Chapter 82: Black Satoshi battles Ahong, and he really didn't hold back at all!

On the way back to the lottery site, sunlight filtered through the leaves and fell on the ground, forming dappled light and shadow.

He hooked a Magikarp, and as the staff announced, he saw on the screen the opponent he was facing.

Ash's hand trembled slightly, and his face showed an expression of surprise.

He actually drew the trainer whose Pikachu had just been snatched by Team Rocket—Ahong!

"What a coincidence?" Ash muttered, a flicker of surprise flashing in his eyes.

He looked up at Ahong, who happened to be looking at him, and their gazes met in midair.

Ash felt quite surprised, after all he had only just met Ahong not long ago and hadn't expected to be scheduled for a battle so soon.

This battle won't be easy, because Ahong's Pikachu also looks very strong, radiating fighting spirit, somewhat like his own Pikachu.

Ahong looked seriously at Ash, his eyes firm and confident, indicating he would take this battle seriously.

After all, he had personally seen how Ash's Pikachu sent Team Rocket flying. Just the power of that 100,000 Volts was enough to make him feel awe.

He had already decided that Ash was a strong opponent; even if the other's strength far surpassed his own, he still had to give it his all to challenge.

The surrounding spectators also began to chatter, all looking forward to this battle. After all, a battle between two trainers who both have Pikachu is not a common sight.

However, this time Team Rocket didn't come to cause trouble, and Ash smoothly arrived at the venue of the Quartz Conference.

The match proceeded as scheduled.

Ahong still sent out Pidgeot as his first Pokémon.

Ash directly sent out Pikachu.

Although the contestants in the previous rounds hadn't put much pressure on Ash, the schedule now is the top 16; every opponent must not be underestimated, and any trainer who has reached this stage undoubtedly possesses strong strength and deep Pokémon battle experience.

Moreover, their Pikachu had also caught Team Rocket's eye, proving that this Ahong is very strong, and not just ordinarily strong.

Having come this far, Ash had clashed with Team Rocket multiple times and gained a rough understanding of them. He knew that Team Rocket basically wouldn't snatch weak Pokémon, because such Pokémon aren't valuable to them. Therefore, he inferred that Ahong's strength must be considerable, possibly even exceeding his expectations.

With the referee's loud and clear command, the battle's horn officially sounded!

Ash immediately had Pikachu use 100,000 Volts.

Several streams of electricity burst from Pikachu's body, intertwining and converging in the air, finally forming a thick bolt of electricity that shot like angry lightning toward Ahong's Pidgeot.

Although Pidgeot also reacted quickly, flapping its wings to try to evade the deadly attack, it was ultimately a step too slow.

With a "bang," it was struck by the current; its whole body was instantly enveloped by electricity, emitting a piercing sound and dazzling light. The current ravaged Pidgeot's body, causing it to tremble continuously, and it finally collapsed helplessly to the ground, its body covered in scorched marks and burns, clearly losing its ability to fight.

A gentle breeze blew by,

the venue fell silent!

Whether the on-site spectators or the battlers Ash and Ahong, all were stunned.

They never expected that Pikachu would knock out Pidgeot with a single 100,000 Volts.

This was completely beyond everyone's expectations.

It wasn't that they thought Pikachu was too weak, but they felt that the top 16 of the Quartz Conference wouldn't be this weak, and it's rare to see a one-hit KO.

Moreover, in the previous few battles both trainers had been strong, yet now they saw a huge disparity in the two trainers' strength.

Although there is a type advantage, it's clearly visible that the electric-type move Pikachu used has great power.

Ash looked at the Pidgeot fallen on the ground, feeling a bit surprised and reflective.

Pidgeot was defeated just like that, feeling off; could it be that Ahong is hiding his strength, wanting him to let his guard down?

"Great, this is the kind of Pikachu we like!"

It turned out Team Rocket hadn't come to cause trouble; they had come to watch Ash's battle.

Seeing Pikachu's performance, they cheered with relief; as long as Pikachu puts forth the strength to fight them, the battle basically won't be lost, though if they encounter those Heavenly Kings, that's another matter.

"Sure enough, it's tricky!"

Ahong looked at Ash's Pikachu, and his face showed an unprecedented solemnity.

His second Pokémon sent out was Charmander.

Then Ash sent out Squirtle.

Facing the elimination-style battle, Ash couldn't afford to be careless; he had to win in a steady manner.

The hulking Squirtle faced the tiny Charmander!

Charmander used Ember against Squirtle, but Squirtle knocked out the ember with a single Water Gun, instantly rendering it unable to fight.

Again, it was instantly killed...

【Xiaomao: This...... I can't help but feel like I've seen this before?

Black World Ahong's fighting style resembles that of White Ash, and it's also reckless!】

【Brock: Kind of!】

【Shitron: Not only is the fighting style the same, the Pokémon are the same too; it can be said to be a copy of Ash.】

【Ash: I really hadn't noticed if you didn't mention it!】

Black World—

Black Satoshi sent out Infernape to face Ahong's Pikachu.

Seeing the opponent send out Pikachu, Infernape appeared unusually excited, eyes shining, continuously waving its powerful fists

Even if the older brother Pikachu can't beat it, that's fine, but can't you even beat you?

In daily training, Infernape can't beat Pikachu, but it's not that it's weak; it's that the older brother Pikachu is too strong.

Although it can't beat the older brother Pikachu, when facing other Pikachu, Infernape is not cowardly.

In Infernape's view, other Pikachu don't possess the overwhelming strength like its older brother's, and it is fully capable of matching them.

Most importantly, the older brother's Flash can compare to "God Speed," and its Iron Tail can compare to "Giant Beast Slash."

Other Pokémon aren't as formidable as the older brother's, so Infernape has no fear of them at all.

"Close combat!"

As soon as the Fire Monkey saw the battle begin, it shot forward like an arrow released from a bow.

Before Pikachu could react, it saw the Fire Monkey's sandbag-sized fists raining down like raindrops on its body.

Each punch carried a howling wind, embodying the Fire Monkey's full strength.

Pikachu was driven back again and again, trying to block with its claws, but the Fire Monkey's fists were too fierce for it to defend.

Finally, under a barrage of fierce attacks, Pikachu was utterly knocked flying, landing on the ground in a disheveled state.

"Pikachu has lost its fighting ability, Fire Monkey has won, so this match is won by Ash!"

The referee announced the match result.

The elders and villagers of Pallet Town happily watched Ash, as another contender entered the top eight.
