Chapter 215
Ash and his friends ran into an acquaintance here—the Team Rocket Trio.
They also didn't know Team Rocket headquarters' plan.
"Why do you guys from Team Rocket always do bad things?"
Faced with this question, the Team Rocket Trio immediately replied, "Because we are Team Rocket, an evil organization."
Team Rocket's undisguised frankness left Ash and the others momentarily speechless.
"Tie them up, don't let them cause trouble."
A flicker of alertness crossed Ash's eyes; he immediately took a sturdy rope from his backpack. Then Pikachu released the lowest power of 100,000 Volts, safely but effectively binding the Team Rocket Trio, restricting their movement without harming them.
"At a critical moment, the Team Rocket Trio might even serve as hostages."
Ash voiced his thought: although the Team Rocket Trio repeatedly failed and were even arrested many times by police, they always miraculously escaped and continued their mischief everywhere. What's more puzzling is that they also have ample funds and resources, enabling them to manufacture various complex robots.
It seems Team Rocket headquarters is still supporting them; they must be important figures!
After Ash said that, Brock found it reasonable; the Team Rocket Trio really isn't as simple as it seems, so supervision of them became stricter.
Pikachu feared Team Rocket would escape, so it prepared 100,000 Volts; if they made any move, the voltage would strike them.
【Ash: Black Satoshi's thoughts are becoming degenerate!】
【Xiaoxia: The Team Rocket Trio are just newcomers with zero contribution value; how could they be important figures of Team Rocket headquarters? Even as hostages, they'd be useless.】
【Wuzang: What does zero contribution value even mean, you little girl? You don't understand anything, yet you're slandering us.】
【Brock: Is there even a need to slander? Your partners Xiaosanlang and Yamaduo also evaluate you that way.】
【Xiaosanlang: Yes!】
【Yama'er: Wuzang and Xiaocilang are just useless!】
As soon as Xiaosanlang and Yamaduo appeared, Wuzang and Xiaocilang immediately started arguing with them, and the comments flew by quickly.
Not only did outsiders look bewildered, but even the Team Rocket members looked confused.
The four of them started arguing for no reason, each insisting they were stronger than the others; everyone thought they were evenly matched, but there was one thing Xiaosanlang and Yamaduo couldn't match Wuzang and Xiaocilang on: Wuzang's side had a talking Meowth.
Seeing the comments posted on the bulletin board, Banmu lost interest; his current top priority is Mewtwo, although his memory was erased by Mewtwo, but from this Light Screen he learned again that he wants to capture Mewtwo.
Mewtwo's psychic power has become far too strong; it's no longer possible to defeat it simply by relying on Poké Ball, and one must instead use high technology against Mewtwo as shown in the Light Screen.
Only by using those cloned Poké Balls as a threat will Mewtwo give up resistance; however Mewtwo has already suffered a loss once and will not suffer a second loss, so full preparations are needed.
Now let's see how Banmu of the Black World does things; surely it won't be so easy for Mewtwo to erase his memory!
Black World—
The tranquil lakeside, with rippling water, should have been a peaceful place where Poké Ball coexisted harmoniously with nature, but due to Team Rocket's sudden intrusion, a shadow fell over it.
Ash and his friends quickened their pace; the battle sounds grew clearer from afar, and by the lake a fierce confrontation was unfolding. That was Team Rocket using high-tech means to control the cloned Poké Balls one by one, then throwing out their homemade Poké Balls to capture them.
Meanwhile, Mewtwo effortlessly used psychic power to shatter one by one the Poké Balls binding the Poké Balls, freeing the trapped Poké Balls, and also destroyed those high-tech devices one by one, unable to act against itself.
Seeing Mewtwo's strength grow this much, Banmu's eyes flashed with greed and excitement; his joy did not diminish because of Mewtwo's resistance, but instead intensified.
The stronger Mewtwo became, the more useful it was to subdue it; he immediately dispatched several devices, all surrounding Mewtwo.
