Chapter 5: Xue Qinghe? A chance encounter, why ask so much
One week later.
Hunting Forest.
A middle-aged man stepped down from a carriage with a six-year-old boy.
As soon as the two stepped off the carriage, the middle-aged man began pointing around, introducing the situation here to the boy.
"This is the Hunting Forest; it contains all kinds of Soul Beasts, poisonous insects..."
"The strongest Soul Beasts inside are only thousand-year Soul Beasts, but they all have their own territories; as long as we don't get close, there will be no trouble."
The middle-aged man spoke slowly and confidently, appearing very familiar with the Hunting Forest.
The boy was left dazed and bewildered by this performance.
It was also at this moment that Zhexian walked out from inside.
His expression was indifferent, his steps light, and his robes fluttered, as if he were an immortal who had stepped out of a painting.
The surrounding guards saw him and lowered their heads one after another; such an extraordinary and refined temperament must belong to some great figure!
Zhexian stood where he was, his gaze happening to meet the boy's for a moment, before he looked away after a brief thought.
That child from six years ago?
This child has the bloodline of that hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor flowing through him; although it has not fully awakened, it will be of great use in the future!
The middle-aged man dug into his pocket and handed a token to the guard watching the entrance of the Hunting Forest.
Afterward, they brushed past Zhexian, and the boy could not help but turn his head to look a few more times, his eyes filled with amazement and curiosity.
"Teacher, that person... is so special..." the boy said in a low voice.
The middle-aged man also could not help but look back, then shook his head and said disdainfully, "Xiao San, these young nobles are all arrogant and despotic; do not be deceived by appearances."
After the two left, the guards could not help but whisper, their tone carrying a hint of mockery and disdain.
"That guy seems to be that so-called Grandmaster from the Nuoding Junior Academy, right?"
"Bringing a student here all by himself with that pig-like martial soul, is his brain flooded with water?"
"Haha, never mind him; it has nothing to do with us anyway."
"It's just a pity for that child; looking that dark, he clearly comes from a hard life in the countryside."
"Tsk tsk tsk, it's truly unfortunate to end up with such a teacher!"
"It seems your child has found an unreliable teacher."
Zhexian murmured softly to himself, then held his Jade Flute and walked slowly toward the city.
From beginning to end, his gaze remained as calm as water, as if nothing in this world could stir a ripple in him.
Just at this moment, the sound of horse hooves came from afar, followed by a magnificent royal carriage slowly driving over.
The carriage stopped at the entrance of the Hunting Forest, the door opened, and a delicate-looking man stepped down.
He wore luxurious Crown Prince attire, his brows carrying a hint of majesty and refinement; he was none other than the Crown Prince of the Heaven Dou Empire—Xue Qinghe.
"Greetings, Your Highness the Crown Prince!"
"Greetings, Your Highness the Crown Prince!"
"Greetings, Your Highness the Crown Prince!"
The guards at the entrance knelt down one after another; they never expected that the Crown Prince would actually appear here.
Xue Qinghe's gaze swept around the area, finally landing on Zhexian.
His eyes narrowed slightly, and his heart could not help but tremble.
"Is this... the person with the transcendent temperament they spoke of?" Xue Qinghe thought to himself.
A few days ago, he received news that a Title Douluo wielding a hammer had appeared near Nuoding City, frantically hunting down a man of peerless appearance.
After the news spread, almost everyone praised that man's appearance, with some even calling him a "deity descended to earth."
Xue Qinghe had originally dismissed this, thinking it was just exaggerated rumor, but seeing Zhexian in person now, he understood that those rumors were not false.
Zhexian's appearance was indeed impeccable, and could even be described as "perfect." His temperament was even more extraordinary, as if he did not belong to this world.
As the Crown Prince of the Heaven Dou Empire, Xue Qinghe had seen countless outstanding individuals, but no one had ever given him such a powerful shock.
Xue Qinghe took a deep breath, suppressed the turbulence in his heart, walked slowly toward Zhexian, and bowed slightly, saying, "This young master, may I ask for your honorable name?"
Zhexian stopped his steps, glanced at Xue Qinghe indifferently, his tone calm and distant: "A chance encounter, why ask so much."
Xue Qinghe smiled slightly, not angered by Zhexian's coldness, but instead said even more respectfully, "Young master has an extraordinary bearing; you must not be an ordinary person. I am Xue Qinghe, Crown Prince of the Heaven Dou Empire. If I have caused any offense, please forgive me."
Upon hearing this, a faint ripple flashed in Zhexian's eyes, but he quickly returned to calm.
He chuckled slightly, holding his Jade Flute, and said indifferently: "The Crown Prince of the Heaven Dou Empire? My apologies."
Xue Qinghe smiled slightly, his gaze filled with a hint of sincerity and anticipation: "Young master has an extraordinary bearing; if you could enter the palace, you would surely add luster to my Heaven Dou Empire. I wonder what young master thinks?"
Upon hearing this, a faint smile flashed in Zhexian's eyes, as if he were not surprised by Xue Qinghe's invitation. He shook his head gently, his voice still calm and indifferent: "Regarding what the Crown Prince has said, if there is an opportunity in the future, I shall pay a visit."
Upon hearing this, a flash of disappointment crossed Xue Qinghe's eyes, but he quickly returned to calm. He nodded slightly, his tone still gentle: "Since young master is unwilling, Qinghe will not force it. However, if young master has time in the future, you are welcome to visit the Tiandou Huanggong at any time; Qinghe will certainly treat you with courtesy."
Zhexian nodded slightly in response.
His gaze swept over the carriage behind Xue Qinghe, then he turned and left, his steps still light and composed, as if the conversation just now were merely passing smoke.
Xue Qinghe watched Zhexian's back as he walked further and further away, yet his heart could not remain calm for a long time.
He had never seen such an extraordinary person; Zhexian's temperament and appearance seemed branded into his mind, unable to be wiped away.
"He didn't seem to say his name?" Xue Qinghe frowned, his mood somewhat restless.
The Pufferfish Douluo and Snake Spear Douluo, hidden in the shadows, looked at each other, their eyes full of doubt and vigilance.
"What is wrong with the Young Master? Why is he so polite to a stranger?" the Pufferfish Douluo said in a low voice, his tone carrying a hint of confusion.
The Snake Spear Douluo shook his head, his brows locked tight: "That kid is not simple; I cannot see through his cultivation at all. The Young Master has always been cautious; why would he warmly invite a stranger?"
Pufferfish Douluo gave a cold snort: "Regardless of anything else, the Young Master's safety is the most important. We must keep a close eye on that brat; we absolutely cannot let him pose a threat to the Young Master."
Serpent Spear Douluo nodded, his gaze once again cast toward the direction in which Zhexian had departed, a trace of coldness flashing in his eyes.
At the same time, Zhexian had already walked out of the range of the Hunting Forest.
"That woman just now... is quite an interesting person." Zhexian whispered to himself, his voice like flowing clear spring water, carrying a hint of laziness and indifference.
