Chapter 268: Chapter Six: Reincarnation? Or Innate Potential?
Luo Feng’s Heavenly-Earth Avatar was a being at the early Divine Emperor realm, and during its fusion with the secret treasure “Palm Realm,” several of the most powerful entities on the Origin Continent could still glimpse fragments of the process.
A stranger at the early Divine Emperor realm? Such a powerful secret treasure?
Who else could it be but the Galactic Sovereign? It’s impossible for two early Divine Emperors to emerge consecutively on the Origin Continent.
“Hahaha, still couldn’t fool Brother Di Qing,” Luo Feng stood atop one of the five towering peaks formed by the furry giant claw, his true form now revealed, the mask gone.
Hu.
Di Qing arrived atop the same peak and laughed: “Such a powerful avatar, such a potent secret treasure—aside from my brother from the Galactic Realm, I can’t imagine who else it could be.”
“Is this a natural secret treasure?” Di Qing stood atop the peak, gazing at the colossal furry claw, astonished: “This natural secret treasure is invaluable—its worth in the Infinite Space Treasury might rival thirty to forty thousand reward points.”
Luo Feng nodded; after long study, he determined this natural secret treasure’s hidden patterns were slightly inferior to those of a Special Life Remnant, but it was still a secret treasure.
“Obtained from the Dream Realm?” Di Qing asked.
“Yes,” Luo Feng nodded. “In all my cultivation, this is the only natural secret treasure I’ve acquired.”
“I’ve cultivated longer than you, explored the Dream Realm and the Pillar Realm extensively—I’ve only obtained two natural secret treasures total,” Di Qing chuckled. “And judging by my standards, its value approaches that of a Special Life Remnant.”
Luo Feng smiled.
“This natural secret treasure—you don’t plan to take it out?” Di Qing looked at the scene: the vast Palm Realm, formed by the natural treasure, now shielded Hu Yang City.
Luo Feng nodded: “Not taking it out.”
“Hu Yang City is now the safest place on the entire Origin Continent,” Di Qing said. “Its severance of karmic ties is extreme—I can’t even sense anything within.”
With the Eye of Birth and Death, Luo Feng could perceive the karmic links between the inhabitants of the Palm Realm and those outside.
But no other method could penetrate it.
“Huhuhu.”
Two more figures arrived side by side: Yan Feng Ancestor and Lei Ting Ancestor.
“What a magnificent natural secret treasure,” Yan Feng Ancestor gazed at it. “It must be the claw of a high-grade Primordial Life, nurtured for eons within the body of a world-class Primordial Life in the Dream Realm—its value rivals that of a Special Life Remnant.”
“Yan Feng Ancestor, you can tell that?” Luo Feng was surprised.
“I’ve lived in this source world for several eras—I’ve seen many Special Life Remnants and natural secret treasures,” Yan Feng Ancestor chuckled. “I’ve also heard rumors beyond the source world. Naturally, I can deduce a bit.”
Lei Ting Ancestor stared at the furry claw and couldn’t help saying: “Galactic, are you planning to sell this natural secret treasure? I can get you a cultivation inheritance directly pointing to Semi-Primordial Enlightenment.”
“A Semi-Primordial Enlightenment inheritance?” Di Qing was startled—he knew that below Divine Emperor level, inheritances were common, but those reaching Semi-Primordial level were exceedingly rare and costly.
“Not selling,” Luo Feng shook his head.
“When you decide to sell, contact me anytime,” Lei Ting Ancestor said patiently—he’d lived too long to ignore the power of time. Over eons, cultivators often changed their minds; under environmental pressure, Luo He might one day offer the treasure himself.
Luo Feng looked toward the distance—Feng Xi, Ancestor of the Eastern Pole Region, had arrived.
“All the Divine Emperors of the Origin Continent have gathered here today,” Luo Feng smiled. “It’s an honor for me, Luo He.”
Luo Feng waved his hand.
A pavilion, tables, stools, fine wine, and fruit appeared instantly.
“Please, take your seats.”
Immediately, Luo Feng, the two National Ancestors, Di Qing, and the Eastern Pole Ancestor—five of the Origin Continent’s most powerful beings—took their seats.
“I’ve long wondered who the Galactic Sovereign truly was,” the Eastern Pole Ancestor chuckled. “I suspected Luo He—but he’s too young. I never dared believe it. Yet here he is.”
“Luo He,” Yan Feng Ancestor couldn’t help asking, “Are you a reincarnated being—or did you truly reach this realm in just over a thousand cycles?”
“Looking at the cultivation paths and secret techniques of past masters on the Origin Continent, none match Luo He—he’s not a reincarnated one,” the Eastern Pole Ancestor shook his head.
Lei Ting Ancestor chuckled: “Perhaps he’s a powerful being from another source world, reincarnated here.”
Yan Feng Ancestor and Lei Ting Ancestor both fixed their gazes on Luo Feng.
“A powerful being from another source world, reincarnated here?” Luo Feng was surprised. “Has that ever happened on the Origin Continent?”
From the Infinite Space Treasury, Luo Feng knew methods existed to reincarnate into other source worlds.
“Never on the Origin Continent,” Yan Feng Ancestor laughed. “But beyond the source world, we’ve heard many such tales!”
“If you’re not a reincarnated one…”
Lei Ting Ancestor couldn’t help saying, “Luo He, you entered the cycle of rebirth and arrived on the Origin Continent, first appearing in Hu Yang City roughly fifteen hundred cycles ago—and now you’ve reached this realm?”
