Chapter 164

These few days.

The publicity for Wild Storm is quite large.

Morning Light Media has already cooperated with Penguin Video many times.

Now, as long as it's a Morning Light drama, Penguin will heavily promote it.

After all, they also know the saying 'Morning Light produces, must be excellent.'

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye it was the day Wild Storm aired.

Evening.

At Zhang Songwen's home.

Besides him, there were Lin Jiachuan and Zhou Yiwei.

The three have been close friends for over twenty years.

Classmates, dormitory roommates!

Back when they were at Beidian, they were always called the Three Swordsmen.

After graduation, it was the same experience.

Together they had no roles, and were not selected.

Only Zhou Yiwei had good luck; perhaps he was the only one among the three with an advantage in looks and height, so he acted in many dramas and accumulated some fame.

Well then.

Wild Storm was about to air, Zhang Songwen couldn't sit still, so he hurriedly called his two close friends over.

Seeing a pile of skewers and beer on the table.

As soon as he entered, Zhou Yiwei saw a pile of skewers and beer on the table and joked, "What's up, Songwen? Are you nervous? You called me and Chuan over for courage!"

Hearing that, Lin Jiachuan also laughed hehe.

Sit sit sit!

I called you over because after watching the first few episodes I wanted to give you two some advice on acting.

Zhang Songwen greeted the two to sit down.

Zhou Yiwei sat down, picked up a skewer, took a bite, and said, "Your acting—how could I not know? Don't worry, absolutely no problem! Moreover, this script is from Director Lin's hand, it's definitely going to be a hit!"

During the filming of I Am Not a Medicine God, Lin Mo and Zhou Yiwei said that Zhang Songwen wrote a rough outline for this drama's script, then had the company's screenwriters expand it.

The final script, Lin Mo only filmed after he had read it and was satisfied.

Don't think Lin Mo has become diligent; he's the type who, if he can sit, will never stand.

The three ate while chatting.

Zhang Songwen and Wang Jiachuan chatted about some funny incidents from their filming.

Likewise.

Zhou Yiwei also talked about what happened during the filming of I Am Not a Medicine God.

For example, Director Xu, Chao Ge, and Zhang Ziyi—how amazing their acting is.

As time passed minute by minute.

Nine o'clock!

Wild Storm officially aired!

"It's started, it's started!"

Wang Jiachuan saw the drama start and hurriedly shouted.

Zhang Songwen and Zhou Yiwei were attracted by the commotion and quickly focused their attention on the TV.

The barrage appeared with a clamor.

"Morning Light produces, must be excellent!"

"For Zhang Yi's sake!"

"I heard Li Yitong also appears in this drama!"

"Decided to open VIP!"

"Can chase the drama again!"

"..."

From the barrage, it's not hard to see.

These netizens.

They basically came for Zhang Yi and Li Yitong.

After all, these two.

One is a renowned skilled actor, the other is a traffic-driven little flower.

As for Zhang Songwen and Lin Jiachuan.

They both have basically no fame, almost like invisible nobodies.

The premiere of Wild Storm still released five episodes first.

Then it updates two episodes daily, with one episode available for advance viewing.

At the beginning.

Mediocre.

People sent from above prepared to conduct a crackdown on evil in Jing Hai.

In the first nearly twenty minutes, the viewers were getting drowsy.

Until...

Time suddenly jumped back to the year 2000.

The police siren wailed woo-woo, instantly waking the netizens from their drowsiness.

Ah, we're just getting into the plot?

This show... won't break the myth that Morning Light's productions are always masterpieces, will it?

It feels boring; I almost fell asleep watching it.

I still choose to trust Morning Light!

It's only the first episode; don't panic, the excitement is definitely later!

Zhang Songwen and Lin Jiachuan watched these comments.

To be honest.

They both started to feel a little anxious.

Because they saw a lot of criticism.

They said the show was boring and that the myth of Morning Light's productions always being masterpieces was about to be shattered.

Especially Zhang Songwen.

He's an artist under Morning Light Media.

If it were because of him, he'd drag down his boss and the company...

The more he thought about it, the more anxious he became.

Meanwhile, Zhou Yiwei, who knew Zhang Songwen well, laughed and patted his shoulder: "Don't worry, it's only been ten or so minutes!"

Wang Jiachuan also comforted him: "Yeah, Songwen'er, you know how exciting this show gets later—relax!"

Hearing their words, he finally calmed down.

The three continued watching the show.

Soon, the characters played by Zhang Songwen and Lin Jiachuan appeared!

Gao Qiqiang and Tang Xiaolong.

As the plot progressed.

Gao Qiqiang was detained after breaking into someone's home and assaulting them.

Then his younger siblings appeared.

An Xin served the three dumplings.

That scene...

Was incredibly tear-jerking.

Zhang Songwen's performance in this segment was simply divine, incredibly moving.

The audience watching this segment couldn't hold back their tears.

My goodness, who is this actor? He's acting too well!

I actually cried...

Damn, this actor revived the whole show!

As expected of Morning Light, truly worthy of trust!

I'll keep watching, for the role of Gao Qiqiang I'll definitely follow this drama!

/sobbing/sobbing/sobbing/feeling heartbroken for Gao Qiqiang!

In a moment.

The direction of the comments completely changed.

Before Zhang Songwen appeared, the comments were all saying the show was boring, with nothing to see.

But now...

These comments are all praising Zhang Songwen's acting.

Hiss.. Songwen'er, your acting is divine!

Zhou Yiwei was greatly shocked after watching that segment just now.

Huh, even when filming, I didn't feel this segment's intimidation was this strong!" Lin Jiachuan also stared in surprise.

Including Zhang Songwen felt the same.

When they finished filming this scene.

Everyone just thought Zhang Songwen's acting was passable.

But it wasn't as moving as seen on TV.

Also.

The camera angles are different when filming.

But the edited clip, with its rendering, visuals, and the buildup from earlier plot, the feeling just surged.

Five episodes aired consecutively.

After watching, it was almost midnight.

Nothing unexpected happened.

"Wild Storm" this drama went viral!

Now it's number one on the hot search list!

#FeelingHeartbrokenForGaoQiqiang#

As soon as this topic came out.

Quite the fellow.

The comment section below blew up.

Gao Qiqiang?

Who is Gao Qiqiang?

"Morning Light's newly produced drama 'Wild Storm' is really super good!"

"Strongly recommend, 'Wild Storm'!"

"Indeed, Morning Light's productions are always top-notch!"

"May I ask, may I ask, who plays Gao Qiqiang? He acted so well!"

"The actor who plays Gao Qiqiang is Zhang Songwen; he used to be an acting teacher at Beidian, and now he is a contracted artist of Morning Light Media, having appeared in...."

"This drama is really good!"
