Chapter 360: The Heart Itself Does Not Move, Power Can Subdue the Buddha!
"Excellent, excellent! Benefactor, what is your intent in coming here?"
The Buddha light was brilliant, and the Buddha statue, painted in gold, looked down from on high and spoke to Du En, "If you have come for that Light-Depriving Spirit Mother, are you not walking the evil path? Why not repent and convert to the righteous path at once!"
When it reached the end, it was the Buddhist Lion's Roar, shaking the heart and spirit, intending to perform a forced conversion!
"Convert!"
"Convert!"
"Convert to my Buddha!"
"Convert to me!"
There were bursts of Buddha sounds, circling Du En's ears, rising and falling, flickering and fading, lingering incessantly.
Yet he did not waver in the slightest, only silently raising his eyes to look, which actually made the Buddha feel a sense of alarm.
"Benefactor, what are you obsessed with?"
"Benefactor, you are attached to appearances!"
"My followers and I are all willing participants, each taking what they need; this is the proper principle!"
Startled, the Pure Light Buddha spoke thus, wishing to suppress the shock, dispel distracting thoughts, and calm the mind, which had quietly changed, revealing a hint of gravity and suspicion.
"According to your own words, then, it can also be a matter of mutual willingness, each taking what they need."
Du En finally spoke at this moment, causing the Buddha statue, which had been kind-faced and smiling, to gradually retract its smile and shift to a different expression, while his voice did not pause because of this: "I will take your life, and incidentally send you to the Western Heaven to reunite with all those Buddhas in the sky, rather than staying alone on a fake mountain—wouldn't that be wonderful?"
"Audacious!"
The Buddha revealed a wrathful, green-faced expression; the Buddha Land erupted with immeasurable radiance due to its fury, and the hells suddenly increased in temperature and heat due to its intent.
Without another word, it struck directly.
"You who defy the Dao and act perversely, you must be ferried through all suffering before you can attain my Ultimate Bliss!"
As the Buddha spoke, suffering was cast upon him.
This was the Tongue-Pulling and Hand-Severing.
Du En's expression did not change.
This was the Ink-Painting and Sawing.
Du En felt as if bathed in a spring breeze.
This was the Hammering and Grinding.
Du En remained completely unmoved.
This was the Fierce Fire Burning.
It was still the same; he remained unmoved.
The Buddha could not help but secretly shed a drop of cold sweat, no longer daring to underestimate him in the slightest; immediately, the Buddha Land and hells responded in unison, the scorching, obsessive delusions closing in to wrap around Du En, continuing to evolve and manifest.
This was the Great Screaming Hell! All around the person were scorching, wild fires; the sentient beings who fell there would naturally widen their eyes in terror, enduring the extreme pain while screaming and running wildly, but with no way out in any of the ten directions, their miserable, shrill cries from despair and pain were long and incessant.
"Is that all?"
Du En took a step, walking out of the ten directions; such suffering could not move his heart, and naturally, it could not bind him.
The Buddha's eyes changed because of this.
This was the Scorching Heat Hell!
Sentient beings who fell there would not only be roasted, burned, pierced, and severed, but would also have scorching molten iron and copper poured into their mouths; after burning and melting their throats, tongues, and internal organs, the molten liquid would mix with flesh and blood and flow out from the nine orifices of the body; furthermore, fire-forged iron halberds would pierce from bottom to top, running through the body, piercing the shoulders, and then more scorching red molten liquid would be poured into the wounds—the misery was extreme and too horrific to behold!
"Is that all?"
Du En took another step; the molten iron cooled, the liquid solidified, and the iron halberds turned to ash.
The heart itself does not move, and suffering becomes empty! The Buddha could not hide his shock, yet still forced himself to remain calm.
Such heretical perversity must fall into the Avici Hell! Skipping the Great Scorching Heat, he went directly to the Avici!
The Avici is that which has no interval, no cessation; all manner of pain and various tortures are applied at every moment, imposed from every aspect of body, mind, spirit, and consciousness!
"Is that all?"
Du En asked again.
The Buddha stood up in shock, his horror no longer containable.
How could such a person exist in the world?
Could it be that there truly is a Buddha in the world?
No! Impossible! "You perverse one! You shall receive the true Avici!"
The Buddha, shocked, angry, and secretly afraid, unleashed a supreme Great Dharma.
That which is called Avici—'A' means no, 'vici' means interval—it is the realm of no time, no space, and immeasurable karmic retribution!
One thousand births in a day, one thousand deaths in a day, without interruption, sinking forever!
Therefore, starting from the five senses of consciousness, spreading to the mind, reaching deep into the Manas consciousness, there is infinite darkness covering it all, as if dead, yet like the living; between this cycle of life and death, there is naturally infinite terror, lingering at all times, repeating in a cycle—this is the greatest suffering! "Once the suffering is ferried through, you shall be reborn in Pure Light; the cycle of reincarnation never ends, and all shall be as I wish!"
"You who have fallen into Avici, do you still not understand? Are you still obsessed? Put it down quickly, ascend early to the bliss of the next life; this is the Reborn Pure Light!"
