Chapter 75: Excellent Matching Mechanism

Ning Feiliu saw the newly appeared task, his eyes blinking beneath his mask; he hadn't expected the Soul Fighting Arena to be able to refresh new tasks.

That Sett's fighting techniques were nothing special, though in the game, Sett was very powerful.

But in the Valoran Continent, Sett was just the boss of an underground fight club.

Speaking of combat power... he might not even be as strong as Yuenan.

It seemed that because of this, the task didn't require completion in stages, but rather, by simply upgrading to a Copper Soul Fighting Badge, one could obtain the complete Sett fighting techniques.

So Sett's fighting techniques were nothing special.

But that task of one hundred consecutive wins, and then obtaining the World Rune—Presence of Mind, was different!

Relying on the Resurrection Rune Fragment, Ning Feiliu, who had successfully absorbed the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass and the Blazing Apricot Delicate, now understood very clearly just how powerful this Rune was.

And... compared to the last Resurrection Rune Fragment, this time it was a complete Rune!

This one hundred consecutive wins meant he had to win one hundred consecutive Spirit Fighting Battles, and there could not be a single loss in between.

It was just that there were no teammates in Spirit Fighting Battles, so it would match powerful opponents to you.

Even if your points reached the level to successfully advance to Copper Soul Fighting, if your points dropped below one hundred, you would be disqualified from the Copper Soul Fighting status.

In other words, if translated to the League of Legends victory point mechanism, it would be like skipping divisions directly after every victory following a ten-game winning streak.

If you defeated a stronger opponent, you would gain more points.

"This is quite difficult..." he said somewhat helplessly.

And for a winning streak exceeding ten games, each additional win adds one hundred.

The effect in the game was continuous mana regeneration, so if translated to the reality of the Douluo Continent, it should be the ability to continuously regenerate soul power!

If it were outside the Soul Fighting Arena, perhaps completing a hundred-game winning streak wouldn't be considered difficult, but inside the Soul Fighting Arena...

This was definitely a very powerful Rune!

Only...

To promote from Copper Soul Fighting to Silver Soul Fighting requires one thousand points; in battles between Copper Soul Fighting participants, each win grants ten points, and each loss also subtracts ten points.

The ratio of points gained from winning streaks is the same as for Iron Soul Fighting.

This is the truly excellent matching mechanism; it doesn't just break your winning streak, but lets those with ability leave this tier quickly and jump to a higher tier to fight.

That is to say, the Soul Fighting Arena will find ways to block your winning streak, which is actually the same as the matching mechanism in the League of Legends from his past life.

You must know that in the Spirit Fighting Battles within the Soul Fighting Arena, there is a mechanism where, after you have a winning streak, the Soul Fighting Arena will match you against opponents who are also currently on a winning streak and are of the same rank and level for the Spirit Fighting Battle.

However, this mechanism isn't purely to mess with your mentality and break your winning streak.

The complete Rune, Presence of Mind!

And the Presence of Mind Rune is very powerful indeed.

"One hundred consecutive wins..." Ning Feiliu frowned, feeling somewhat troubled.

The point mechanism of the Soul Fighting Arena is that if your winning streak exceeds five games, then for every additional consecutive win, your points will increase by ten directly.

But precisely because of this, the difficulty for Ning Feiliu to obtain one hundred consecutive wins had become very high.

It was roughly equivalent to... having to become the strongest person among the Soul Elder-level Spirit Masters in the Heaven Dou Great Spirit Arena!

And he couldn't lose a single Spirit Fighting Battle in between; if he lost one, all his efforts would be wasted.

"However... only then is it interesting." Ning Feiliu muttered to himself with some excitement, flames burning in his eyes.

Although this task is difficult, but... only then is it interesting!

And the reward of the Presence of Mind Rune is completely worthy of this challenging task!

Immediately, in the following few days, Ning Feiliu would wear a mask every morning, transform into Yafei, and come to the Soul Fighting Arena to conduct Spirit Fighting Battles.

And he displayed powerful strength, winning all the way through.

With his unique Crescent Moon Divine Weapon martial soul, his powerful strength, and his mysterious true identity, Ning Feiliu's reputation gradually began to grow in the Heaven Dou Great Spirit Arena.

On the third day, after Ning Feiliu defeated a strong enemy and completed an astonishing fifteen-game winning streak without a single loss to advance to the Copper Soul Fighting Badge, it made him famous throughout Heaven Dou City.

More and more people became curious about what Ning Feiliu's true identity was and why he wanted to hide his true identity.

And the major powers, seeing an unidentified genius Spirit Master, were also restless, wanting to recruit him under their command.

However, the person who appeared next made them instantly dismiss their inner thoughts...

After obtaining twenty consecutive wins, the handsome face beneath Ning Feiliu's mask was somewhat pale.

As the winning streak continued, the opponents he encountered became increasingly powerful, and some were even level 39 Quasi-Soul Ancestors.

Although it wasn't a difference of a major rank in soul power, Ning Feiliu gradually felt some pressure when facing opponents with soul power six levels higher than his own.

Their speed, strength, and attacks were all faster than Ning Feiliu's, and they could also resist the effects of Ning Feiliu's soul skills by relying on the gap in soul power levels.

Especially the gravity control effect of the Crescent Moon Divine Weapon, which was basically difficult to be effective when dealing with these Spirit Masters whose soul power levels were higher than Ning Feiliu's.

This was the limit of the Crescent Moon Divine Weapon; among the five Crescent Moon Divine Weapons, it was the one with the weakest attack and special abilities.

This almost forced Ning Feiliu to use Exploding Ring to unleash the 【Summoning of the God of Casting】 and 【Summoning of the God of Ice and Snow】.

But he ultimately held back and managed to win the Spirit Fighting Battle with difficulty.

At the same time, during these few days of Spirit Fighting Battles, he also made some attempts, although he failed.

But he roughly knew the reason why he failed.

Ning Feiliu walked off the Douhun Platform, and under the gaze of everyone, he slowly left the Heaven Dou Great Spirit Arena as usual.

"Go quickly." A dignitary of Heaven Dou City immediately ordered the family experts beside him, "It is time to contact this mysterious Mr. Yafei and ask him if he is willing to be used by our Xu Family."

"Yes." Those few experts revealing the aura of a Soul King nodded and replied immediately.

In the world of Spirit Masters, geniuses and the strong are the most sought after; after all, if you possess powerful strength, you can possess everything.

The reason why the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect is so wealthy is not primarily because of the powerful treasure-appraising ability possessed by their Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda martial soul.

It is because of the two Title Douluo who sit in their sect—Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo!

Otherwise, no matter how strong the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect's ability to appraise treasures is, or how good their business acumen, they would be nothing more than a giant wallet waiting to be slaughtered.

Therefore, many noble families are very willing to extend an olive branch to those genius Spirit Masters born as commoners.

Now, the talent and combat power that Ning Feiliu has displayed have also stirred the hearts of these noble families within Heaven Dou City.
