Chapter 152: Side Effects of Special Bloodlines

Because of this incident with the Titan blood, Jerry must consider many factors in the future when refining pills to enhance bloodlines.

However, this can also be considered as having gained experience; for pills refined from certain special bloodlines, the user must also choose carefully.

Some relatively docile Soul Beasts also have docile bloodlines, and pills refined from the blood of such Soul Beasts are easier to absorb when consumed. But for blood containing the Titan Bloodline, the genes are inherently aggressive, so there are many requirements for the user.

After all, there are only a few types of pills currently being refined to enhance bloodlines, among which the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox and the Emerald Swan are considered relatively docile; more pills will need to be refined in the future to perfect this category of bloodline-enhancing pills.

The pills Jerry is currently developing are not just for Soul Beasts to consume; more importantly, they are to enhance the bloodlines of Spirit Masters, thereby improving their martial souls so that the martial souls can undergo Spirit Evolution.

With the experience from the current three types of bloodline-enhancing pills, Jerry feels he can now attempt to create some pills to enhance the martial souls of Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing.

Xiao Wu's martial soul is the Soft Bone Charm Rabbit; this type of Soul Beast is very common in the Star Dou Great Forest and other places, but those with high-level bloodlines capable of cultivating to higher levels are very rare.

As for rabbit-type Soul Beasts, many were found in the records of the Elder Hall, such as: the Residual Maple Poison-Purifying Rabbit, the Nine-Star Orange Fighting Rabbit, the Roaring Tin-Rain Rabbit, the Hundred-Embroidered Fierce-Quiet Rabbit, the Void Vermilion-Sense Rabbit, the Profound Cloth Orange-Driving Rabbit, the Unrivaled Red-Drinking Rabbit, the Dragon Palace Stone-Devouring Rabbit, and so on.

The Soul Beasts that could be recorded in the Elder Hall's archives were all very powerful Soul Beasts.

However, the time span of these materials is very long, and many geographical locations have changed, making them not easy to find; furthermore, it often happens that many Soul Beasts are driven to extinction by other Soul Beasts during their natural growth process.

Jerry checked the information on the Nine-Star Orange Fighting Rabbit and felt it had many similarities with the Soft Bone Charm Rabbit; if his deduction was not wrong, the Soft Bone Charm Rabbit should be a product of the degradation of the Nine-Star Orange Fighting Rabbit's bloodline.

The Elder Hall's records state: the Nine-Star Orange Fighting Rabbit has nine stars in its pupils; those who meet its gaze have their minds confused and become intoxicated and unable to wake. Its appearance is cute; when still, it resembles an orange cat, and when moving, it is like lightning. It loves to fight, and when irritable, it can also stand and is skilled in leg techniques.

Looking again at Xiao Wu's Soft Bone Charm Rabbit, it can release charm skills through its eyes, its appearance is cute, it is very docile when quiet, it is very fast when moving, and it has Teleportation. Moreover, it also likes to fight, with the leg technique Eight-Stage Slam.

The more Jerry looked, the more he felt the two were too similar; the more he looked, the more he felt the Soft Bone Charm Rabbit was a degraded version of the Nine-Star Orange Fighting Rabbit.

If the deduction is true, the potential of the Soft Bone Charm Rabbit is very high. Jerry remembers the Fairy Queen once saying that in the past, the more powerful a Soul Beast was, the more severely it was suppressed; many have now become delicacies on human dining tables.

Soft Bone Charm Rabbit, dining table delicacy—it really is!

Jerry found Xiao Wu, and after telling her about these things, Xiao Wu was also very surprised.

"Xiao Wu, come, let Brother draw some blood!" Jerry said.

"What for? Brother, you actually want to draw my blood; you are too hateful!" Xiao Wu said.

"What are you talking about? I'm drawing some of your blood to prepare to refine bloodline-enhancing pills, to see if we can further improve your bloodline."

"So that's it! You should have said so earlier! Then draw a little less, okay? I heard you often draw Hu Liena's blood, and every time you draw a large tube."

"I'll just draw a little bit, just for an experiment. I'm telling you, Xiao Wu, don't be so nervous. I'm serious, drawing a little blood won't do any harm to your body."

"Alright then! But Brother, you've been outside for this period of time and haven't cared about us at all; you don't care about us anymore." Xiao Wu stared at Jerry with worried eyes and said.

"Haha, Xiao Wu, isn't it just that I've been busier lately? Many things need to be done personally; there's no way around it. It's too hard to find someone to share the burden now. You know, once I get busy, I forget everything."

