"She didn't say."

"Then did she say what this return is for?"

Su Xueyan glanced at him, her tone still light.

"She didn't say either."

Su Jiancheng leaned in, lowering his voice to say.

Xue Yan, you say the old lady probably isn't coming back to divide the inheritance, right? Old Master still has quite a lot in his hands, you know?

Su Xueyan's face sank instantly.

"Third Uncle, let's wait until Grandma arrives before saying these things."

"Long time no see."

"Brother-in-law, my grandmother has a bad temper; when the time comes, don't take it personally."

Jiang Feng glanced at her.

"Do you know why your grandmother suddenly came back?"

Su Xiaonuan shook her head.

"I don't know, but my mother said Grandma's return this time definitely has a purpose."

She paused, then said.

"Anyway, just keep it in mind."

Jiang Feng nodded, not asking further.

Su Xiaonuan ran off to find Su Xueyan again, and the two whispered in the corner.

Su Jianlong and Su Jiancheng stood in the yard, muttering something unknown.

Su Shian stood to the side, occasionally glancing inside, his eyes showing a hint of impatience.

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye it was five o'clock in the afternoon.

Su Xueyan changed into a dark coat, her hair flowing down, making her look dignified and graceful.

Jiang Feng remained as before, wearing a simple black jacket.

Su Jianlong had already prepared the car—a black business vehicle parked at the entrance.

"Xueyan, let's go, or we'll be late."

Su Jiancheng drove, Su Jianlong sat in the front passenger seat, Su Xueyan and Jiang Feng sat in the middle row, and Su Xiaonuan and Su Shian sat in the back row.

The car started and headed toward Jiangcheng Airport.

After driving for over forty minutes, they arrived at Jiangcheng Airport.

Su Jiancheng parked the car at the VIP Lounge entrance, and everyone got out.

"We have twenty minutes left; we can just wait here."

Several people stood outside the VIP Lounge, waiting for the elderly lady's plane.

Then a group of people escorted a white-haired elderly woman out.

The elderly woman wore a dark qipao, her hair neatly combed, her face bore few wrinkles, well-maintained, looking much younger than her actual age.

Her gaze was sharp, sweeping over those present, finally settling on Su Xueyan.

Su Jianlong hurried forward, smiling warmly and shouting.

"Auntie, you're back! You must have had a tough journey."

Su Jiancheng also stepped forward, smiling broadly.

"Auntie, we've been waiting for you for a long time!"

Yet the white-haired elderly woman seemed not to see them at all; her gaze swept past them without pausing.

She walked straight past Su Jianlong and Su Jiancheng, coming to stand before Su Xueyan.

Su Xueyan lowered her head slightly and spoke softly.

"Grandma, you're back."

The elderly woman looked at Su Xueyan, her expression softened a bit, and she nodded.

"Mm, I'm back."

Her voice was not loud but firm, carrying an undeniable tone.

Then her gaze shifted to Jiang Feng.

The elderly woman looked Jiang Feng up and down, her eyes carrying scrutiny, as if assessing whether a commodity was worth its price.

Jiang Feng remained calm, neither humble nor arrogant, standing there and letting her examine him.

The old woman looked for a while, then finally spoke.

"Xue Yan, is this the husband you chose?"

Her Tone was very plain, but every word carried a hint of looking down from above.
