Chapter 328: The Inverse Attribute Master Reappears!

Directly became champion?

Bai Misty herself found it hard to believe that she actually won the championship of a big celebration.

Too strong!

Xiaosheng exclaimed, it's practically a speedrun!

All along the way they were unstoppable, defeating anyone they met; even when facing adversity they could turn the tide.

Older sister, you need to put in more effort!

Yeah, I know!

The Black Light Screen froze on the image of Ash and his friends celebrating Misty's victory, and the White Light Screen then lit up.

After the Splendid Grand Tournament ended, Ash and his group went to Colorful Hidden City to participate in the Johto Region League Conference.

Because Team Rocket played tricks, deliberately letting Misty win a plane ticket, they thus took a flight.

Due to Team Rocket's meddling, the plane crashed, and Ash's group and Team Rocket ended up on a desolate island.

They met a man named Robin, who had been stranded for a long time on this uninhabited island surrounded by whirlpools.

And Ash's group, in order to leave, converted the wrecked plane into a boat.

Thanks to the assistance of the Team Rocket Trio, Ash's group escaped the deserted island by exploiting the size advantage of the Whale King.

After experiencing this plane crash, Ash's group arrived at Colorful Hidden City safely despite the danger.

Colorful Hidden City bustled with activity, people coming and going on the streets, Pokémon happily darting about. Ash excitedly looked around, his eyes gleaming with a desire for unknown challenges.

Ash encountered a Meowth wearing boots, whose trainer was Zheye, also a participant in the Colorful Hidden Tournament.

The boot-wearing Meowth differed from the Team Rocket Trio's Meowth; its combat ability was impressive, having driven off the dark crows that attacked the city. Although it shared the same face as the Team Rocket Trio's Meowth, its behavior and demeanor were quite different.

【Xiba: That Meowth is really handsome, its combat power is strong. Previously seeing Team Rocket's Meowth, my impression was always that its combat power was lacking; I didn't expect another's Meowth to be this handsome!】

【Tie Xuan: Simply worlds apart!】

【Ma Zhishi: One can only say one is combat-type, the other is intellect-type!】

"Meowth, they're saying you're weak!"

Wuzang crossed his arms, a hint of teasing in his eyes, raised an eyebrow and looked at Meowth.

Meowth originally had its eyes half-closed, looking lazy; upon hearing this, its body tensed instantly and its ears drooped down.

It fell silent; actually it knew deep down that it truly couldn't refute that.

That boot-wearing Meowth's performance in battle was stunning; whether speed, strength, or move usage, it far surpassed its own.

Xiao Erlang patted Meowth's shoulder: "It's fine, Meowth, just be smarter than it!"

Meowth was filled with worry inside. It was fine before that few people knew its true combat ability.

Now that this light screen has been exposed, if Boss Sakaki saw it, a comparison would surely make him feel inferior to that Meowth, and then what would he do if he lost favor? Just thinking about his position in Boss Sakaki's heart not being secure, Meowth felt a pang of panic.

No way, I must increase my combat power!

Meowth abruptly lifted its head, tightly clenching its fists.

Can!

Upon hearing this, Xiao Erlang's eyes lit up, excitedly saying: "Then we can find Xiao Guitou and crew, spar with them, and easily boost our strength!"

Well, never mind...... Upon hearing this, Meowth instantly got a black line across its forehead. It seemed to see Ash and Pikachu flashing with 100,000 Volts of electricity. Thinking of Ash, it felt numb all over; the painful memory of being electrocuted surged instantly, feeling as if struck by 100,000 Volts.

Let's talk about it later, first let's see!

Meowth said weakly, deciding to postpone this plan for now, and speak again after making sufficient mental preparations.

White Light Curtain—

To prepare for the upcoming Preliminary Match, Ash trained together with his Pokémon, accidentally hitting Zhengzong.

Upon meeting, they immediately began the match, and though they encountered an ambush by the Team Rocket Trio along the way, it was still a narrow escape.

After registration, Ash and Zhengzong officially began their respective Preliminary Matches.

Zhengzong's Iron Dumbbell evolved in battle into a Metal Monster, which defeated the Electric Beast with telekinesis and won the match.

And Zheye's side sent out a Meowth to battle the Cat Boss, and successfully won the match.

Meowth harbors hatred toward the Cat Boss, having been bullied by it before.

"The Cat Boss is just like that, always bullying our Meowth!"

The Team Rocket Trio's Meowth is quite empathetic, also recalling the memory of being bullied by the Cat Boss.

"Oh, the Meowth named Madonna that you like also left with the Cat Boss!"

Wuzang recalled it; upon hearing this, Meowth felt terrible, as something it had almost forgotten was reminded by a teammate, hurting its heart once again.

Meowth's hatred toward the Cat Boss deepened again!

Xiao Erlang knows Meowth's situation.

Although Meowth had previously split from Madonna, they later met again; at this time Madonna liked a Cat Boss, and although Meowth won in the duel for its old love, Madonna still chose the Cat Boss she had lived with for a long time, causing Meowth's healed heart to break once more.

Xiao Erlang still felt a bit sorry for Meowth.

And finally it was Ash's turn, with Pikachu entering the field.

Its opponent was Feitui Lang.

Feitui Lang's strength could not match Pikachu's; the flying knee he launched not only missed Pikachu but also caused himself injury.

After finally being hit by Pikachu's Iron Tail, it lost its combat ability.

All three passed the Preliminary Match, and soon arrived at the Preselection Bidding Tournament.

Zhengzong passed the preselection first, then it was Ash's turn.

When Ash engaged in a double battle, he sent out Coal Turtle and Lobster Soldier; the Coal Turtle's Burn Out and the Tropical Dragon's Sunlight Blazing Flame collided, causing both to lose combat ability.

In the end, the Lobster Soldier won the match.

Three people passed the first match of the preliminary tournament.

Battle still continued, Ash had already won the two rounds of the preliminaries tournament; winning this match would let him advance to the finals, but Ash's Poké Ball team was at a disadvantage in terms of type, and the opponent's tactics made things even harder for him.

But Ash was no slouch either, employing all kinds of unexpected tactics and defeating the opponent with a type reversal!

【Tie Xuan: Master of type reversal!】

【Uncle Xia: In every battle he can pull off all kinds of unexpected tactics; his imagination is huge, the effect is not bad either, and his opponents don't get a chance to react.】

【Ma Zhishi: Only Ash has such guts, using solely the Poké Ball he captured in the Johto League to compete; if he switched to Poké Ball from other regions, advancing would be easy, no need to make it so complicated—if he messes up, that wouldn't be good!】
