My grandmother was hospitalized, and from the afternoon onward I've been running up and down the hospital nonstop, only just now finally getting home.

The situation doesn't look too serious for now, but she's nearly eighty years old and needs someone at her bedside, and it happened so suddenly there wasn't time to hire a caretaker.

Captain's old man is working out of town, and his old lady just happened to go on a trip too, so today I have neither the energy nor the mind to write.
