Chapter 228: Chapter Six: The Time-Space Demon Lord
"What the two ancient nations can produce, the three alien races can also produce," whispered the Black Flame Demon Lord. "But the three alien races must transport them from other source worlds—at enormous cost! So what they bring are all extremely precious treasures… such as minor remains of Hunsour life, artifacts surpassing the Supreme Sovereign level, legacies beyond the Ultimate Realm, corpses of Hunsour bloodline creatures with Ultimate Realm power, and even refined 'Ultimate Realm' Hunsour bloodlines!"
"Weaker items, like the corpses of Second Layer Supreme Sovereign Hunsour bloodlines, are too low in value to bother bringing," whispered the Black Flame Demon Lord.
Luo Feng understood.
With such high transportation costs, they naturally bring only the most valuable items.
"Those three alien races have many treasures—but only if you offer equal exchange," said the Black Flame Demon Lord. "Their tastes are refined; only treasures originating from Yuan's legacy sites can truly attract them."
"Your avatar alone can match the Dark Sovereign of the Destruction Legion. I'm certain the three alien races will take notice of you—and in the near future, they will all contact you one by one."
"In the Origin Continent, their power is completely suppressed. So ultimately, they need our help—they need us to find treasures," said the Black Flame Demon Lord, looking at Luo Feng. "You're powerful, and you have many avatars—you're the perfect candidate for treasure hunting. They'll definitely contact you."
Luo Feng nodded slightly.
"When the time comes, haggle hard. Compare offers from all three. See who gives you the better deal," the Black Flame Demon Lord chuckled. "With alien races, don't care about face—only care about who gives you the most!"
This gathering at the Wheelhouse Pavilion had broadened Luo Feng's horizons.
Though his power had grown strong, his knowledge was still lacking. The Black Flame Demon Lord commanded the largest resistance force in the Thunder Ancient Nation, rooted for endless eons—he possessed far more intelligence and information.
…
Night.
In Hu Yangcheng, a middle-aged man dressed casually stepped into the Governor's Mansion. The mansion's arrays and Luo Feng's world force seemed like a joke—unable to stop him in the slightest.
"Hmm?" On a pavilion in the Governor's Mansion, Luo Feng appeared out of thin air, gazing at the middle-aged man.
"I can see him clearly, yet the arrays and world force cannot block him at all," Luo Feng sensed the immense gap in realm.
The middle-aged man smiled warmly, took a step—and was already atop the pavilion.
"The Time-Space Demon Lord," Luo Feng recognized him.
The Time-Space Demon Lord founded the Time-Space Solitary Boat! He had multiple forms—child, middle-aged man, elder—while the Lord of the Two Realms and the Master of the Ten Thousand Methods maintained fixed appearances.
The Time-Space Demon Lord acted without scruples; both ancient nations feared him most.
The three alien races…
Luo Feng preferred dealing with the Master of the Ten Thousand Methods; the reputations of the other two were considerably worse.
"I've told your native cultivators on the Origin Continent many times—call me 'Time-Space Emperor.' Yet you insist on calling me Time-Space Demon Lord," said the middle-aged man with a smile. "But I don't hold it against you."
"Time-Space Demon Lord, why have you come to me?" Luo Feng asked, watching him.
"Good news. Great good news!"
The middle-aged man sat down leisurely, pulled out a wine flask and cups, and poured wine himself. "Come, come, have a drink. I brought fine wine from outside the Origin Continent."
Luo Feng sat down too—but did not drink.
"Such fine wine, yet you lack the courage to drink it," said the middle-aged man after taking a sip. "I know—you're a disciple of the Emperor of the Yan Feng Ancient Nation. You're naturally wary of us alien races."
"But there's no need! The three of us alien races are direct rivals of your two nations' founders—that's why they target us," said the Time-Space Demon Lord, staring at Luo Feng.
Luo Feng said nothing—only listened.
"I didn't come to ask you to join the Time-Space Solitary Boat," said the Time-Space Demon Lord with a smile. "I only wish to trade fairly with you."
"Oh?" Luo Feng looked at him. "What kind of trade?"
"There are only four types of treasures on the Origin Continent that interest me," said the Time-Space Demon Lord. "These are also the four treasures the other alien races and your two nations' founders care about."
Luo Feng listened.
"First: the secret techniques and methods left by Yuan," said the Time-Space Demon Lord, staring at Luo Feng.
"Just secret techniques and methods?" Luo Feng was surprised.
"The value of Great Dao legacies is higher, of course. But perfect-grade and top-grade legacies can at most reach the Supreme Sovereign Ultimate Realm. Nothing beyond that is obtainable," said the Time-Space Demon Lord. "Yet certain application techniques and powerful secret methods still circulate—provided they were left by Yuan himself, and surpass the Supreme Sovereign level."
Luo Feng understood.
The "Lie Yuan Technique" belonged to this category—it contained only application techniques, not Great Dao legacies.
"Secret techniques and methods are often found in Yuan's legacy sites—but usually cannot be transmitted outside," said the Time-Space Demon Lord, staring at Luo Feng. "I need ones I can receive and transmit."
"One secret technique or method can be exchanged for a full set of artifacts surpassing the Supreme Sovereign level. Exact value depends on the technique's quality," said the Time-Space Demon Lord.
"A full set?" Luo Feng said.
"Whatever you can imagine, I can equip you with!" said the Time-Space Demon Lord.
"Second: remains of special lifeforms," said the Time-Space Demon Lord. "On the entire Origin Continent, only the dark zones of the Dream Realm and the deepest depths of the Celestial Pillar Realm can yield such remains."
"Each fragment of such remains is worth at least a full set of artifacts surpassing the Supreme Sovereign level!"
