Chapter 439: The Battle of the Beast Kings: Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon VS Blazing Lion

"Your Excellency Thunder, I have done everything I could; the rest is left to you." Nan Tianchen walked up to Yu Yuanzhen and said, handing him the item in his hand.

"Nan Tianchen, I must apologize to you." Yu Yuanzhen took the item that Nan Tianchen had risked his life to obtain and said sincerely, "I once thought you were just a man who lived off his wife, standing behind his son and woman, capable only of talk and not action. But when you said just now that anyone who stops you from fighting will be treated as a traitor, I became certain that you are a person of substance."

"Hehe, Your Excellency Thunder, do not mind it. That is how I am perceived by the world, and I am used to it." Nan Tianchen smiled calmly; this composed temperament made Yu Yuanzhen admire him even more.

"Your Excellency Thunder, as long as you strive to win the next match, you will be the hero of my Gu Lei Kingdom."

"As you command, Your Majesty!" Yu Yuanzhen replied. This was the first time he had called Nan Tianchen "Your Majesty" in front of everyone, which also meant he had completely acknowledged him; from now on, he was Nan Tianchen's subordinate and a person of the Gu Lei Kingdom.

Yu Yuanzhen took a step forward, and at this moment, Nan Tianchen could no longer hold himself up; his figure swayed as if he were about to fall.

The previous battle had completely exhausted his physical strength and soul power.

Just then, a hand from both his left and right sides supported his swaying body; on the left was his wife Lan Xue, and on the right was his son Nan Feihuang.

"My wife, my son, did I do quite well this time?" Nan Tianchen asked with a smile.

"Of course, Father. With your efforts, we are sure to win this time," Nan Feihuang said confidently. With that item, Yu Yuanzhen's strength would surely be exerted exponentially.

Thus, with the strength of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon among Beast Spirits, even facing a Level 97 Lion Douluo, the chances of winning were extremely high.

Nan Feihuang had never doubted Yu Yuanzhen's combat ability.

That was a terrifying figure who, in the original story, fought four people at once, managing to injure three and kill one. Not long ago, he had fought three people at once, killing one and injuring two while remaining almost unscathed.

The Lion Douluo stepped out from among the Offerings and looked at Yu Yuanzhen, saying, "Old Dragon, your Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Family has chosen the Gu Lei Kingdom, is that right?"

"The enemy of an enemy is a friend. Besides, we are already in-laws," Yu Yuanzhen said without hesitation. "My clan and the Gu Lei Kingdom were both inexplicably attacked by your Spirit Hall one after another. This debt, I will surely remember forever."

His eyes were filled with hatred, the immense resentment stemming from the one thousand lives of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Family.

Even if Yu Yuanzhen knew that it was impossible to wipe out the Spirit Hall entirely, in the future, he would certainly kill as many as he could—killing a thousand would break even, and any more would be a profit.

"Hmph, you are merely weaklings huddling together for warmth," the Lion Douluo said coldly. "Ants gathered together are still ants!"

If it weren't for the fact that these two forces combined still couldn't defeat the Spirit Hall, why would they need to use this strategy of winning three out of five matches, like Tian Ji's horse racing, to buy five years of time from the Spirit Hall today?

"Today, I will show you who the real ants are." Thunder crackled all over Yu Yuanzhen's body, and the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon martial soul emerged behind him.

Opposite him, the Blazing Lion appeared simultaneously, glaring at the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon and roaring without backing down.

This Blazing Lion was known as the King of Beasts and could control other Beast Spirits, but Yu Yuanzhen had never accepted this; in his view, only the dragon was the true king among beasts.

However, due to the gap in soul power, the aura of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon was actually slightly inferior to the opponent's.

"Hmph, a mere Level 95—what?" The Lion Douluo was just about to act arrogantly when he suddenly saw his opponent's soul power begin to expand rapidly, actually allowing the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon to stand on equal footing with his Lion martial soul.

