Chapter 23: Charlotte's Trouble Begins Filming!

Just like that.

Lin Mo easily signed the future hundred‑billion‑yuan movie emperor Shen Teng.

The company, I just found some time to register it, called Morning Light Media!

As for Ma Li.

Naturally, this matter was handed over to Shen Teng.

The two have long been partners.

Especially, when Shen Teng heard that General Manager Lin still let Ma Li play the female lead Ma Dongmei, boy, he was thrilled.

They finally made it!

So.

After leaving.

Shen Teng immediately called Ma Li.

Ma Li was at her hometown at that moment.

She received Shen Teng's call.

She joked, "Yo, Brother Shen Teng!"

"Ma Li, where are you?" Shen Teng suppressed his excitement.

"At my hometown, what do you mean where!"

"Did you go see Heart Flower Road yesterday? My acting was okay, right?"

"I did watch it, but I think you weren't in it!"

"Then you haven't watched it. I originally thought there was something good about contacting you, never mind, our relationship is just plastic, let's not keep in touch!"

"Haha, Brother Shen Teng, I saw it, I saw it, that bar Boss of yours was performed really well, I almost wanted to go in and beat you up!"

After Shen Teng and Ma Li chatted idly for a while,

he then got to the point.

"Let me tell you something, our good days have arrived!"

"Huh?"

Ma Li was stunned.

Good days?

What good days?

Then Shen Teng stopped teasing and told her the matter.

On the other end of the phone,

When Ma Li heard that someone was willing to invest in a film, letting Shen Teng and her play the male and female leads.

Immediately,

Ma Li didn't believe it.

"Come off it, with our fame? You say someone would pay to make us the leads.."

"I'm telling you the truth, hurry up, quickly buy a ticket to Mo Du, if you're late, the female lead might be replaced, ha!"

"No, no, Brother Shen Teng, I'll be there tomorrow... I... I'm going to buy a ticket right now!"

No need to say more.

Ma Li indeed came quickly.

She arrived in Mo Du that same night.

Upon meeting,

the two found a restaurant and ate while chatting.

And they got more excited as they talked.

How to put it,

These two have performed stage plays and skits together for many years.

But it has always been lukewarm.

Shen Teng was a bit better.

At least he had Hao Jian.

But Ma Li really had no fame at all.

But now it's different.

Someone is willing to invest in the two making a film.

It's the kind that makes you laugh awake even in your sleep.

Now the male and female leads of Charlotte's Trouble are all set.

Basically there's not much lacking.

As for the other actors,

Lin Mo, of course, wants to find the original cast.

But this is a Parallel World, it's hard to say whether these people are actors.

He only managed to find Wang Zhi and Yin Zheng.

In just a few days,

the actors were almost all gathered.

After all,

The ones he found are all minor actors; hearing there's a film to shoot makes them happier than anything.

The shooting location, Lin Mo has already decided.

To Bin Cheng!

Because in his previous life, Charlotte's Trouble was filmed on location there.

A fairly decent restaurant.

Lin Mo booked a private room.

The purpose, you see, is to let the main cast and crew get to know each other.

Shen Teng, Ma Li, Wang Zhi, Yin Zheng, and also veteran actor Li Li Qun, Tian Yu.

Tian Yu, you see, is the actor who plays Teacher Wang.

A National Drama Level‑2 actor.

But when it comes to this elder brother's ex‑girlfriend, that's a different story.

Tang Wei!

In his previous life, Lin Mo was also quite surprised when he saw this news.

Who would have thought, Teacher Wang, you really are low‑key!

Besides them.

Lin Mo's teacher also came.

He came with Xiao Tian, that is, Tian Xiwei.

Because yesterday Lin Mo called Xiao Tian, asked her to come, saying there was a role that suited her—a small part, a female supporting role, mainly to let her get a feel for the filming atmosphere in advance.

Tian Xiwei was, of course, overjoyed.

A supporting female role was already pretty good for her.

These past days, Lin Mo's senior brother hasn't contacted him.

Tian Xiwei thought the senior brother had forgotten about her.

"Senior brother!"

After entering the private room, she cheerfully called out to Lin Mo, her eyes sparkling.

Lin Mo smiled and nodded.

When Teacher Wang stepped into the private room, he clapped Lin Mo on the shoulder with a grin: "You kid, you moved fast; I thought you'd stall for half a month before starting!"

Lin Mo let out a chuckle, replying to the teacher's joke.

He then introduced his teacher and Xiao Tian to everyone.

Shen Teng, Ma Li and the others, upon hearing that she was Lin Mo's teacher, instantly became deferential.

They also took meticulous care of Tian Xiwei.

This is Director Lin's junior sister, so we have to handle the relationship properly, right?

In the private room, the atmosphere became amicable.

For the next two days, Lin Mo led Shen Teng, Ma Li and others to fly to Lushun.

This area is practically an old friend of the film world; many blockbusters have left their footprints here, and calling it a star face of the architecture world isn't an overstatement.

"One part Lushun Port, half a modern history"

Those words aren't said lightly.

Lushun, because of its unique location, has been a strategic military site since modern times, witnessing countless historical twists and vicissitudes.

With the passage of time, many old factories still retain their bygone appearance, the rustic, historic atmosphere attracting one film crew after another.

The filming location for Charlotte's Trouble was chosen to be the transistor factory in Lushun.

Before that.

Lin Mo had the assistant director bring people over.

To set up the shooting site.

This assistant director was introduced to him by Teacher Wang.

A senior a few classes ahead, surname Chen.

"Director Lin!"

Chen Zhong, seeing Lin Mo arrive, hurried forward.

"Brother Chen, you've worked hard these past days!"

When Lin Mo arrived, he saw the set; not bad, not bad, pretty much as he imagined.

Then he introduced the main cast to Chen Zhong.

Lin Mo wasn't in a hurry to start filming.

After all, it's only the first day.

Accommodation and such still need to be arranged.

That's how it went.

Around the third day in Lushun.

The film is ready to start shooting.

Originally,

He was too lazy to arrange any opening ceremony, finding it troublesome.

But the crew all came up to persuade him.

People like Li Li Qun, Chen Zhong and others took turns urging: "Director Lin, the opening ceremony is just to get a good omen, to ensure auspiciousness, so that our film shoots smoothly!"

That girl Tian Xiwei, smiling like a flower, also joined in: "Senior brother, think about it, our movie is like a big ship about to set sail, right? It needs a loud whistle, then hoist a colorful flag—that's the grandeur! The opening ceremony is like giving the ship a buff, letting it ride the wind and waves, bringing continuous good luck, how wonderful!"

Lin Mo, hearing that, laughed, glanced at Tian Xiwei, and said, "Hey, your little mouth is so sweet, you've made me want it; fine, we'll go with you—let's set up the opening ceremony! From today, Charlotte's Trouble will start shooting lively and smoothly!"

So the group made a quick simple arrangement, and the launch ceremony got underway in a bustling, lively manner.

At Lin Mo's word, "Charlotte's Trouble" officially began!