"Of course, one secret technique or one fragment of special life remains can also be exchanged for other things you desire," said the Time-Space Demon Lord with a smile. "I could even trade you partial corpses of low-tier Hunsour lifeforms that have escaped the cage!" "Low-tier Hunsour lifeforms?" Luo Feng frowned.
"Hunsour lifeforms that escaped the cage still have tiers," said the Time-Space Demon Lord. "Low-tier Hunsour lifeforms… those with low intelligence, roughly equivalent to the True Gods of the Origin Continent. Their intelligence is too low to unlock their bloodline potential. Though born free of the cage, their combat power is less than mine."
"Third: innate artifacts."
"Ordinary artifacts don't interest me—I can easily forge artifacts surpassing the Supreme Sovereign level," said the Time-Space Demon Lord, staring at Luo Feng. "I seek artifacts naturally born in the depths of the Dream Realm, for they are mysteriously formed. The deepest reaches of the Celestial Pillar Realm also produce naturally born artifacts."
"Each innate artifact varies in value—some equal to artifacts surpassing the Supreme Sovereign level; the finest rival a fragment of special life remains."
"Fourth: rare treasures."
"Your Origin Continent's many legacy sites produce rare treasures worth over ten billion merits. I need those rare treasures worth over ten billion merits," said the Time-Space Demon Lord. "Same principle—equal exchange."
Luo Feng was startled.
The Tianhe, Dream Realm, Celestial Pillar Realm, and other legacy sites all produced rare treasures.
But a single rare treasure must be worth over ten billion merits! These were legendary treasures Luo Feng had never even seen. Any faction would spare no cost to obtain them.
"If you acquire any of these four treasures, you may trade them with me. The treasures I offer are all excellent," said the Time-Space Demon Lord with a smile. "You can also compare prices with the Master of the Ten Thousand Methods and the Lord of the Two Realms—see who offers you better terms."
!
"I never force trades," chuckled the Time-Space Demon Lord. "My techniques cannot break through the Chaos Realm's limit—I have no authority to compel you. It's your two nations' founders who might act! If you obtain something too precious, they may personally intervene and seize it outright."
Luo Feng nodded.
"Don't let the two ancient nations influence you to harbor excessive hostility toward us," said the Time-Space Demon Lord. "We are cultivators too—just from other source worlds."
"To be honest, I'm somewhat envious of you."
The Time-Space Demon Lord looked at Luo Feng. "Your source world has Yuan watching over it. Yuan even left you a teleportation passage. As long as you reach the level of an Ultimate Realm lifeform, you can withstand the passage's pressure and venture beyond to explore."
Teleportation passage? Only Ultimate Realm lifeforms could pass through?
"My home world is different."
"My home source world has no teleportation passage," sighed the Time-Space Demon Lord. "I endured three cycles of rebirth in my source world before I personally discovered the method to break through the boundary and send my avatar to other source worlds. Only by using their teleportation passages could I venture into wider realms."
"I've met your two nations' founders. They were lifelong friends, training and adventuring together. I even clashed with them—ha!"
"We all grope in darkness, constantly facing terrifying dangers," said the Time-Space Demon Lord, staring at Luo Feng. "One day, we might perish utterly."
The Time-Space Demon Lord looked at Luo Feng. "I came to the Origin Continent only to seek more opportunities, gain more power—to survive when danger strikes. Perhaps one day, when you leave the Origin Continent, we'll meet again. So there's truly no need to distinguish between native and alien."
"I understand," said Luo Feng, nodding.
"I have great faith in you," said the Time-Space Demon Lord. "With your potential, you will surely leave the Origin Continent—it's a far vaster world."
"If you wish to find me, use karmic telepathy," said the Time-Space Demon Lord. "Call out, and I'll arrive immediately."
Luo Feng nodded.
He indeed sensed a faint karmic thread connecting him to the Time-Space Demon Lord.
But the thread was too vague—he could use it to send a message, yet could not determine where it led.
The Time-Space Demon Lord took a step—and was already at the horizon, then vanished completely.
"Beyond the source world?" Luo Feng murmured. The Time-Space Demon Lord's home source world had no teleportation passage at all—differences between source worlds were immense.
…
Dream Realm.
Luo Feng had always maintained an avatar in the Dream Realm. Since his mental will broke through, his avatar there had begun absorbing energy at full capacity. The Dream Realm's environment was unique, its energy vast and easy to absorb—yet still slower than a Small Universe's supply.
Currently, the energy reserves of his Dream Realm avatar amounted to about five percent of his World Lifeform body's total.
"According to the Time-Space Demon Lord, the Dream Realm and Celestial Pillar Realm are the most special."
"Only these two places produce special life remains and innate artifacts," Luo Feng realized their uniqueness. "Special life remains exist only in the Dream Realm's dark zone. Only when one's mental will surpasses the Supreme Sovereign level can one barely enter the dark zone… the difficulty far exceeds that of the Celestial Pillar Realm."
The Dream Realm's environment was far harsher. Even its deep zones—many Sovereigns and Lords dared not enter, for fear of losing control.
In contrast, the Celestial Pillar Realm was far safer, allowing Sovereigns and Lords to operate more effectively.
Thus, they had sealed off the Celestial Pillar Realm entirely.
"I've never entered the Dream Realm's dark zone," Luo Feng thought, and immediately dispatched a weak avatar toward the Dream Realm's "dark zone."
The Dream Realm was divided into outer zone, middle zone, deep zone, and dark zone.
Origin Continent cultivators primarily searched for treasures in the middle zone.
Those who entered the deep zone were rare.
The dark zone? Even fewer dared enter.
