Chapter 49: Cleaned Out to the Last Drop
The Lord Mayor’s mansion, five divine power incarnations gathered here and sat down separately.
“Simultaneously capturing eight array experts, the Food Nation has sent a group of top-tier Eternal True Gods,” Mo Li Xiao said. “According to the five surviving array experts, the Food Nation is investigating all information regarding the ‘Hu Yang City Array Diagram.’”
“The array experts were only responsible for repairing tiny sections—they know very little about the complete diagram,” said the Lord Mayor of Hu Yang City. “Such a massive disturbance couldn’t possibly be for just that little bit of information.”
The blood-scaled figure Wu Qu Lou spoke calmly: “The array experts know little about the complete diagram, but they clearly understand the general layout of Hu Yang City’s array.”
Everyone present agreed.
Array experts like Sheng Tian Yan could repair small sections of arrays with extraordinary skill—by examining a single point, they could infer the whole… and thus form a rough estimate of Hu Yang City’s entire array layout.
“They must have a plan targeting Hu Yang City’s grand array,” said the leader of the Mei Wu clan, solemnly.
“The Blood Cloud has been extremely patient; it hasn’t made such a move in a long time,” Mo Li Xiao said. “I suggest we report to the Marquis and request aid.”
“Agreed.”
“The Food Nation capturing array experts is only the beginning. Once they truly reveal their fangs, we may not be able to hold out.”
“Report to the Marquis.”
Everyone agreed.
Previously, when the Mei Wu Qi massacre of hundreds of millions of citizens occurred, they barely had time to cover it up—naturally, they dared not seek aid.
But in facing the Food Nation, their request for aid is entirely justified.
Luo Feng knew little of the open and covert struggles between the Lord Mayor’s mansion and the Food Nation; he was temporarily residing at Dengmen.
This was also a public declaration—I am protecting Sheng Tian Yan!
Two days had passed in the blink of an eye.
Luo Feng was strolling within Dengmen, watching its disciples forge secret treasures and weapons.
“My Lord,” Mo Yu Liu Xing, the third elder of the Mo Yu family, who was instructing younger disciples, immediately bowed upon seeing Luo Feng.
He had considerable talent in weapon forging and, with ample resources, had already crossed into the Void True God realm. Of the three Mo Yu brothers, the eldest and the third were both Void True Gods; only Mo Yu Qing Yan, who followed Luo Feng, remained merely a True God.
“Mo Yu Liu Xing,” Luo Feng smiled at him. “I heard you got married?”
“Yes, she’s a senior sister I met after joining Dengmen,” Mo Yu Liu Xing said, a faint smile of happiness appearing as he spoke of his wife.
“Dengmen seems well-suited for you,” Luo Feng chuckled.
On the Origin Continent, countless beings lived, most of whom never married—after all, their lifespans were infinite, and reproduction was unnecessary. Finding a true love and choosing to wed was exceedingly rare.
Some immensely powerful beings, with extraordinary bloodlines, would still produce offspring purely to continue their lineage.
“Dengmen suits me well. My Master has sincerely guided us,” Mo Yu Liu Xing said.
Suddenly—
Sheng Tian Yan rushed over from afar, leaping two steps to appear before Luo Feng.
“Luo He Brother,” Sheng Tian Yan said, sounding urgent.
Luo Feng waved his hand at Mo Yu Liu Xing, who immediately bowed and withdrew.
“What’s wrong?” Luo Feng asked.
“Three of the eight captured array experts have been killed,” Sheng said. “After their deaths, their families may face trouble, so I’ve been keeping an eye on their situations.”
Sheng Tian Yan enjoyed making friends, and these three were all from the same circle—naturally, they were his close companions.
“Of these three families, two were quietly swallowed by Yun Bao Tower. Yun Bao Tower has branches in multiple major cities of Yu Nation, primarily selling mid- to low-tier secret treasures and weapons,” Sheng said. “My Dengmen, or other weapon-forging masters’ shops, are all small-time operations. Yun Bao Tower is a true large-scale commercial force.”
Luo Feng listened.
How many points could you earn selling weapons and secret treasures to Eternal True Gods in a single eon?
Selling to True Gods and Void True Gods was far more profitable—due to their immense numbers, wealth could accumulate into something terrifying.
Just as Divine Kings and Chaos Dominators collected “residence fees” from vast numbers of True God subjects to amass the greatest resources.
“Normally, Yun Bao Tower wouldn’t bother plundering local families—but this time, they did,” Sheng Tian Yan growled. “It must be that some Eternal True Gods in Yun Bao Tower’s Hu Yang City branch grew greedy and swallowed those two families.”
“Before Yun Bao Tower, those two families couldn’t resist. Without a sound, all their long-accumulated resources, materials, and shops were seized,” Sheng Tian Yan fumed. “That alone would be bad enough—but Yun Bao Tower, being so powerful, didn’t slaughter them outright. Though the families were utterly ruined, at least their lives were spared; few of their kin died in the struggle over property.”
“But the Qi Feng family suffered terribly—they were targeted by the dark force ‘Six Lords Alliance.’ Over half of Qi Feng’s ten thousand core kin were killed, nearly all their resources forcibly plundered, and the two children of their Eternal True Gods were taken by the ‘Thousand-Eyed Lord’ of the Six Lords Alliance to their headquarters,” Sheng said. “They’re likely forcing those two children to hand over the resources they inherited.”