"And the ultimate goal of my research during this period is Spirit Evolution. Among us, except for Qian Renxue's martial soul, which is a God-tier Spirit, the others are at most Advanced Spirits, so I want to try to let everyone's martial souls evolve into God-tier Spirits. Even if they can't evolve into God-tier Spirits, they must evolve into Top-tier Spirits."

"Brother, you have so many excuses. You used to take me everywhere you went, but now you don't take me, and you even make me go learn to make Soul Guidance Devices; it's so boring!"

"Xiao Wu, I'm sorry, I will pay attention in the future. I should be done with being busy in a few days, and then I'll take you all out to have fun!" Jerry said apologetically.

"Alright then! I'll believe you this time. Brother, I really don't want to learn about Soul Guidance Devices anymore; it's too boring! You go tell Master!" Xiao Wu pulled Jerry's arm and said coquettishly.

"Xiao Wu, many people want to learn but lack the talent, yet you have the talent but don't want to learn. But it's okay, if you don't want to learn, then we won't learn. With me here, do you still need to learn? I'll go tell Master when I go back."

"Thank you, Brother! I knew Brother is the best! Then you go get busy, I'm going to Cultivation!" After saying this, Xiao Wu left without looking back.

Jerry suddenly felt as if he had been tricked. Xiao Wu just didn't want to learn how to make Soul Guidance Devices anymore and was watched by Master every day, so she found an excuse to let Jerry go beg Master to let her stop learning.

Xiao Wu, you aren't innocent anymore; you are no longer the Xiao Wu I knew before. Sigh, who did Xiao Wu learn this from? One trick after another. But since he promised Xiao Wu, he would go tell Master.

Afterward, after Jerry spoke with Master, Master also agreed. Mainly, Xiao Wu's temperament was too restless, and making Soul Guidance Devices was a very dull process, which did not fit Xiao Wu's personality.

Then Jerry took Xiao Wu's blood and started refining pills. Of course, it was not the ultimate pill, but a pill that had been diluted many times.

If Xiao Wu really had the bloodline of the Nine-Star Orange Fighting Rabbit, it would inevitably be a very special bloodline, and the side effects were not yet certain, so he would first refine diluted pills; even if there were side effects, they would not be very intense.

Furthermore, Jerry discovered that the younger the Soul Beast, the better the effect of absorbing bloodline-enhancing pills. As the Soul Beast grows up, the bloodline seems to be fixed, and it becomes very difficult to improve.

The Soft Bone Charm Rabbit is not hard to find; Wuhun City now has artificial breeding.

Wuhun City now has too large a population, so the consumption of food is also huge. With the continuous expansion of Wuhun City, many fields have been requisitioned.

Now that houses have been built, food has become very tight, so Jerry arranged for the Spirit Hall to open breeding farms, where they only breed Soul Beasts that reproduce quickly and in large numbers, which solved the food shortage problem in Wuhun City.

Originally, Xiao Wu did not agree, but the breeding farm had been operating for a while, and after taking Xiao Wu to see the breeding farm, hundreds of thousands of rabbits gave Xiao Wu a direct fright.

Although none were ten years old, the quantity was huge, so Xiao Wu had no objections.

He found one hundred young rabbits in the breeding farm, then fed them Rabbit Blood Pills refined from Xiao Wu's blood. These little rabbits absorbed them very quickly, and then he fed them Soul Power Pills. After raising them for a week, no side effects were found.

Then Jerry began to increase the concentration, and slowly some rabbits began to show side effects. First, their eyes turned blood-red, and then they began to fight each other.

But the fighting did not last long, the blood-red in their eyes faded, and the little rabbits became quiet again.

It seems Xiao Wu's blood really has side effects; the side effect is that the eyes turn red, and then they vent through fighting.

Next is human experimentation, which gives Jerry a bit of a headache now.

Previously, the pills refined from the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's blood had only been eaten by Dabai and Hu Liena. Hu Liena absorbed it easily because it was her own bloodline, but Dabai had never shown any side effects either, perhaps because the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox bloodline has many attributes and is more inclusive.

And the Fox Blood Pills eaten by ordinary Spirit Masters were all refined from the blood of three-tailed foxes with weak bloodlines, and no side effects appeared.

But Xiao Wu's blood is different; it is quite powerful, and the gene for being fond of fighting is engraved in the bloodline, which is why these little rabbits showed side effects after consuming it, but whether the human body can withstand these side effects is unknown.
