Chapter 753 - 33 On the Moon
The Ark ship crash-landed on the Moon, severely damaging its structure.
Humans have hidden many things, even to the extent that their own measures for secrecy and subsequent personnel changes left them unaware of what was here:
The work concerning extraterrestrials was handled by an organization called "Zone 7," but this agency wasn’t part of the government sequence, reporting only directly to the President who established it. It was only two years ago, when Transformers began to appear, that the President became aware of its existence.
But after the great battle two years ago, Zone 7 was dissolved, and many files were sealed away. The intelligence personnel who received them didn’t know where to start organizing the information.
This led to a significant oversight, as the Autobots were unaware that there was another ship that had landed here long ago.
Sentinel Prime landed on the Moon much like Megatron crash-landing in the Arctic: long-distance travel combined with the destruction of life-support systems, forcing them to rely only on their spark source to withstand environmental changes.
The persistent low temperatures would compel them into hibernation; the temperatures in both the Arctic and the Moon’s dark side are unimaginably low. Megatron was trapped by ice, while Sentinel Prime hid in an escape pod, directly entering hibernation.
Though Sentinel Prime was both the mentor and teacher of Optimus Prime, his mindset had actually changed in the later stages of the Cybertron civil war:
At the end of the civil war, before he left Cybertron with Space Bridge Technology, he had already reached an agreement with Megatron...
He would no longer adhere to the ancient vows, those inherited from the Primordial Transformers, specifically the vow not to destroy planets with life.
In "Transformers 3," Sentinel Prime had been lying low for a long time, and while everyone relaxed their vigilance, thinking the Decepticons intended to control him that way and thereby control the Space Bridge, he suddenly turned against them and ambushed several Autobots.
Optimus Prime was still puzzled when he killed Sentinel Prime, wondering how his teacher could have turned into this state.
But Lille knew the reason was quite mundane:
Sentinel Prime had once developed the Space Bridge, temporarily ending the Cybertron civil war, but when the planet was once again divided into new factions, Decepticons and Autobots, he realized reconciliation was impossible; unable to win, it was better to join a side.
But which side to join?
The Decepticons all stemming from Cybertron’s defense forces, carried sophisticated and powerful weapons and armor, with most spark sources allocated to their weapon systems;
On the other hand, the Autobots were mostly workers and researchers, with most spark sources used to support their research and work...
When you have a gun, do you still need to do it yourself?
Truth is the cannon; rather than continue a civil war they can’t win, it’s better to join, acknowledge the Decepticons, abandon vows, and save Cybertron the fastest way.
So when the Autobot and Decepticon civil war entered its final stage, Optimus Prime assumed his teacher fled with powerful technology, partly to prevent the Decepticons from getting such tech and spreading seeds of brutality across the universe while seeking new solutions.
But in reality, Sentinel Prime had already agreed with Megatron: he wanted to find any suitable star and use Space Bridge Technology to bring Cybertron and the star closer again...
Solving the energy problem, reigniting their homeland, solidifying control.
[Johnny: So this Sentinel Prime...is a bastard, he betrayed Optimus Prime, betrayed himself...]
[Lille: Optimus Prime would never believe my words, unless stabbed by Sentinel Prime, I don’t have time to watch this betrayal drama.]
[Johnny: Don’t say you don’t believe it, even I don’t... Does such a person really exist?]
[Lille: Do you feel embarrassed asking that yourself?]
A three-meter-tall engineering robot pried open Cybertron wreckage, dragging a massive toolbox all the way to the bottom of the Ark.
There used to be hundreds of Energy Pillars here; most have been hauled away by the Decepticons. Megatron initially planned to wake Sentinel Prime after retrieving the Magic Cube, but the Cube was gone.
Without the Cube, Fallen Decepticon pointed out there was still an energy harvesting device on Earth, reigniting his hope, leading to the current situation.
Decepticons and Autobots had no time to focus on the Moon’s matters.
Sentinel Prime lay in the escape capsule, this gigantic Transformer having an extremely lifelike face, even with flowing metallic whiskers.
His head armor and markings bear a resemblance to Optimus Prime, with body structure and height also very close.
The Spark Energy receded entirely into the core, lacking energy for self-maintenance, with metal covered in a white film, appearing corroded.
Lille detected no spark radiation from Sentinel Prime.
[Johnny: He’s dead.]
A dead Transformer could only be revived using the Magic Cube or Leader Module, containing vast energy and information.
However, those in hibernation might not be: two years ago, Megatron’s spark core was melted by Sam using a Magic Cube Fragment, rendering most body functions inactive, the core gone, nearly equivalent to death, then thrown into the abyss by humans.
Yet the Decepticons managed to snatch a small Magic Cube Fragment from a human military base: really just a tiny shard, similar in size to the one Lille absorbed.
Just that small fragment touching Megatron, plus the remains of an unfortunate Decepticon, reactivated him.
Sentinel Prime’s condition was definitely much better than Megatron’s at the time, Lille believed the wreckage he brought had enough energy to wake parts of Sentinel Prime’s functionality...
Under Lille’s control, the engineering robot deployed a large batch of restraints for Sentinel Prime, and the energy transport device for extracting residual spark energy from the wreckage.
After completion, the robot leapt onto Sentinel Prime’s chest, transforming directly into a small, fine-tuned probe, piercing Sentinel Prime’s chest.
"Let’s see what’s left inside your body..."
Boom—
The energy transport pipeline lit up, a powerful force pouring into Sentinel Prime’s spark core!
[Johnny: Feels like jump-starting a car with a dead battery...]
[Johnny: Once the car starts, you don’t worry about a dead battery; you’re sure we can manage this big guy?]
[Lille: That’s because a car’s electric appliances don’t consume much...]
As Lille finished speaking, the engineering robot’s chest suddenly opened—
He jumped out from inside.
Johnny froze for a moment:
[Johnny: Damn, how are you on the Moon!]
"It’s us... on the Moon."
The Lille on Earth was merely a shell sharing a portion of his energy...
The real him was here, and he had even concealed it from Johnny, doing it all while disabling his access permissions!
The ark reactor on his chest fully opened, power conduit lines bridged to his body from the energy transport device!
The Vibranium-forged ark reactor devoured the leader who inherited the Power of Primordial King Kong like a bottomless pit, extracting high-quality spark energy from him.
Though Sentinel Prime’s spark reignited, the cold and energy leaks continued to erode his core—
He was like a battery constantly discharging, unable to power up his entire body, with only his brain regaining partial activity...
It felt like sleep paralysis!
[Sentinel Prime, we need you to transfer technology to move the sun and ignite Cybertron.]
[Tell me the technical details.]