“Luo He Brother, Qi Feng Shenjun is my close friend. Half his kin are dead, and I want to save his two children,” Sheng Tian Yan looked at Luo Feng. “The Six Lords Alliance won’t respect my face—so I ask you to intervene on my behalf.”
Luo Feng frowned: “Is the Lord Mayor’s mansion just watching? Those three array experts were killed precisely because they repaired the mansion’s array!”
“Most Eternal True Gods in Hu Yang City have served the Lord Mayor’s mansion. When has the mansion ever cared about the lives of those Eternal True Gods?” Sheng Tian Yan shook his head. “Only if they fully submit and become vassals will the mansion intervene.” “Leave this to me,” Luo Feng nodded, then shot off into the distance, glancing at Mo Luo Sa, who was happily eating and drinking.
One glance, and Mo Luo Sa understood.
“Master,” Mo Luo Sa immediately flew over.
“We’re going out,” Luo Feng said, mounting his flying vessel with Mo Luo Sa, heading straight for the Six Lords Alliance headquarters.
…
The entire Hu Yang City had eighteen dark forces, and the Six Lords Alliance was one of them. Their headquarters was perpetually shrouded in gloom, faint mist swirling around it, with numerous internal members moving about, busy with their tasks.
In one of the halls within the headquarters.
The Qi Feng siblings sat there, trembling as they stared at the red-robed woman before them.
“Your father is dead. Carrying such treasures is no longer an advantage—it’s a liability,” the red-robed woman smiled softly. “Earlier, I asked your kin to willingly surrender their family resources—they refused? The result? Half your kin are dead.”
“Now it’s your turn,” the red-robed woman looked at the brother and sister. “Qi Feng Shenjun had only you two children—he must have arranged a backup plan for you. He probably left resources for you at Yan Feng Hall.”
“Follow my instructions. Immediately contact Yan Feng Hall and transfer all resources to me. Then you may live. Otherwise, you’ll die—and then everything will be lost.” The red-robed woman regarded these two plump lambs.
!.
As one of the leaders of the dark forces, she had long hunted for fat lambs.
After Qi Feng Shenjun’s death, his two children were naturally prime targets.
Like when Diao Rong Yan died, his daughter Diao Rong Qi was also a fat lamb—but she had lived in the Mo Li family’s cave residence, so she’d avoided trouble.
“Good thing I moved quickly—if I’d been slower, another dark force would’ve snatched them away,” thought the Thousand-Eyed Lord.
At that moment, Luo Feng and Mo Luo Sa arrived at the Six Lords Alliance headquarters on their flying vessel.
Whoosh.
They retracted the vessel and appeared before the main gate of the Six Lords Alliance headquarters.
“Master? Should we storm in?” Mo Luo Sa stirred with eagerness.
But Luo Feng had already taken a step forward.
Boom~~~
Entering the Six Lords Alliance headquarters without permission naturally triggered the headquarters’ array retaliation. The dark array roared to life, its power crushing toward Luo Feng, seeking to tear him apart.
“What’s happening?” Many members of the Six Lords Alliance, including the Eternal True Gods present, were startled.
Luo Feng, accompanied by Mo Luo Sa, stepped inside. The invisible aura naturally forming around his body could shred the array’s power.
As he entered the headquarters, Luo Feng instantly locked onto the Thousand-Eyed Lord and spotted the Qi Feng siblings beside the red-robed woman—their details had been provided to him by Sheng Tian Yan.
“Luo He Shenjun!” shouted the Six Lords Alliance’s “Bai Wu Lord” from afar.
Boom!
Luo Feng took a step, carrying Mo Luo Sa, and crashed through layers of obstacles, smashing through walls, arriving directly inside the hall before the Thousand-Eyed Lord.
The Thousand-Eyed Lord stared in shock at Luo Feng, at the shattered debris around them, and quickly bowed with a forced smile: “Thousand-Eyed greets Luo He Shenjun.”
“Luo He Shenjun,” the other two Eternal True Gods present—“Bai Wu Lord” and “Qiu Feng Lord”—immediately flew over, speaking with utmost courtesy and humility, daring not to offend in the slightest.
Luo Feng looked at the red-robed woman, the Thousand-Eyed Lord: “Did you attack the Qi Feng family?”
The red-robed woman instantly guessed the truth and hurriedly said: “I was protecting the two children of Qi Feng Shenjun. I didn’t kill those Qi Feng kin.”
“It was her!” shouted the brother from the corner of the hall, though terrified, he gritted his teeth and spoke the truth.
The red-robed woman glared in shock and fury at the siblings.
“Luo He Shenjun, I—” The red-robed woman began to plead, but saw Luo He Shenjun’s hand already reaching out!
She had no time for anything else—she instantly manifested her true form to save herself. A monstrous entity twisted into view, its surface covered in countless strange eyes—she truly had over a thousand eyes, capable of damaging the enemy’s soul.
Puff~~~
Luo Feng’s seemingly ordinary hand passed through the monstrous form and crushed her True God heart.
Only the twisted corpse of the True God fell away; Luo Feng waved his hand and collected it.
Bai Wu Lord and Qiu Feng Lord stared, stunned. Though the Thousand-Eyed Lord was not as powerful as the Blood Serpent Guild Master, she was still an extremely formidable Eternal True God—yet she offered no resistance before Luo He Shenjun.
“Were you involved in the deaths of the Qi Feng family’s many kin?” Luo Feng asked them both.
Bai Wu Lord and Qiu Feng Lord immediately shook their heads.
They knew if they answered poorly, they too would die!
