Let me state the results first: counting the chapters I'm about to post, May saw an update of 440,000 characters!

The daily average is close to fifteen thousand.

Now let's tally the owed updates: 3 chapters for Alliance Masters, 11 chapters for monthly tickets, 2 base owed updates — total 16 owed? Seems about right.

Actually, according to the update plan set when the book went on sale at the start of the month, the target was 8,000–12,000 characters per day. By the lowest standard, all those owed updates have already been paid off.

But if I count it that way, you guys definitely won't agree.

So those 16 owed chapters will be carried over to June.

As everyone knows, explosive updates can't last long — otherwise it's easy to burn out this month and have no next month. Plus a book with this kind of complex setting isn't as easy to write as those old brainless power-leveling emotional-flow stories; the author really can't speed up.

A whole day really is nothing but eating, sleeping, and typing. A lot of the time, to let everyone enjoy the read, I grit my teeth and push out updates — an infernal schedule…

To keep the flow going long-term, I'm adjusting June's update plan.

June: guaranteed 8,000 characters, two chapters daily.

June's guaranteed update count: 240,000 characters.

Counting the 16 owed chapters from May (my god, 440,000 characters updated in May and still 16 owed — my head spins just thinking about it), I'll still keep up three-chapter days of 12,000 characters for 16 days.

Alliance Master tip bonuses still apply.

Monthly ticket bonuses — I'll raise the threshold a bit. Mainly because you brothers are too fierce. At the start of May I set a 3,000-ticket bonus, and I never imagined I'd have to add that many extra chapters.

Let's just bump it to 4,000 tickets per bonus chapter. Otherwise I can never reach that bonus threshold, and it'd be pointless if you brothers can't cash in on that pie, right? So I won't draw the pie any bigger — I'll aim to actually reach it.

Based on May's voting, as long as June matches May, I can add another 10 bonus chapters. Combined with the 16 owed, that means in June I might still have to do three-chapter days of 12,000 characters every day!

Also, a progress report: current average subscription is 15,000, and 24-hour follow subscriptions are close to 10,000. Thanks for the support, brothers.
