Chapter 78: Ancient Pokemon Dragonite Appears, Crisis Solved!

Xiaomao, how come you're working harder than me now? Do you have a sense of crisis, afraid......

Hearing Xiaomao say he's been training on the mountains lately, I happened to see Xiba subdue a huge Onix, so I challenged Xiba to a battle to see how far I am from the Elite Four.

I can't compare to you!

Xiaomao shook his head, looked at what Ash was holding in his hand, which he wears all the time; even though wearing a Poké Ball is fine, as a trainer he also has to train that hard, but he still can't outwork Ash.

Moreover, under Ash's pressure, I have changed a lot, all wanting to catch up to Ash.

If I battle Ash, with Poké Ball out I don't know who would win, but if it's a trainer battle, there's no doubt Ash would win.

After chatting a while, they each began training.

Soon after, I learned that an archaeological team had come here, saying they were looking for some relics.

Hearing that the archaeological team was widely recruiting helpers with generous pay, the financially strapped Team Rocket Trio's eyes lit up immediately, and without hesitation they signed up.

After joining the archaeological team, the Team Rocket Trio quickly showed their 'team spirit'. They claimed the three of them were sufficient to handle all excavation work, needing no extra manpower, which would reduce costs and give them more chances to monopolize any discovered relics.

Although the archaeological team leader doubted their abilities, after seeing their full confidence, he still decided to give them a chance.

To search for treasure more efficiently, the Team Rocket Trio used their 'wisdom' to secretly develop a crude device said to be able to detect underground treasure.

The device looks crude, cobbled together from some old parts, but the three placed high hopes on it, believing it would be the key to realizing their wealth dream.

The device suddenly emitted a sharp, loud alarm, its needle wildly pointing to a specific direction.

The Team Rocket Trio instantly grew excited, they exchanged a glance, their eyes gleaming with greed and anticipation. Without the slightest hesitation, they picked up tools and began frantically digging in the direction indicated by the device.

They dug up an Ancient Pokemon Gengar.

Ash was training next door when he suddenly felt a fluctuation similar to that of an Ancient Pokemon Dragonite.

The sky also showed an anomaly, giving a feeling of heaviness.

At this moment, the Ancient Pokemon Gengar was destroying the archaeological team's facilities, and it was heading down the mountain.

Even the surrounding Onix, after being attacked by it, fled, their bodies not even matching the foot of the Ancient Pokemon Gengar.

"Squirtle, summon rain!"

"Pikachu, thunderbolt!"

Squirtle shouted toward the sky.

Dark clouds quickly gathered, covering the originally clear sky, and immediately large raindrops began to pour down.

Pikachu gathered strong electrical energy throughout its body, a dazzling golden thunderbolt tore across the sky like the wrath of a heaven god, straightly blasting toward the Ancient Pokemon Gengar.

That thunderbolt carried an irresistible majesty, as if it wanted to tear space and reduce all obstacles to nothing.

Facing the sudden heavenly punishment-like lightning, the Ancient Pokemon Gengar's expression remained unchanged.

The golden thunderbolt struck it, instantly bursting with blinding light and deafening thunder; the Ancient Pokemon Gengar's body indeed swayed a few times, leaving several scorched marks on its purple body.

The effect was minimal!

But after the Ancient Pokemon Gengar paused, it launched an attack on Ash and his companions.

【Dian Ci: Pikachu's thunderbolt hardly caused any damage to the Ancient Pokemon Gengar!】

【Furong: Uh, this Ancient Pokemon Gengar's defense is really high; such a powerful thunderbolt only caused a scratch, the gap is too huge!】

【Cynthia: At this time, sending the Ancient Pokemon Dragonite's flute would be useful; the partner that Dragonite seeks should be these Ancient Pokemon Gengars.】

【Jiadelia: Right, this would solve the problem.】

With the appearance of the Ancient Pokemon Gengar, an Ancient Pokemon Ground also appeared to fight it.

Ash confirmed they were Ancient Pokemon, so he quickly summoned the Ancient Pokemon Dragonite.

The flute left by the Ancient Pokemon Dragonite came into use.

What was promised to the Ancient Pokemon Dragonite back then has finally been fulfilled!

Its companions are right here, letting it take these two fighting Ancient Pokemon away.

"Jigglypuff!"

Ash hugged Jigglypuff tightly; this guy saw the lively scene ahead and wanted to go up and sing.

"That place is dangerous, don't go sing there; if you want to sing, I'll take you back to Professor Oak's backyard later to sing!"

"Puri!"

Upon hearing that, Jigglypuff indeed didn't go.

But at that moment, an Ancient Pokemon Jigglypuff appeared, also wanting to prepare to sing.

But at that moment, the Ancient Pokemon Dragonite finally arrived.

A Dragonite normally needs about 16 hours to circle the Earth once, but the speed of the Ancient Pokemon Dragonite before us is absurdly fast.

The Ancient Pokemon Dragonite arrived and strongly stabilized the situation.

To Ash and his group, the Ancient Pokemon Dragonite seemed good-tempered, but to those three Ancient Pokemon, it was practically a big brother.

It was bigger than itself, and from that Ancient Pokemon Dragonite it felt a sense of familiarity.

"Isn't that just that huge Dragonite?"

Xiao Cilang looked at the huge shadow covering the sky, "Isn't that Dragonite the one from the lighthouse?"

Under the pressure of the Ancient Pokemon Dragonite, they ceased fire and became friendly again.

"Dragonite, long time no see!"

Dragonite also responded to Ash, feeling grateful to this boy for finally finding a companion.

After taking them away, if anything else needs help later, you can summon it with the flute!

"Xiaoguitou, there's actually such a powerful helper!"

Meowth read out the words of the Ancient Pokemon Dragonite and Ash; Musashi and Xiao Cilang's faces changed, making it even harder for them to catch Pikachu.

"Don't be afraid; if this Dragonite gets in our way, we'll grab it too and hand it over to Boss Sakaki!"

Team Rocket was fantasizing again, but they were quickly found by Ash, who still let Pikachu blast them away.

No wonder I always felt something was missing; it turns out I was missing the part of battling Team Rocket.

After settling the affair of the ancient Poké Ball, Ash started training again.

Day after day, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, the date of the Stone English Conference draws near!
