Chapter 5: I Am Gu Yue

~7 min read 1,307 words

No further accidents occurred, Huo Yuhao still moved into dormitory 108.

No one knows how long it's been vacant; dust is everywhere.

After Huo Yuhao opened the window and thoroughly cleaned it, he lay for a long time on the bed with only wooden planks, thinking about the future.

"Yuhao, that white-haired youth's body emits several kinds of aura that make me feel especially oppressive; you'd better be careful from now on." In the sea of spirit, the lazy voice of the Heavenly Dream Ice Silkworm sounded.

"I know, Heavenly Dream Ice Silkworm Brother, but there's nothing on me that he could scheme for." Huo Yuhao communicated with the Heavenly Dream Ice Silkworm using his mental power.

The Heavenly Dream Ice Silkworm, upon hearing this, stopped speaking and continued to sleep.

What Huo Yuhao said also makes sense; given his current situation, there really is nothing worth scheming for.

A few days later, Shrek Academy finished all the new student recruitment work, and the day of formal school opening arrived.

Chen Qiye put on the new students' white uniform and walked through the vibrant campus.

Today, he was about to officially enroll as a student.

Although he was living in the outer court, he didn't rely on privileges to move into dormitory 108 where Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong stayed; instead, he rented a separate room.

You say Chen Qiye has no slightest thought about Wang Dong'er; that's impossible, after all she is praised in the book by a certain Tang as a rare beauty on the continent—just that alone would make anyone have thoughts.

But Chen Qiye is very clear about the future plot. Wang Dong'er's future is a dead-end ending; even if she doesn't die in the Qiankun Asking Love Valley, that Tang Buddha Ancestor will find every way to let her die, and then let Tang Wutong return.

After all, his daughter is called Tang Wutong, not Wang Dong'er.

So Chen Qiye still left these troubles to Huo Yuhao! "Speaking of which, what would happen if I changed the plot of the Three-Eyed Golden Peng..."

……

A few days later, Shrek Academy finished all the new student recruitment work, and the day of formal school opening arrived.

In front of the white teaching building's gate, many new students in white uniforms filed in, each with a green monster symbol on the left chest symbolizing Shrek Academy.

Chen Qiye stood before the teaching building, watching the incoming and outgoing new students, and paused slightly.

He recalled the scene of the university opening in his previous life, feeling a bit nostalgic.

"Wow, look at that guy, he's so handsome!"

"Such a rare hair color, it feels like it's going to steal my soul!"

During the time Chen Qiye paused, a number of love-struck girls gathered behind him.

Because of his extraordinary looks, several girls became lovesick, their eyes constantly sparkling with little stars.

"Brother is really too handsome; wherever he goes, he'll leave a legend!" Chen Qiye noticed this scene and thought narcissistically.

He tidied his hair, walked toward the teaching building; in a small burst of screams, only a cool back view remained. Chen Qiye arrived a bit early; there weren't many people in the classroom, just a few scattered people chatting. Walking to the last row by the window, Ye Chen leaned against the chair back and began to close his eyes to rest.

As for why he came so early, the reason was simply that thinking about school triggered his subconscious biological clock to wake up automatically; a pleasant voice asked, "May I sit here?" and broke the silence in Chen Qiye's heart.

He looked up and saw a little girl wearing white pants and a white top; she appeared to be a bit younger than him.

She wasn't particularly pretty, just fresh-looking. Black long hair, black eyes. Her figure was slightly above average for her age, well-proportioned. A pair of large eyes shone brightly.

But it seemed there was a strange aura around him.

"Oh, sure." Chen Qiye replied simply.

Since she spoke up, there's no reason not to let her sit. "Hello, I'm Gu Yue!" the little girl began her self-introduction after sitting down.

Upon hearing that name, Chen Qiye instantly stood up, looking at Gu Yue in surprise and said, "You're called Gu Yue."

"What's wrong, is there a problem?" Gu Yue looked at Chen Qiye somewhat curiously.

Chen Qiye also noticed that the students' gazes in the classroom had gathered on him.

"Oh, no problem."

Chen Qiye sat down again, and the students' gazes in the classroom shifted away from him.

If the two characters "Gu Yue" were separated, there would be no problem, but together, especially in the Douluo world, it's a big issue.

Gu Yue, these two characters are none other than the early female lead of Douluo Continent III, the true master of spirit beasts, one of the two avatars of the Dragon God, the Silver Dragon King.

"But there are clearly still 10,000 years until the Douluo III era; he shouldn't be nursing injuries, right?" Ten thousand horses galloped through Chen Qiye's mind.

Gu Yue looked at Chen Qiye, who had sat down again, and asked, "You haven't told me yet, what's the problem with my name?" She really felt doubtful.

"Fellow student, I'm really sorry; I was just thinking about something else, and hearing your name made me mix up that matter, I'm really sorry!"

Chen Qiye could only explain it this way; after all, hearing that the protagonist from 10,000 years in the future would appear now, it would be strange if he weren't surprised.

"Really, that's how it's written! Well then." Gu Yue seemed to accept it; this explanation was just something Chen Qiye hadn't noticed, and actually it's full of loopholes.

"By the way, you still haven't told me your name."

"Oh, hello, I'm Chen Qiye." Chen Qiye wanted to just say that and then ignore Gu Yue.

But Gu Yue continued, "In the future we'll be classmates, please take care of me."

Gu Yue stretched out her little hand, "Okay, alright!"

Chen Qiye held Gu Yue's hand, smooth as fat and elastic; this was his first impression.

And Chen Qiye, whose brain was muddled, forgot that it was just a greeting, but why did Gu Yue want to shake hands? As time passed second by second, the originally empty classroom became lively.

Just, I don't know if it's because the students from Shrek Academy basically sat in the front; only those who came later sat in the back.

As a result, the two seats beside Chen Qiye remain empty to this day.

At that moment, the class bell rang, and Huo Yuhao rushed in together with an extremely handsome male student.

Chen Qiye immediately recognized that the handsome male student was Tang Wutong in male attire, who should now be called Wang Dong'er.

However, unlike his memory, the two entered the classroom at the same time and were almost late.

Huo Yuhao looked around and found that only two seats at the back of the classroom were empty; one was occupied by Chen Qiye slumped over the desk, and the other by a little girl he knew and one he didn't.

But before he could think further, Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong hurried to the back row and sat down; without waiting for Huo Yuhao to greet Chen Qiye, an elderly woman with chicken-skin and crane hair walked in through the door.

The elderly woman was of medium build, wearing a white robe, her gray-white hair coiled atop her head, and a pair of bright eyes scanned the surroundings, as if she were looking for something in the classroom.

"Chen Qiye!" the elderly woman shouted loudly, startling all the freshmen; the previously noisy classroom instantly fell silent.