"Evil obstacle! Wake up at once!!!!!"
The Buddha stood up in shock and intimidation, his voice and expression severe, shaking the hearts of men.
Yet it could not shake Du En's heart.
He was in the midst of endless life and death, the great terror without interruption; from his Manas consciousness to the five senses of his physical shell, all were covered by darkness.
Thus, he raised his head, he took a step, his eyes burning bright, radiance born of itself!
If there is no light in that darkness, I am the only light!
What is the Radiant One? It is light!
The brilliance tore apart the falsehood, and in his eyes, there was only truth; this emptiness like a still heart only terrified the Buddha into falling back into his seat, completely unable to understand, fundamentally unable to comprehend.
"It looks like you've finished your performance; it was nothing but tricks that look impressive but lack substance. So, next, it's my turn."
Du En was still taking steps.
The earth began to respond; his figure floated and rose high, Dharma power surged out, the soil churned and moved, wrapping, solidifying, changing, and taking strong shape, all in one go.
Dao technique, Giant Spirit Dharma Image! Boom! A thousand-zhang pitch-black giant statue, with profound might pressing down, stood tall between heaven and earth; under its trampling, space shattered, and the Buddha Land collapsed!
Its eyes were scorching and bright, yet calm; around the thousand-zhang body, there was an exaggerated amount of Dharma power, rising like flames, causing the high dome of Buddha light to lose its color and begin to sink rapidly.
The sky shattered, the earth collapsed.
Just as the Buddha had said just now, what kind of heterodox giant monster was this? It was truly like a pitch-black world-destroying demon god, at this moment clenching its own fist, as if burning Dharma power burst out with brilliant, dreamlike radiance, breaking space directly with one punch, arriving straight in front of the Buddha, and smashing onto its body.
Bang! The high-mountain Buddha flew out spinning, and the next moment, a heavy foot stomped down fiercely again, hitting it hard and sinking it into the ground.
"Ah!!!"
"Great rebellion!"
"Great uh..." The Buddha that scrambled out was covered in cracks, its Dharma image already beginning to shatter, and just as it was about to be furious, it saw that at the edge of its Spirit Mountain stood that giant statue like a demon god, using its own hand to uproot this foundation of the Buddha Land, the root of pure light, as if pulling up a block of tofu.
Then, smash!
Clang~ The Buddha was like a ball, being constantly swung and hit by the Spirit Mountain, flying back and forth in the air, its body becoming increasingly dim, its Dharma image in imminent danger.
However, before the golden Buddha statue shattered, the Spirit Mountain shattered a step earlier.
"Sure enough, it looks good but is useless, don't you think?"
From the mouth of the giant statue came Du En's calm words, which terrified the Buddha into speechlessness.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Dropping the Spirit Mountain, trampling it to dust, he approached step by step, his fierce might overwhelming, covering the Buddha completely.
"Ahhh! Watch me use reincarnation to purify the Buddha light!"
This Reincarnation Pure Light Buddha, in extreme shock at this moment, brought out its trump card technique.
For a time, the Buddha light shone brightly again, as if a cycle existed within it, capable of purifying the bodies and spirits of all living beings, extinguishing all light that went against itself...
"Flashy and useless."
Slap! The giant fist directly shattered the Buddha light and imprinted itself on the Buddha statue once again.
Bang! This so-called Reincarnation Pure Light Buddha, at this point, had its golden Dharma image completely shattered, revealing the old, rotten scoundrel inside like a crawling insect, full of filth.
Du En looked down, and the scoundrel wept bitterly, opening its mouth to beg for mercy: "Spare my life! Spare my life! Spare my life! I am a living person from the Central Camp, I have always admired the radiance of the Spirit Mother, I am willing to submit! I am willing to submit and surrender!"
In the end, it begged for mercy.
Seeing the pause here, it immediately revealed hope; in order to escape and survive, it had to be extremely humble.
That such a person could actually become a Spirit Transformation expert truly lowered the standard of the Spirit Transformation stage out of thin air! Moreover.
"When did I ever say I was from the Light-Rejecting Sect?"
"What?"
The scoundrel was stunned, its hope was snuffed out, and fear and despair became even more intense.
Finally, watching a giant fist slowly descend, as if falling into the Avici Hell itself, its terror was endless, its might and punishment permeated every inch, soaking in from body, heart, spirit, and will, until finally, with the great terror of true death, it turned it into powder and fly ash!
While it was satisfying, he did not forget to reach out his other giant hand, fiercely grabbing something out of thin air, tearing and squeezing; the fulcrum of space, as well as the tentacles that had been spreading silently, were all torn to shreds and shattered, likewise turning into dust.
"Sure enough, there is this kind of situation, borrowing a knife to kill, and harvesting the fruit along the way."
Du En had long sensed that the enemy might be using him to remove existing hidden threats, while simultaneously attempting to seize the power of these unstable factors, or rather, the mature fruits, for their own use.
As for the Blue-Blooded Alien Demon earlier, the reason there was no such situation might be that they didn't expect his movements to be so fast, and the Spirit Mother had not yet recovered to a certain degree, hence they were unable to take action.
