Chapter 3: The Old Witch Who Lost Her Composure
My name is Zhou Yi, I am your homeroom teacher. I'm not sure how many of you can follow me through the coming year, but I want to tell you this: in my class, no trash can possibly pass the assessment. What I want to cultivate are monsters, not idiots.
Hearing Zhou Yi's words, the students in the class all showed indignant looks; those who could pass the enrollment assessment of Slake Academy were each the brightest youths of their villages, yet in Zhou Yi's mouth they were called trash, idiots.
"Since registration these past few days, those who have fought, stand up." Zhou Yi said.
Swish
Wang Dong and Su Yun Tian stood up.
The other students in the class were filled with disbelief.
You know, they're all newcomers; how could they possibly fight as soon as they arrived?
They never imagined that Su Yun Tian and Wang Dong would fight.
After all, both are handsome, especially Su Yun Tian, whose appearance is refined and whose mouth always bears a gentle smile; he doesn't look like someone who likes to fight at all.
"Just two?" Zhou Yi raised her eyebrows, "What a bunch of good-for-nothings. Don't you know that not daring to cause trouble is the mark of a mediocrity? Aside from those two, everyone else, get out and run a hundred laps around Shrek Plaza. Anyone who doesn't finish will be expelled directly."
As soon as she said that, the whole class erupted in an uproar; it was only the first day of school, lessons hadn't even started, yet they were to be punished for not having fought—who could accept that?
Immediately, a student stood up and said, "Teacher, I object. Why should we be punished for not fighting?"
"You object?" Zhou Yi glanced at that person with a calm expression, and a terrifying aura erupted from her body, pressing everyone present so they could barely breathe.
At the same time, two yellow, two purple, and two black soul rings appeared behind her.
Soul Emperor!
Now those people dared not speak further, and they all ran out.
"You two aren't bad." Zhou Yi looked at Su Yun Tian and the other, showing a smile uglier than crying.
"Tell me, why did you fight?"
Wang Dong was about to speak, saying Su Yun Tian had bullied her, but Su Yun Tian beat him to it: "Teacher, we're roommates; we fought over a minor disagreement."
"Still roommates." Zhou Yi's face twitched, "Not bad, alright, you two go run as well."
Wang Dong blinked, somewhat puzzled, and said, "Teacher Zhou, do we have to run too?"
"Of course." Zhou Yi said expressionlessly, "I never said you didn't have to run. Just a reminder: you only have one hour; by now they should have run several laps. If you can't finish, you'll be expelled as well."
Wang Dong still wanted to say something, but Su Yun Tian quickly pulled him and they ran out.
"Hey, what are you doing?!"
"Wang Dong, that old hag will really expel you; we're weak now, better not provoke her."
Su Yun Tian replied without turning back.
At that moment, on the field, dozens of freshmen were already running, and the two joined the running crowd.
However, in terms of soul power level, martial soul, or physical fitness, the two were top-notch among their peers.
Even if they fell behind a few laps, they still steadily held first and second place.
All the students completed the hundred laps within the allotted time, then stood loosely on Shrek Plaza.
Zhou Yi expressionlessly turned to the students and lightly said, "Those whose names I call, step forward: Cheng Cheng, Qiu Jianhao, Tang Dao, Shangguan Chentian, Lin Zeyu, Zhuge Yun, Tai Long, Tang Ling, Yun Xiao Piao."
Altogether nine people had their names called by her. The students obviously hadn't expected that, having never introduced themselves, Zhou Yi could actually call out the names of those nine off the top of her head.
The students called stepped out leisurely.
Zhou Yi lightly said, "You nine can go back to pack your luggage and leave the academy. From this moment on, you are no longer students of Slake Academy."
"Ah?" The nine who had just finished running, their bodies still fatigued, were suddenly shocked; the other students erupted in an even greater uproar.
"Teacher, why?" shouted Tai Long, a tall, powerfully built youth, his face full of anger. Among those who had just finished the laps, he was still in the first batch, one of the earliest to finish.
"Tai Long, you did indeed complete a hundred laps, but tell me, were you really running the whole way?"
Zhou Yi said expressionlessly.
Tai Long was momentarily speechless.
Since Zhou Yi hadn't arrived earlier, he had slacked off and skipped a few laps.
"The nine whose names were called all got there by cutting corners; Slake Academy doesn't need people like you!" Zhou Yi's voice ice-cold, "Get lost—provoke me again and I'll ruin your martial souls."
Watching this scene, Su Yun Tian smirked coldly inside.
She's really arrogant; if her husband weren't Fan Yu, this old hag would have been expelled many times over by now.
And once she were expelled, she would face endless retaliation.
After all, over the years Zhou Yi has expelled far too many people.
Among those people, naturally there were children of influential families, but they dared not act, constrained by Shrek's strength.
Thinking that, he stepped forward.
"Teacher Zhou, expelling these students over some trivial matters—isn't that a bit too much?"
He didn't think the academy would really expel him given his talent.
At most it would just be changing classes, which he actually had in mind anyway.
Without Huo Yuhao in Class One, he couldn't seize the luck value, and that wouldn't do.
The nine who had been expelled hadn't gone far before they too stopped and looked on.
Wang Dong blinked, hurried forward, tugged at his sleeve, and whispered, "What are you doing? Provoking her now—do you also want to be expelled?"
Su Yun Tian paid no heed, merely continuing to stare at Zhou Yi.
Zhou Yi also hadn't expected anyone to dare oppose her, and she suddenly laughed: "Su Yun Tian, you're a student personally brought by the Dean of the Language Department; perhaps you have some background—I can't expel you, but as homeroom teacher I have the authority to move you out of Class One."
"Alright." Su Yun Tian nodded and continued, "But I want to remind you, Teacher Zhou, that heaven sees what people do—be careful lest you suffer retaliation one day when you go out."
As soon as the words fell, Zhou Yi's face instantly darkened.
"You're threatening me? I'm a teacher of Shrek—who would dare lay a hand on me?"
Su Yun Tian said nothing, merely shaking his head lightly and falling silent.
"Then I'll leave with Su Yun Tian." Wang Dong blurted out, his head heating up.
"Alright, brotherly affection, huh? Fine, then you all get out of the class!" Zhou Yi's tone was icy, carrying an unmistakable edge.
"Let's go." Wang Dong, breathing heavily, grabbed Su Yun Tian's hand and rushed straight for the Director of Instruction's Office.
If the academy didn't give him an explanation, he would definitely have his big dad and second dad come to the academy to demand an answer!
"I'm so angry, I'm so angry!" After the two left, Zhou Yi's face twisted viciously, and they shouted at the nine expelled students: "What are you looking at! Get out! Otherwise I'll nullify your martial soul!"
However, the nine at that moment were not frightened at all; after giving a glare back, they also sprinted toward the Director of Instruction's Office.
