Chapter 128: Refining Finished, Hungry

The Quetzalcoatlus was scared out of its wits.

He did not want to become Zhang Yi's meal.

He ran helter-skelter behind the Jubiao, his huge wings flapping like a shaking rag, "Help! This kid wants to eat me!"

The Jubiao glanced at him lazily, "Alright, stop making a scene. He just absorbed so much energy, he must be starving."

Her massive body remained motionless, like a small mountain.

The Quetzalcoatlus shivered behind her.

Mother Jubiao could not be bothered to pay attention to the Quetzalcoatlus; she hurriedly flew to Zhang Yi's side and asked with concern, "Child, how are you?"

Zhang Yi nodded, his face rosy, yet he clutched his stomach and said aggrievedly.

Mother Jubiao nodded and, without hesitation, pulled all sorts of game out of a hidden feather pouch—dried lizard, cured wild boar leg, and a few eggs of unknown Demon Beast.

It gave off a strange fragrance.

Zhang Yi did not stand on ceremony either; he grabbed a dried lizard and began to gnaw on it, *crunch, crunch*, chewing with great relish.

"Mother, these things are better when they're fresh."

Zhang Yi frowned while eating and said to the Jubiao, "Don't store them next time. It's not good if they're left for too long; the taste changes."

Mother Jubiao rolled her eyes and said crossly, "If I didn't store food, what would you be eating now? Air? In this wilderness, where am I supposed to find fresh food for you? Do you think the Seven-Colored Auspicious Cloud is a buffet available every day?"

Zhang Yi nodded and said indistinctly, "Oh, that's true too."

He continued to bury his head and eat, devouring the food in front of him like a whirlwind, as if he wanted to replenish all the energy he had consumed earlier.

It paused.

Zhang Yi slowly descended from the air, followed by Mother Jubiao and Nudi.

He crossed his arms over his chest, his face full of smugness.