"Level 96? Yu Yuanzhen, you have reached Level 96?"

"I have your Spirit Hall's gift to thank for this," Yu Yuanzhen said angrily. "As the head of a clan, you made me watch a full thousand of my clansmen perish before my eyes. My sorrow, fused with the anger of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, is what allowed me to take a step further. This is power born from hatred; you should taste it well." Having said this, Yu Yuanzhen struck first. Without using any petty tricks, he entered the Spirit Avatar state right from the start.

This was Yu Yuanzhen's fighting style. Unlike the previous few, he did not know what observation or probing was; his way of fighting was to exert his full strength from the very beginning, defeating the enemy in one go with the strongest and most ferocious posture.

"As rumored, you are a crazy guy. But do you think I would be afraid of you? So what if you broke through? You are still one level lower than me." The Lion Douluo was also on high alert at this moment. Although he remained disdainful in his words, he knew in his heart that a Level 96 Yu Yuanzhen was not someone he could underestimate.

"Seventh Soul Skill: Martial Soul Avatar!"

The Lion Douluo's entire body transformed into a massive Blazing Lion, and he opened his mouth to spit out a fierce stream of fire.

The power of this fire alone was no less than the sum of all the fire-attribute Formations Nan Tianchen had just used, showing the strength of a Level 97 Super Douluo.

"Thunder Dragon Claw!" Yu Yuanzhen tore through the flames with one claw, then his Fourth Soul Ring lit up. "Fourth Soul Skill: Thunder Four-Fold Strike!"

This was a soul skill that released lightning in all directions with himself as the center, forming a large-scale attack with a paralysis effect.

"Fifth Soul Skill: Blazing Barrier."

Fire-attribute Spirit Masters seemed very adept at turning such offensive attributes into defensive shields; this Blazing Barrier was the Lion Douluo's signature defensive skill.

Although it could not block the 100,000-year soul skill "Moon of the Nine Heavens" used by a Level 96 Xiao Wu in the anime, it had no problem blocking a mere Fourth Soul Skill from Yu Yuanzhen at this moment.

Yu Yuanzhen's thunder was completely blocked outside the flames.

"Thunder's Fury!" Yu Yuanzhen let out an angry roar, followed by a punch that shattered the flame shield. He activated this soul skill, which put him in a berserk state for a certain period, increasing his lightning power by 100% and his soul power by 50%. If he did not voluntarily stop the skill, it would last until his soul power was exhausted.

It seemed Yu Yuanzhen did not intend to fight a war of attrition with the opponent, but rather adopted a strategy of a quick battle to force a quick decision.

"You want to defeat me quickly? You are dreaming! Sixth Soul Skill: Unrivaled by the Multitude!" The Lion Douluo's Sixth Soul Skill was a heavy punch with enough power to crack the earth.

Generally speaking, this punch should be avoided.

But this time, Yu Yuanzhen chose to take it head-on.

"Dragon Claw Longzhua Longhua Ji, Dragon's Anger; Dragon Wing Longhua Ji, Dragon Might!"

Risking severe injury to enter the Dragon Transformation state, Yu Yuanzhen used two Dragon Transformation skills simultaneously.

Dragon's Anger: His own attack power and lightning power are both increased by 100%.

Dragon Might: Increases his own lightning power by 100%; possessing wings increases it by 200%. At the same time, he releases a large amount of lightning that shoots into the sky, controlling it to fall from the air to attack the opponent. During the descent, this lightning aggregates to form a massive pillar of thunder to strike the enemy with great force—a large-scale attack skill with a paralysis effect.

Yu Yuanzhen had, of course, already completed his wing Dragon Transformation. Combined with the previous "Thunder's Fury," these three enhancement skills meant that not only was Yu Yuanzhen's attack power increased by 150%, but his current lightning power was four times that of his Spirit Avatar state.

The entire sky was suddenly covered in dark clouds, as if all the lightning of the Douluo Continent had been drawn to him.
