Chapter 90: Author's Note on Going Live
As the title says, the book goes live tomorrow at noon.
No need for many words; I will post more that day, preparing ten chapters, which is about 22,000 words.
The 10,000 words per day mentioned in the comments before will also officially begin.
I ask everyone for your support and subscriptions!
Also, because scheduled releases are a bit troublesome after switching to 10,000 words a day, subsequent update times will be moved to noon.
Regarding the subsequent development of the plot, it will proceed along the anchor points of cultivation technique stages and cultivation base stages, alternating between the two for upgrades.
Each major realm will have between 100 and 150 chapters of content; chapters are based on 2,000 words each, so that is 200,000 to 300,000 words.
Calculating this way, there are nine major realms from Qi Refining to becoming an immortal; the final Tribulation Transcendence stage is a bit special in the outline and settings, so it might be compressed into the Great Vehicle stage.
At present, I have already written up to the late Foundation Establishment content; I feel the overall framework has not collapsed, and I still have over 100,000 words in my stockpile.
Since there is quite a lot, it seems I can do some rewards.
Let's do this.
For every 500 average subscriptions, I will add 10,000 words.
That makes eight and a half major realms, so the expected total word count for the completed book is between 1.7 million and 2.5 million words.
The 300 monthly votes requirement actually has a lot of fluff; as long as I, the author, update normally, I get 180 monthly votes every month, so the remainder is only 120.
For every 300 monthly votes, I will add 10,000 words.
Then there are other important reasons, which lead to the current outline ending when the protagonist Du En becomes an immortal and attains the Dao.
The total word count might be higher, as there is a possibility of expanding into the Immortal World, but it is hard to say for sure because the Immortal World and immortals in this book's worldview are actually quite abstract in their settings; forcing them into the tropes of a progression novel—changing maps to fight monsters and level up—feels very strange to me personally.
But an outline is just an outline after all; I cannot fully guarantee what it will be like when I actually write to the end, I can only say that I will finish this book this year.
Finally.
The reason for not offering bonus chapters for tips is simple: the performance is truly ugly, and I will use a secondary account to tip and operate for a while to see if I can turn things around with the smart recommendation system.
That is basically what I wanted to say.
Earning the perfect attendance bonus is my goal for starting this book, so everyone please try not to let the book sit unread, and give some subscriptions to push the average to 500.
Everyone come support, and the author will write the book!
Please subscribe!