“Such power in such a short time—truly terrifying,” Di Qing stared at Luo Feng in awe.
The two National Ancestors, Di Qing, and the Eastern Pole Ancestor all felt: if Luo He truly achieved this in so little time, his growth rate was monstrous. If he were a reincarnated elder from another source world, it would be understandable.
“Hahaha…” Luo Feng laughed loudly. “Just assume I’m a reincarnated one.”
He had no desire to explain or prove anything. “To achieve such mastery in so short a time—even across countless source worlds and billions of realms—he stands among the absolute pinnacle,” Yan Feng Ancestor and the others now subtly sensed that Luo He might truly have cultivated to this level in such a brief span.
This realization sent a chill through them.
This talent!
This potential!
…
On the Origin Continent, the Divine Lords, Sovereigns, and countless Divine Kings were all speculating about Hu Yang City—they all suspected one possibility.
Di Yan, Di Xi, and Di Wu gathered together.
“The Galactic Sovereign’s true identity is almost certainly Luo He!” Di Yan sat uneasily on his throne, his massive flame wings drooping, his long scaled tail twitching restlessly, his body’s flames writhing in agitation.
“Are you really that panicked?” Di Wu said. “A powerful secret treasure in Hu Yang City proves the Galactic Sovereign is Luo He?”
“Sister Di Wu, have you seen the power of that treasure? It’s reached the Origin Continent’s maximum limit,” Di Yan fretted. “It even severs karmic ties stronger than Thunder Mountain—I can’t sense a single life within Hu Yang City.”
Di Xi nodded coldly beside him: “On the Origin Continent, Thunder Mountain was once the top in karmic severance, considered the First Sacred Site. Now Hu Yang City’s effect is even stronger.”
“A treasure’s power depends on its wielder,” Di Yan said. “Even if Gui Xu and others were given powerful secret treasures, they couldn’t unleash much of their might. But that colossal claw’s power is so immense… its owner must be stronger than any of us.”
“The Origin Continent suddenly produces a being this powerful, with a secret treasure this potent? Who else could it be but the Galactic Sovereign?” Di Yan pressed. “And those five linked mountain ranges have stood around Hu Yang City for hundreds of cycles.”
No error in any detail!
“Considering Luo He’s rapid rise…”
“Considering the former Galactic Sovereign killed three Sovereigns of the Food Nation—and their territory fell into Luo He’s hands…”
“The Galactic Sovereign despised evil—look closely at Luo He’s growth history: he despises evil just as fiercely.”
Di Yan exclaimed: “Combined, all evidence points to one conclusion—Luo He is almost certainly the Galactic Sovereign!”
As the first Divine Lord of the Yan Feng Ancient Nation, Di Yan had united two other Divine Lords to form the strongest faction among the nation’s many lords—his insight was sharp. He’d long sensed Luo Feng’s potential and sought to suppress him. He never imagined Luo Feng’s growth would be this terrifying.
“Even if he is the Galactic Sovereign, what of it?” Di Xi said calmly. “We haven’t plundered billions of lives. We have no deep grudge against him.”
“Di Wu, you and Di Chu have a deep grudge,” Di Yan said.
“We never killed a single descendant or disciple of Luo He,” Di Wu replied. “As for my grudge with Di Chu—he’s alive and well, while I lost two children. I’m the one who suffered more.”
“We are still Divine Lords of the Yan Feng Ancient Nation’s imperial clan,” Di Xi looked at Di Yan. “The Ancestors are merciful—if we haven’t committed a grave sin, they’ll protect us. I know what you’re thinking—you want to leave the Origin Continent?”
Di Yan looked at his wife: “Don’t leave your fate in the hands of other powerful beings.”
After concluding Luo He was almost certainly the Galactic Sovereign, Di Yan had already made his decision.
“I don’t want to leave.”
Di Xi shook her head. “I’ve heard that beyond the source world, beings like us—only with Ultimate Life bodies—are the weakest, the lowest of the low! I’d rather survive for billions of cycles here than go out there.”
Di Yan said no more.
If he waited until the Origin Continent neared its end, Di Xi would surely agree to leave.
But there are still billions of cycles ahead—still an immeasurably long time. Her refusal to leave was perfectly natural.
…
Elsewhere.
Di Chu gazed far toward Hu Yang City—the colossal furry claw, cradling the city, radiated far greater might than Thunder Mountain.
“To wield such a secret treasure so fearlessly, without concern for the Ancestors seizing it—instead, openly revealing it…” Di Chu thought, “It must be the Galactic Sovereign.”
“He reveals such power, such a potent secret treasure, solely to protect Hu Yang City?”
The Divine Lords were no fools.
This display by Luo Feng in Hu Yang City, combined with past clues, led everyone to the same conclusion—Luo He might be the Galactic Sovereign.
“Could my disciple be the Galactic Sovereign?”
“Could he be?”
Di Chu gazed into the distance, his thoughts in turmoil.
“Luo Feng,” Di Chu sent a message.
“Master,” Luo Feng replied.
“Luo Feng, are you the Galactic Sovereign?” Di Chu asked again.
“Yes. I am the Galactic Sovereign. I’ve deceived you for so long—it’s my fault, Master.” Luo Feng replied.
Di Chu felt his blood boil, his head roaring.
