Chapter 136: Netizens exploded, the bullet comments are full of mom references!

Nowadays, huh.

Everyone's started livestreaming!

All kinds of press conferences, events, even variety shows now have livestreams.

Soon, the red carpet ceremony began.

Almost all who appeared are Hong Kong stars; mainland ones are hardly seen.

But.

The viewers in the Douyin livestream room are getting more and more suspicious as they watch.

Huh?

Jiang Dao, Ge Daye, where are they?

And Director Lin?

How come not a single main creator from the 'Let the Bullets Fly' crew is in sight?

"What's going on?"

"Director Lin???"

"Could it be that Director Lin and the others have already entered?"

"What's the situation, I just arrived!"

"???"

"Where are the people?"

"I'm on site, truly didn't see any trace of Director Lin and the others!"

In a moment, the public screen in the livestream room filled with all kinds of question marks.

We've waited so long, still haven't seen Lin Mo and Jiang Wen's figures.

Strange!

Too strange!

Until the host on site called out Luo Kai's name.

The assistant director of the film 'Let the Bullets Fly'!

Finally, one appeared.

Just...

Just him alone!

Actually, not to mention Lin Mo, even Luo Kai didn't want to come.

But there's no choice.

The boss has spoken; he doesn't want to not come.

The filming of 'Wild Storm' is paused for a day.

Earlier, when we were on the set.

Zhang Songwen heard from Director Luo that the boss, Director Jiang, and Master Ge weren't preparing to attend this Golden Statue Awards ceremony.

He was shocked at that time!

Generally speaking, it's rare for actors, directors, etc., not to give face to the organizers.

But our boss, and Director Jiang, etc...

Are they ordinary people?

One has to say, the boss's temper is still explosive!

If he says he's not going, he's not going!

Awesome!

Wang Xu.

He is currently watching the live broadcast of the Golden Statue Awards ceremony.

Wang Xu is just like most netizens.

They're all here to watch 'Let the Bullets Fly'!

The Xiang Jiang Golden Statue Award has always been the highest‑valued award among Chinese‑language film awards.

Wang Xu is really hoping that Director Lin Mo will win Best Director this year!

He really loves the film 'Let the Bullets Fly' directed by Lin Mo.

When the film premiered, he ended up watching it four or five times!

He practically regards Lin Mo as an idol!

"Very, very suspicious!"

"Director Lin? Director Jiang? I didn't even see Master Ge!"

Wang Xu furrowed his brows.

He guessed it's likely that Director Lin, Director Jiang, etc., dislike walking the red carpet and went straight to the inner venue.

He never even considered that Director Lin and the others never came to Xiang Jiang at all.

Soon.

The red carpet ceremony ended.

The livestream camera also switched to the inner venue.

The director kept cutting between various shots.

What Liu Dehua, Hong Jingbao, Ceng Zhiwei, Wang Jing...

These big names all made appearances.

And there's also whatever Mountain Chicken Brother, Haonan Brother and the others are also here.

But..

The director has turned around once.

We just don't see Lin Mo, Jiang Wen and the others.

The whole live stream exploded.

What's going on?

"Let Bullets Fly" received 12 nominations, so why aren't Director Lin and the others here?

Ah, maybe the organizers are being mysterious, deliberately not switching the camera to them.

I guess this director knows how to play up the show!

How can these terrible films compete with 'Let Bullets Fly'? What do they have to compete with?

The comments kept flashing nonstop.

Here, Hua Ge, who had a brief encounter with Lin Mo at the Hundred Flowers Award, sat with Wang Jing, chatting.

"Huazi, I heard Jiang Wen, Ge You and Lin Mo didn't come!" Wang Jing turned to Liu Dehua and asked.

Mm, they didn't come.

Hua Ge gave a short reply and nodded.

Afterwards, a brief silence fell between them.

They are very familiar with the organizers of the Golden Horse Awards.

"Ah, they still haven't realized that mainland cinema is no longer what it used to be!" Wang Jing sighed and shook his head.

"Yeah!" Liu Dehua also echoed with feeling.

No need to say more about Hua Ge; he's always been active in mainland China.

He has participated in the filming of many mainland movies.

Wang Jing, he's also been active in mainland China these two years; one could say he's watched mainland cinema rise step by step.

Especially last year, a genius director emerged from mainland China!

Lin Mo directed 'Charlotte's Trouble', 'The Richest Man in Xihong City', and 'Let Bullets Fly'.

These three films can be said to have raised the box office of Chinese-language cinema by several levels.

Actually.

He knows it as clear as a mirror.

Mainland cinema has long surpassed Hong Kong cinema.

Not to mention the past, just comparing these two years' films, they simply can't compare.

Now, holding a Golden Horse Awards, they even kept out the best mainland film of the past ten years.

The key point is, this year's organizers are still doing a full live broadcast.

Wang Jing could even imagine that when the Best Director and Best Actor lose, the live stream will be filled with nothing but curses.

Meanwhile, Lin Mo was busy filming on set, not caring at all about the Golden Horse Awards.

But Re Ba is different; she's furious, as if she'd taken explosives.

"Ziyi Sis, I'm about to die of anger! Mo Ge's movie is obviously so good!"

Re Ba, in the live stream, was speaking indignant for Lin Mo while gritting her teeth.

Zhang Ziyi, seeing Re Ba like that, couldn't help laughing: 'Oh dear, little sister, your temper is too big; watch out, you'll harm your health, Director Lin will feel bad.'

She said it while laughing, teasing Re Ba.

"Oh dear, Ziyi Sis, stop teasing me." Re Ba pouted, looking unhappy.

"Let me check what the comments in the live stream are saying."

Zhang Ziyi curiously leaned over, and the two stared at the screen together.

Rewinding a few minutes, at the Golden Horse Awards ceremony, the Best Director award was being announced nervously.

"Let Bullets Fly' and two Hong Kong local films, 'Tracking the Plum Blossom in Blood' and 'Magic Police', competed on the same stage.

Although the leads of those two films are big names, in terms of box office and fame, how could they be rivals to 'Let Bullets Fly'?

Netizens all thought Lin Mo winning Best Director was a sure thing.

So what happened?

The Best Director award actually went to Lam Chak-fan of 'Magic Police'!

Now that's great, the live stream with over 2 million people exploded!

The comments were instantly flooded with question marks, followed by wave after wave of netizens' friendly greetings to the organizers, those comments full of mother references!

???

Ah?

"Cao, I mean, the Best Director isn't even my Director Lin?"

"I XX your ma!"

Isn't this too blatant?

"I just hehe!"

No wonder we never saw Director Lin; turns out he didn't go at all!

"I've said it before, this Golden Horse Awards is just those Hong Kong people entertaining themselves, you still don't believe me!"
