Chapter 196: No One Can Save You!

Wang Kun, upon hearing Sikong Tu's words, felt as if he had grabbed a lifeline.

He immediately took out his phone and dialed Director Duan Boyan of the Jiangcheng City Defense Office.

"Director Duan! Send people to Ji Shi Tang immediately! There are rioters gathering here, obstructing the Medical Administration from performing official duties! You must dispatch forces at once to control the situation!"

After hanging up, Wang Kun's confidence rose again, and he roared viciously at the crowd.

"You lot of rioters! The City Defense Office personnel are arriving immediately! Anyone who dares to block them will be arrested for Obstructing Official Duties Crime!"

The neighbors were not afraid at all, still standing in front of Jiang Feng, glaring angrily at Wang Kun and Sikong Tu, and the standoff persisted.

Sikong Tu stood aside, his face grim as he stared at Jiang Feng.

Jiang Feng stood in place, his expression calm.

In less than ten minutes, a rapid police siren sounded and soon stopped at the Ji Shi Tang gate.

A dozen or so City Defense Office officers hurried in, led by Chief of Major Cases Group Shen Junyao.

Shen Junyao, upon entering, saw Jiang Feng surrounded by the crowd, and quickly hurried over, her tone carrying a hint of urgency.

"Jiang Feng, what's happening? Why are so many people gathered around?"

She had come under Director Duan's orders to assist in official duties, but upon seeing Jiang Feng, she first concerned herself with his condition.

It was Wang Kun who, seeing the City Defense Office personnel arrive, immediately stepped forward and assumed the posture of a Provincial Medical Administration Director.

"Are you the person in charge of the City Defense Office? I am Jiangnan Medical Administration Director Wang Kun!"

Everyone looked toward the voice and saw Lei Zhen walking in from the doorway.

"Officer Shen, I believe the Medical Administration would not act without cause. Whether Jiang Feng violated regulations will become clear after investigation; the most important thing now is to cooperate with the Medical Administration's work to prevent the situation from escalating further."

Shen Junyao, upon seeing Lei Zhen, shivered all over, and her expression instantly turned uneasy.

She did not expect that even Lei Zhen would side with Wang Kun against Jiang Feng!

Lei Zhen is the head of the Dragon Group Action Office, a highly respected position with deep background; as a Chief of Major Cases Group, she could not possibly offend her.

Shen Junyao was torn for a moment, and in the end could only give Jiang Feng a helpless look.

"It's okay, I understand."

He didn't want Officer Shen to suffer because he had offended Lei Zhen and the Medical Administration, so he turned and bowed toward the neighboring residents standing before him.

Hua Jing watched the medical hall in total disarray and felt a pang of heartache.

"You are going too far! These are all our legal property!"

"Legal property?"

Wang Kun sneered.

"Once the investigation is clear, they will naturally be returned to you. Now, be honest with me!"

The staff quickly packed up the items, escorted Jiang Feng and Hua Jing out the door.

Jiang Feng's expression remained calm, he did not resist, and when he reached Wang Kun's side, he gave a faint smile.

"Director Wang, I guarantee that in no time you will respectfully invite me back to Ji Shi Tang."

"Hmph, dream on!"

As Jiang Feng was being taken away, Officer Shen's face showed hesitation, and finally she made a phone call out...

The car started slowly, heading toward the direction of the Jiangnan Medical Administration.

In the carriage, Wang Kun fully revealed his true face, looking at Jiang Feng viciously.
