Chapter 24

After the incident with the huge Dragonite, Ash and his friends finally arrived at Withered Leaf City; the first thing was to go to the Pokémon Center to rest, as the Pokémon were tired from training and needed a break.

Upon entering the Pokémon Center, Miss Joy informed Ash and his friends.

Too many Pokémon were injured from challenging the Withered Leaf Gym, so the Pokémon Center's waiting list was full; they had to wait one or two hours before the Pokémon could receive treatment.

While waiting for the Pokémon to rest, Ash and his friends saw many Pokémon scorched black by electricity appearing at the Pokémon Center, alongside trainers with downcast expressions.

"These Pokémon were all defeated by the Gym Leader Ma Zhishi; he not only defeated them but also said the challengers' Pokémon are babies, believing that unevolved Pokémon are weak, so he shows no mercy to challengers' Pokémon."

Miss Joy explained clearly to Ash and his friends, seeing that their outfits also looked like they were going to challenge Ma Zhishi, so she hoped they wouldn't go challenge Ma Zhishi unprepared, otherwise the beds at the Pokémon Center couldn't be arranged that quickly.

"By the way, his Raichu evolved right from the start using a Thunder Stone, and it's very strong!"

"Many trainers' Pokémon can't beat it!"

Raichu?

If you mention that, I won't be sleepy!

The Pikachu perched on Ash's shoulder, upon hearing "Raichu", had its eyes suddenly light up and became energized!

Ash smiled, looked at Pikachu, and instantly understood what Pikachu meant.

Then let Ma Zhishi see,

Who is really the baby!

【Tie Xuan: Oh dear, where is Ma Zhishi? Why isn't he coming out to speak?】

【Dian Ci: I didn't expect Ma Zhishi to be so harsh toward challengers; I wonder what the battle against Black Satoshi will be like?】

【Xiao Ju'er: This time they must have kicked Black Satoshi's iron plate, right? I just don't know how Black Satoshi will act against Ma Zhishi; relying on Black Satoshi's knowledge of Pokémon, plus Ma Zhishi's self-destruct, Black Satoshi should defeat Ma Zhishi using the same method as Ash from the Bai Shijie.】

Ma Zhishi silently watched the bullet comments; he didn't dare speak. Initially he was too arrogant, but now he's improved. However, being publicly executed makes him feel awful, and the electric-type Gyms from all regions keep tagging him, really wanting to embarrass him!

【Ding!】

【Entering the rewarded quiz segment!】

【Question: How did Black Satoshi defeat Ma Zhishi?】

【A: He simply can't win!】

【B: He lost the first battle, then Ash had Pikachu evolve into Raichu, leading to a showdown between two Raichus!】

【C: Like Ash from the Bai Shijie, find Raichu's weakness to high-speed movement moves and win with speed!】

【D: Head-on clash, defeat Raichu with a powerful 100,000 Volts!】

【This round's respondents: Tie Xuan, Dian Ci, Xiao Ju'er, Shitron】

The four didn't discuss, because this question isn't worth discussing; it's clearly a free-point question.

From the start they saw Black Satoshi come out traveling, he himself knows Pokémon extremely well and deeply respects them; Pikachu doesn't want to evolve, so it doesn't, thus options A and B are out of the question; option D's approach would be difficult, and although Ma Zhishi has a foul mouth, his Raichu's electric moves are strong, so D is also unlikely.

Moreover, facing an opponent like Ma Zhishi who exposes his own weakness, he surely doesn't need others to remind him; he can find Raichu's weak point himself, so the answer is definitely C.

Tie Xuan is the fastest, but the three of them were still a step behind.

Soon, the trio under the Black Light Screen arrived at the Withered Leaf Gym.

As soon as they entered, they were mocked.

"Gym Leader, here come three more babies!"

They pushed open the door and saw a man and a woman, staff members of the Withered Leaf Gym.

"Let me see what's going on!"

"Pikachu? The Pokémon of these babies are indeed babies too!"

The tall Ma Zhishi stepped out, looking down on Ash and Pikachu with contempt, and also released his Raichu.

"See? If you want to become a great trainer, you should let it evolve quickly so you can learn stronger electric moves."

Raichu's build is somewhat larger than Pikachu's, and like its trainer, it looks down on Pikachu, not regarding its pre-evolution at all.

Pikachu's expression turned serious.

Xiaoxia and Brock frowned; this Gym Leader is too arrogant, but having traveled with Ash, they've also witnessed Pikachu's strength, so taking down Raichu shouldn't be a big problem.

"Not necessarily!" Ash also didn't want to argue; he just wanted to use the result to give him a good wake-up call, and also vent for those challengers and Pokémon he had abused.

"As expected, still a baby, too naive!" Ma Zhishi walked onto the battlefield area.

"Now the Gym Trainer battle begins; you may use Pokémon in one-on-one matches."

"The Gym Leader's Pokémon is Raichu, the challenger Ash's Pokémon is Pikachu, no time limit, the match begins!"

"Pikachu, let's use 100,000 Volts!"

Ash felt that to deal with the arrogant Ma Zhishi, he had to defeat him in his strongest field; only then could he make him utterly convinced.

"Haha, dare to play electricity with us?"

"Raichu, let it see what real 100,000 Volts looks like."

Ma Zhishi was thrilled; unexpectedly, someone hard-headed is battling electricity with his own Raichu.

"Pika~chu"

Pikachu's body bursts with several streams of electricity that collide with the electricity bursting from Raichu!

But Raichu's electricity cannot withstand Pikachu's; Pikachu's 100,000 Volts, with an overwhelming force, crushes Raichu!

Raichu was instantly scorched black all over, and even the ground where it stood cracked.

?

Instantly?

Electric type vs electric type, instantly?

Ma Zhishi, as if struck by a bolt from the blue, stood frozen in place... and the two staff members too.

Pikachu

【Tie Xuan: Is this 100,000 Volts real? It actually one-shotted Raichu!】

【Dian Ci: Pikachu's electric-type move is so strong, Raichu is also electric-type, and even Pikachu's 100,000 Volts cannot withstand it.】

【Xiao Ju'er: Awesome awesome!!!】

【Ma Zhishi: Ah???】

Watching the Raichu he was proud of from the Black Light Screen get instantly defeated by a single 100,000 Volts, Ma Zhishi was stunned speechless, using his best electric-type move to defeat him, it's simply heartless.

If he were defeated by a speed-type move, that would still be okay, but everything that happened with the Black Light Screen makes him unable to accept it; he actually became a clown, being defeated by others using his own best move!!!

At that moment, Black Satoshi calmly looked at Ma Zhishi.

"Now, who is the baby?"

Pikachu stood with arms akimbo, showing a proud expression.

"Pika, pika!"

Louder, who is the baby?