The Black World's Team Rocket brought a lot of equipment, far more than the White World's, and Mewtwo couldn't escape so easily.
At first Mewtwo could still cope, but the Team Rocket members turned their greedy gazes to the Gyarados on the lake surface, capturing them in Poké Balls; Mewtwo then had to help them while also watching those devices.
Team Rocket wanted both Mewtwo and those cloned Poké Balls.
Seeing this, Banmu curled the corner of his mouth into a cold smile, using those cloned Poké Balls as a threat to try to force Mewtwo to submit.
"Fire Blast!"
A flame sprayed from elsewhere directly struck the Team Rocket members, driving them back and also destroying several Poké Balls used to control the Poké Balls.
The flame's residual power spread across the lake surface, stirring up waves of heat.
Mewtwo emitted a protective shield around its body, blocking those devices.
With a grab, those devices seemed to be seized by an invisible giant hand, suddenly flung outward, slamming hard into the surrounding rocks with loud bangs, and Mewtwo finished them off with psychic power.
At this moment, Banmu and all the Team Rocket members' attention was drawn to this change, their gazes all turning toward Ash and his friends.
Ash and his friends had somehow silently arrived at the battlefield.
Mewtwo landed beside Ash and communicated telepathically, "Even though you know this place is so dangerous, why come here? Banmu is ruthless; you probably aren't his match."
"He's coming for me..."
Ash interrupted Mewtwo's speech, saying seriously, "I won't let Team Rocket freely attack Poké Ball, and besides, we're friends—shouldn't we help each other?"
"You're a very special kind of human, a strange Trainer; in your presence I feel absolutely no ulterior motive toward Poké Ball."
Mewtwo turned its head to glance at Ash, a sharp light flashing in its eyes.
"Young man, you've got guts!"
Banmu snorted coldly, his icy gaze fixed on Ash, "It's you who's constantly sabotaging our Team Rocket's plans; I recall you still have a Lugia in your hand, right?"
"If that's the case, then let's take them all together!"
Team Rocket's planes kept firing light waves at the surrounding Poké Balls; any Poké Ball hit would become weak and unable to move.
Yet the devices destroyed by Mewtwo were still usable; they continued to attack Mewtwo, aiming to keep Mewtwo under control via the device.
Sakaki then personally faced off against Ash.
He wanted to see how this boy had repeatedly thwarted their plans and even captured Lugia.
Looking at Sakaki, he saw Sakaki coldly smirk; Ash suddenly felt the hairs on his back stand up, his heartbeat accelerated like war drums pounding in his chest, he sensed danger and quickly jumped to the side.
Bang!
Just as Ash jumped aside, a huge Beedrill with gleaming double needles suddenly appeared behind him, swooping down from above and straight toward Ash.
But the double needle attack missed, only managing to embed itself uselessly into the spot where Ash had been standing, sinking deep into the soil and kicking up a cloud of dust.
Pikachu immediately used Iron Tail; Beedrill lightly sidestepped, nimbly dodging Pikachu's attack. The gust from the Iron Tail swept past Beedrill's side, only kicking up a few insignificant pebbles on the ground.
Xiaoxia, standing nearby, witnessed this; her heart tightened sharply. She had no time to react to Beedrill's sudden assault on Ash, only seeing a black flash before Ash barely avoided being stung, leaving her face ashen, eyes full of worry and fear.
"Looks like you're even more troublesome than I imagined."
Sakaki saw Ash dodge the Beedrill's attack, a flicker of surprise crossed his eyes; he originally thought that with the Beedrill's speed, he could easily take down this trainer obstructing them, but now it seems things aren't that simple.
After hearing the subordinates around him reveal Ash's identity, Sakaki's gaze grew deeper, and his interest in Ash increased accordingly.
Everyone felt their hearts tighten, but fortunately Black Satoshi reacted swiftly and dodged; truly damn sneaky!
【Xiba: Sakaki is too sneaky, huh, actually pulling a sneak attack?】
