent you can't beat a monster—is your capacity as a person really that small?"

"Let go of Tien Shinhan!"

Accompanied by a childish voice, Chiaotzu, floating in mid-air, unleashed his psychic powers against Uchiha Feiyu. However, Uchiha Feiyu merely glanced at Chiaotzu, and a powerful telekinetic force manifested out of thin air, not only blocking Chiaotzu's psychic power but also sending him flying away.

"Chiaotzu!! You bastard!!"

Seeing Chiaotzu knocked away, Tien Shinhan was furious, the veins on his forehead bulging, and the strength in his hands surged wildly. Uchiha Feiyu could even feel the Qi inside him boiling, becoming several times more active than before. If observed with a power scouter, Tien Shinhan's Power Level would have increased by at least twenty percent.

The emotion of anger can tap into potential and temporarily increase Power Level; this is not just a specialty of the Saiyans, it's just that Saiyans increase the most, and they also retain the most after the anger subsides.

However, given the gap in strength between Uchiha Feiyu and Tien Shinhan, this temporarily increased strength due to anger had no great significance.
