Chapter 196

【Mikuri: Squirtle is reliable, the key is training with the fire squad, and he specially came here to help Ash in the match.】

【Xiba: Awesome, my little turtle! Such a tiny body actually has this much strength!】

【Ash: Squirtle hasn't evolved yet, its strength is no less than Blastoise's, just like Bulbasaur, both are base forms, can become strong without evolving.】

【Miss Junsha: Squirtle has trained for a long time with the fire squad, learned many moves, now its strength is very strong, it can easily handle the fully evolved Blastoise, to become stronger it helped Ash and the fire squad, putting in a lot, just like Charizard, both are hard-trained.】

Bai Shijie—

In the next battle, Ash faced Chunyi, who had a very strong Shiny Magneton, consecutively defeating Ash's Pikachu and Cyndaquil, leaving Ash with only Bulbasaur.

Bulbasaur used Leech Seed to drain the Magneton, then defeated it with Vine Whip.

Chunyi still had Sunflora left, Bulbasaur was especially empowered, fighting spirit maxed out. No dodging, head-on clash, until the opponent fell!

Vine Whip, Flying Leaf Blade, Solar Beam clashed against each other, ultimately both sides suffered losses.

Finally Ash faced off against Xiaomao.

Between them, after traveling this long, it was their first meeting in the League match.

Both sides' strength were roughly equal, but Xiaomao's Blastoise was trained very strongly, performed outstandingly, defeating three Pokémon.

Entering the second half of the match, it was Ash's Snorlax's turn to exert force, defeating Arcanine and Nidoqueen.

Xiaomao sent out Scizor to quickly defeat Snorlax and Grimer; now Xiaomao still had three Pokémon, while Ash only had Charizard left.

Charizard consecutively defeated Scizor and Golem, leaving only Blastoise, and Charizard faced Blastoise in the final showdown.

Only saw Charizard use Flamethrower, yet couldn't break Blastoise's high-speed rotating defense, even retreating step by step under the opponent's Water Cannon and Rocket Head Hammer.

At that moment, Ash had a brainwave: have Charizard use Flamethrower to burn the field, when Blastoise uses Water Cannon it creates a lot of steam; taking advantage of Blastoise's poor visibility, he shortened the distance, adopting close combat favorable to himself, and finally won the match.

Ash defeated Xiaomao, securing this battle's victory!

At night, Xiaomao invited Ash out, handing him the split Poké Ball.

This Poké Ball was caught by both of them while fishing, the mutual tug causing it to split into two halves.

In Xiaomao's eyes there was both regret and relief, but towards Ash and Ash's Pokémon, he humbly accepted defeat, shaking hands and exchanging blessings!

【Brock: Two partners who have competed since childhood, the moment they shook hands and exchanged blessings really gave one goosebumps!】

【Xiba: After this battle, Ash and Xiaomao went from rivals to closer friends, no longer as opposed as before, both have grown!】

Their friendship blossomed through battle, becoming deeper!

Bai Shijie—

Final championship match second round, Ash faced Ye Yue.

Both sides' strength hardly differed, can be considered fifty-fifty.

Fighting until the end, each side still had one Pokémon left, Ash had Charizard, Ye Yue had Fire Chicken.

After a long fight, Charizard exhausted and fell first, thus Ash lost the match, stopping at the top eight of the Silver Conference.

Ye Yue then, in the next battle, used Hydreigon and lost to the opponent's Rhydon, thus being defeated and stopping at the semifinals; in conversation with Ye Yue, Ash learned about the Hoenn region.

Xiaomao now is ready to embark on a path similar to his grandfather Professor Oak's, wanting to become a Pokémon researcher!

White Light Curtain froze at the moment everyone parted!

Xiaomao grew up since childhood under Professor Oak's influence, full of infinite curiosity and love for Pokémon.

Everyone basically guessed Xiaomao was preparing to become a researcher, after all Professor Oak is there, surely will have a great influence on Xiaomao.

White Light Curtain dimmed, Black Light Curtain lit up.

As soon as the Black Light Curtain lit up, saw Ash send out Venusaur to face off against Raikou; in a blink, the two seemed to have tacit understanding, acting together.

Venusaur relied on its high special defense to withstand Raikou's electric attack, specifically using Sweet Scent to lower Raikou's evasion rate, then using Photosynthesis and Leech Seed to drain.

Raikou dodges while attacking, both sides are injured, except Wonderful Frog Flower occasionally uses photosynthesis to recover stamina, equivalent to Raikou's attacks being wasted; Wonderful Frog Flower's attacks sometimes can hit Raikou, although damage is not high, but the main point is to slowly accumulate, wanting to defeat Raikou this way.

「Wonderful Frog Flower, use Crazy Plant now! 」

Ash infuses Wave-Guide Power into Wonderful Frog Flower's body.

Boom!

On the ground, a crack split open like a beast's fang, dust flying, a group of thick and twisted tree roots, like living creatures, madly struck toward the front Raikou.

The speed of the tree roots is neither fast nor slow, yet they carry a heart-pounding tearing wind, as if each bore a tremendous force.

Raikou jumps and dodges on the tree roots; due to interference from parasitic seeds, its speed slowed a bit, and each thick tree root took the opportunity to smash fiercely at Raikou.

Raikou immediately shot out a strong current, blasting apart the incoming tree roots, but there were many incoming tree roots, launching a fierce offensive against Raikou.

The battle entered a white-hot stage, Raikou's electric strikes and the tree roots' impacts intertwined, the air filled with a burnt smell and dust.

After using Crazy Plant, Wonderful Frog Flower is now immobile; Raikou's condition is also not good, many wounds have appeared on its body, but it directly used Thunder Strike to hit Wonderful Frog Flower.

Wonderful Frog Flower originally had resistance to Electric-type, and with frequent training alongside Pikachu, its ability to withstand electricity greatly increased, so taking this Thunder Strike had little effect.

All good?

Everyone looked Braindead, Wonderful Frog Flower stubbornly took Raikou's Thunder Strike, its complexion didn't change much, and Wonderful Frog Flower took the opportunity to use photosynthesis, and recovered stamina again and again and again!

Under Wave-Guide boost, Wonderful Frog Flower's body is slightly damaged, while Raikou has many more wounds; how can we fight?

Seeing Ash still looking solemn, everyone wondered whether Raikou was about to unleash its full power, or if it was still holding back.

If they fought Black Satoshi like this, they'd probably have lost from exhaustion already; who could withstand such steady Black Satoshi!