"The only thing True Monarch Regret-Emotion didn't expect was probably that the Spirit Mother was too weak, or rather, the remaining shell was too poor, actually letting me cause such heavy damage... No, it should be said that it added a portion of nutrients, causing its metamorphosis to accelerate by a sliver."
Zheng Xing, the person who scouted ahead, was likely not considered by True Monarch Regret-Emotion; even if she noticed it later and wanted to correct it, she had already been entangled by Meng Changqing, making it difficult to do so.
Finally, it was that she didn't expect Du En's strength to improve so significantly, which was why the error of the current degree appeared.
"But that is only the case; she will clearly leave enough margin, so I still cannot be careless next... After returning to the Central Camp, I will see the state of the Spirit Mother, and then see if I can catch that Luo Heng."
As Du En thought this and made his decision, the surface space here, which had already had its boundaries broken and been ravaged by the giant statue, had now completely collapsed and was entirely pulverized, with faint signs of annihilation.
He scanned his surroundings, raised his hand to grab, and then, wading through the spatial debris flow, stepped toward the intact area.
At the end of the western main tunnel, the converts and Buddha-worshippers who were still gathering were all stunned and terrified at this moment, looking at the terrifying, incomparable spatial debris flow in front of them, where both light and darkness had vanished but were highlighted immensely.
They did not know why this was the situation when they arrived here.
Where was the Buddha Land? Where was the Spirit Mountain? Where was the salvation? In their stupor, they were all dumbfounded, not knowing what to say for a moment.
Not until a bit of profound color appeared, and a terrifying giant statue waded through the flow, as if it had existed since the creation of the world; it truly terrified these short-sighted, devout believers so much that they knelt and converted on the spot.
"Terrifying and incomparable Profound Armor God!"
"True Supreme Buddha who breaks the darkness!"
"Please, break this hopeless underground!"
Listening to these clichéd, repetitive praises, Du En could not help but shake his head inwardly, then dispelled his Dao technique, disappeared quietly, and left this place with the small stone statue properly protected.
The converts and image-worshippers kowtowed for a long while, and not waiting for any divine oracle, they immediately gathered the courage to look up, but the figure of the terrifying giant statue was already gone.
Even the spatial debris flow, after the guy who had been stirring and ravaging it left, quickly returned to calm under the overall obstruction of this actually very stable underground space, without developing in the direction of annihilation.
People's hearts felt empty, only feeling that the future was still dim and without light, and they could not help but feel miserable and desperate, with sounds of mourning everywhere.
"Eh? Who are these people?!"
At this time, someone discovered that among them, a group of people had appeared.
They were all survivors from the Buddha Land.
Among them were quite a few who were actually acquaintances, or even family members, of these latecomers.
The crowd looked at each other in dismay.
"What exactly is going on?"
"Did the Buddhas fight among themselves?"
"Did the Great War of Gods and Buddhas destroy the Buddha Land Pure Sect?"
"Hiss! You say, could this be the decree of the True God Buddha?"
Suddenly, someone had a flash of inspiration, their mind opened up, and into their empty heart, they injected another dose of a stimulant; at this moment, they were very lively, as if aided by a god.
"The gods and Buddhas are fighting, destroying the Buddhist teachings? No, no, no, it is our piety that has finally moved the Western Heaven Spirit Mountain, and thus the True Buddha has manifested the Dharma Image of the Wisdom King to destroy the false bodies; they are here in this world to save us from the sea of suffering!"
If one can enjoy blessings in this lifetime, then of course it should be in this lifetime! In an instant, this rhetoric struck their true heart's desire, and they immediately voiced their agreement one after another.
It must be like this! In such an atmosphere, the survivors who arrived later or woke up were all fooled and infected, pinning their hopes on this situation that could be called shooting at a phantom target.
When all is said and done, the Pure Light Sect has already been destroyed, and no matter how unwilling they are to believe it, it can only be so.
Of course, in the future, after they come to their senses, there will still be people who continue to superstitiously believe in the heretical doctrine of eliminating karma through suffering.
Unless someone casts a specialized spell to give them a thorough brainwashing.
As for now, of course, it is time to temporarily return to their respective homes.
And so, those who had converted to Buddhism began to disperse and return.
The matters here could be considered to have come to a temporary end.
As for Du En, he first searched the surrounding area and, finding no trace of Chang Lingfeng, he no longer delayed and headed straight for the central camp under the rule of the Reject Light Sect.
Moving at high speed, it took him only a very short time to arrive here once again.
Similar to the scene before he left, the central camp was as prosperous and bright as ever, and compared to the living conditions of those outer edge camps, it could be said to be like heaven and earth, just like two different worlds.
People walked with high spirits, occasionally adding a "The Sect Leader is wise," or interjecting a "The Spirit Mother is great," completely unaware of what had happened in the distance, appearing quite carefree, which stood in stark contrast to the desperate converts seen not long ago.
Du En stopped his steps, standing in the light, yet no one noticed him, and he observed silently.
Very quickly, he observed that people's words and moods actually had a subtle change compared to before.
