Chapter 22: Kicked the Iron Plate
After leaving the Breaking Clan, Yu Tianyun looked forward to the future with anticipation, rushing nonstop toward the Tian Dou Royal Academy.
Finally, after another month, Yu Tianyun arrived at his destination—the Tian Dou Royal Academy. The entire academy lay outside Tian Dou Royal City, covering a vast area that encompassed an entire mountain. It was now evening, and in the glow of the setting sun, whether the lake at the mountain's base or the forested slopes covered in myriad plants, the thousand‑meter‑high mountain gave a feeling of tranquility and peace.
"Hey, who are you? Do you know what place this is?" Just then, a voice out of place suddenly rang out from beside the road.
Yu Tianyun's gaze involuntarily drifted that way, and he saw several richly dressed noble youths walking slowly toward him. Each face was full of wanton arrogance, as if the words "I am a spoiled brat" were written on them. Seeing these people, Yu Tianyun blinked in surprise—could it really be such a coincidence? He had just run into that spoiled brat Xue Collapse, and he chose to ignore him, not wanting to stir up trouble.
However, things did not develop as smoothly as he had imagined.
Xue Collapse wore splendid robes, yet his frivolous, arrogant nature shone through. He glanced sideways, sizing up Yu Tianyun from head to toe, a disdainful curl on his lips: "Where did this brat come from, daring to swagger before this prince?"
Yu Tianyun frowned slightly—he hadn't expected it to really be that spoiled brat Xue Collapse, that good-for-nothing prince who lived the act. Wanting no trouble, he said calmly, "Move aside, don't block the way."
"Yo, you're pretty bold! Teach him a lesson, let him know the proper conduct before this prince!" Xue Collapse ordered.
His lackeys immediately howled like wolves and charged forward: "Kid, dare to disrespect the prince? See if we don't tear you apart!"
Yu Tianyun's eyes turned icy in an instant. Since that was the case, he would give him a lesson he would never forget, letting him know what it means to kick an iron plate—pretending to be a spoiled brat requires opening one's eyes. In a flash, his form like a ghost dodged the first attacker's strike. The man lunged at empty air, almost falling flat on his face.
"You think you can teach me a lesson?" Yu Tianyun snorted coldly, turned sideways, and his right leg shot up like lightning, a fierce flying kick landing solidly on the man's chest. With a "crack," several of his ribs seemed to break; he screamed like a cannonball, flew away, and slammed heavily into the ground, kicking up dust.
Immediately after, two more came from left and right to flank him, but Yu Tianyun showed no panic. He clenched his fists, muscles tensing instantly; he swept his left arm to block the left attacker's punch, while his right arm lashed out with thunderous speed, smashing straight into the right attacker's face. The man's nose instantly sprayed blood, and he staggered like a drunk before collapsing.
"Ah!" "Ouch!" "Don't come over!" Cries of pain rose and fell.
But the remaining lackeys did not retreat at the sight of their companions' misery; instead they grew even more frenzied and lunged forward. A flicker of disdain passed through Yu Tianyun's eyes; his steps were light and agile, as if he were a warrior dancing on the battlefield. Every punch, every kick, carried a whooshing wind and tremendous power.
One thug tried to sneak attack from behind, but Yu Tianyun seemed to have eyes in the back of his head, delivering a fierce backward kick that struck the man's jaw, knocking out several teeth; the man flipped in the air and crashed heavily to the ground, unable to get up.
Another, tall and burly, swung a thick wooden club at Yu Tianyun's head; he sidestepped easily, grabbed the club, and yanked it forward, throwing the man off balance. Yu Tianyun raised his knee and drove it hard into the man's gut, causing him to double over like a cooked shrimp, groaning in pain.
At this moment, Yu Tianyun exuded a chilling aura; his movements were swift and precise, giving the foes no chance to catch their breath. Seeing this, Xue Collapse's face turned deathly pale: "Trash, a bunch of trash!"
He turned in terror to flee, but Yu Tianyun stepped forward in a flash and seized his collar.
"You want to run? Not so easy!" Yu Tianyun glared angrily.
Xue Collapse still tried to act tough: "You dare touch me? I'll make sure you have no place to bury yourself!"
Yu Tianyun's anger flared; he launched a kick that struck squarely at Xue Collapse's groin. Xue Collapse let out a pig‑like scream, clutched his groin and collapsed, writhing in pain. If not treated promptly, that kick could rob him of his manhood.
Yu Tianyun slowly approached Xue Collapse, lifted his right foot, and pressed it onto the man's vital point through his covering hand, twisting it hard. Amid Xue Collapse's ever‑louder anguished howls, he taunted: "Looking for trouble with me? Right, I forgot to introduce myself—I'm Yu Tianyun of the Lan Dian Ba Wang Sect. I'm really afraid of your revenge!"
Having said that, he kicked Xue Collapse flying; he landed on the ground and rolled over ten or so times before stopping, his whole body trembling like chaff in a sieve. Soon a pale yellow fluid seeped onto the ground, and a strong, foul odor spread on the breeze.
Yu Tianyun no longer paid attention to that worthless prince; he had already given him a lesson he would not forget. As for why he had struck so hard, in his own words: "I, Yu Tianyun, hate two things in life above all: lecherous people, and those who prevent me from being lecherous!" Revealing his identity was also to avoid future trouble, and with that he lifted his feet and walked slowly into the academy.
On the other side, Xue Collapse lay on the ground, panting heavily, his eyes filled with fear and hatred. When he heard that Yu Tianyun came from the Lan Dian Ba Wang Sect, the revenge that had just risen in his heart was instantly doused with cold water.
He well knew the might of the Lan Dian Ba Wang Sect—a sect with deep foundations and great power, whose standing on the Douluo Continent was of utmost importance. Though he was a prince, before that sect he felt utterly insignificant.
He couldn't help but regret his rashness and arrogance; it was just his usual act, yet somehow he had provoked this great Buddha. Not to mention revenge—if his father learned of this, he might even be forced to take him to apologize to Yu Tianyun.
If the Lan Dian Ba Wang Sect really pursued the matter, not only would his hopes for the throne be dashed, but even his life might be in jeopardy.
At that moment, his heart was filled with fear and helplessness; all he wished was to flee this place of right and wrong as soon as possible, and thereafter avoid anything related to the Lan Dian Ba Wang Sect as much as he could. As he thought, cold sweat kept trickling down his forehead, and his body trembled even more from excessive tension and heart‑rending pain.
After entering the Tian Dou Royal Academy, Yu Tianyun politely asked a noble female student where his elder brother Yu Tianheng was; after she bashfully told him, he followed the academy's bluestone path, passed through patches of lush woods, and finally found his older brother Yu Tianheng.
