Chapter 32: The Incarnation of Wisdom, Gu Yue Na (Part 1)

~7 min read 1,385 words

"Things are developing in a good direction!"

Xiadie stood by the window, strands of breeze blowing through her silver-purple hair.

Outside the window was a scene of bustling prosperity, the heavy traffic fully displaying peace.

As a major city with a resident population of 8 million, even the inner city of the imperial capital had a constant flow of people.

Xiadie rested her hands on the window, feeling the wind blowing in from it.

It blew away many of her troubled thoughts.

"Evil Soul Masters appearing, Shrek coming to Xingluo Cheng."

"As expected, did the appearance of Polyxia cause too much of a stir?"

In a city of millions, people die every day due to various factors, and others are in a near-death state.

That "dark night pressing on the city" of nearly a week allowed the dying, those whose lives were exhausted, to catch their breath and extend their lifespans.

If not for this being Xingluo Cheng.

As the second-largest city in Douluo Dalu, it has double-digit Titled Douluo guarding it.

It would likely be even more chaotic!

Xiadie smoothed the bangs covering her eyes.

"Hoo—"

Gently exhaling a breath of turbid air, she walked over to the snow-white wall on one side of the room.

She lightly pressed the signal button on the wall.

"Beep-beep—"

The button emitted a loud sound.

A moment later, Xiadie felt life fluctuations in the corridor approaching this place.

"Miss Xiadie."

"Knock, knock, knock."

The door was gently knocked upon.

"The door isn't locked, come in!"

The door pushed open, and in walked a woman in professional attire, looking to be around thirty, dressed in a black-gray outfit resembling a housekeeper.

She first bowed to Xiadie before saying, "Miss Xiadie, if there is anything you are not accustomed to, we will immediately prepare a new residence for you."

"No need." Xiadie shook her head gently, "This place is very good, no need to change locations specifically."

"Ms. Mo, I have some matters I would like your help with."

Xiadie's fingers touched her Soul Guidance Device, and suddenly two sheets of paper filled with information appeared in her hand, which she handed to the housekeeper in front of her.

"This is a list of medicinal herbs, and some metals I need."

"Have them ready and brought over by noon tomorrow."

"Yes."

The woman took the order and left, and Xiadie's deep gaze became calm once more.

Gaining the trust of Xu Jiujiu is not enough; a princess is, after all, only a princess, not the emperor.

If she wants to obtain greater convenience, she must pay with something of strategic significance.

Holding up a banner is, after all, just holding up a banner.

Her own situation, and even that of Yilaikesi, can be considered delicate.

If they had encountered not the San Yan Jin Ni or Yao Ling in the Star Dou Great Forest—not the two beasts who were arrogant about their strong Spirit Power and attacked with it—but instead encountered Xiong Jun, that blockhead, then one swipe of his claw would likely have been the end of them.

She needs the Star Luo Empire to protect her, to protect her with all their might.

At least, until she has sufficient power to protect herself.

And the Holy Spirit Cult...

Xiadie does not want to go there.

Xiadie also does not wish for Wang Xian'er to expose the death ability she has only grasped the surface of, as discussed before.

Shrek might, under the pressure of being the righteous side, grit their teeth and acknowledge that Wang Xian'er is not an Evil Soul Master, despite her original reputation.

But what about the Holy Spirit Cult?

By then, it would not be ordinary Titled Douluo coming to the Star Luo Empire.

It would be Zhongli Wu, or even the level of Long Xiaoyao and Ye Xishui.

The Star Luo Empire would be finished for sure.

The Star Dou Great Forest.

The secret realm space at the bottom of the Sheng Ming Zhi Hu.

Di Tian held the San Yan Jin Ni and stood before the silver giant dragon.

The dragon was over a thousand meters long, its scales shimmering and reflecting the surrounding scene.

"My Lord." Di Tian bowed slightly, his voice neither noisy nor heavy, more like the caution of someone disturbing a leader's afternoon nap.

As the sound traveled, the silver dragon's closed eyes slowly opened.

The pressure belonging to a deity slowly pressed down upon Di Tian.

Feeling this violent divine power, Di Tian's face became excited.

The Lord's power had recovered even more than the last time he saw her.

"What is it?"

A delicate female voice issued from the dragon's mouth, but the majestic aura made one dare not think otherwise.

"Subordinate wishes to request your help in examining the situation of the Auspicious Beast."

"The Auspicious Beast, San Yan Jin Ni?" The giant dragon's eyes gradually recovered from their hazy state, and she glanced at the San Yan Jin Ni in Di Tian's hands.

"Reason."

The giant dragon's voice held no vitality, nor did it hold any anger.

Her purple eyes were filled with the radiance of wisdom.

"The Auspicious Beast's soul has appeared with two different frequencies, but I have checked several times and found nothing."

Di Tian nodded, not daring to meet the giant dragon's gaze.

As the former guard of the Dragon God, and the current Beast God.

To have someone do something to the Auspicious Beast without him discovering it, that was truly somewhat derelict of duty.

"I understand."

The giant dragon's body gradually shrank, her thousand-meter-long frame rapidly condensing.

Finally, she transformed into a woman with silver hair, a graceful figure, and a long dress trailing to the ground.

"You suspect a deity has laid hands on the Auspicious Beast?"

As expected of the Master.

Di Tian sighed inwardly.

With just a few words, the Silver Dragon King had already guessed the purpose of his trip.

Is this the embodiment of the Dragon God's wisdom?

Truly terrifying.

"Yes." Di Tian quickly composed his mind and nodded slightly, "It is the answer given to me by one of our Fierce Beasts after it performed a sacrifice for a human, saying that the human told it this and confirmed it."

"A human, sacrifice?" Gu Yue Na frowned.

"Tell me the matter exactly as it happened, do not miss a single detail." She did not know why it involved a Spirit Beast sacrifice, but Gu Yue Na wisely felt that this matter was definitely not simple.

"The matter is as follows, Master..."

Di Tian summarized what he had seen and heard, as well as the intelligence gathered by Wan Yao Wang, and then recounted it in detail.

Gu Yue Na listened carefully to Di Tian's narration.

Her brows gradually knit together.

"So, all of this was told to it by that human?" Gu Yue Na asked, "And it might have just been relaying this matter to you?"

"Yes." Di Tian nodded, "A very strange human."

"Among the humans I have seen, none have ever been able to do what she has done; even Mu En, who is hailed as the once-in-a-millennium prodigy of Shrek, could not."

A one-Spirit-ring Soul Master, going head-to-head with a hundred-thousand-year Spirit Beast.

And defeating two at once.

"The power of death." Gu Yue Na pondered.

"Master..."

Watching Gu Yue Na in deep thought, Di Tian hesitated to speak.

"Forget it."

Gu Yue Na shook her head.

The Auspicious Beast, which had been knocked unconscious by Di Tian, floated toward Gu Yue Na.

Gu Yue Na grabbed the neck of the San Yan Jin Ni with one hand and placed her other hand on the forehead of the San Yan Jin Ni.

A powerful divine sense was instantly injected into the Spirit Sea of the San Yan Jin Ni.

Even though Di Tian was once a guard of the Dragon God, he is now only a Spirit Beast.

He does not even possess divine sense, but Gu Yue Na is different.

Even if severely wounded, she is still a deity.

What Di Tian can discover, she can discover; what Di Tian cannot discover, she can also discover.

This is the confidence of Gu Yue Na, who as the half-body of the Dragon God, embodies both wisdom and beauty.
