Chapter 245: Real-shot explosion scene!

Long Shu, this shot of yours might just sweep the bigger film awards later~

Lin Mo smiled, looked at Cheng Long, and said.

Upon hearing that.

Re Ba beside him also nodded repeatedly: "Exactly, exactly, exactly!"

Gong Li Jie also chimed in, laughing so hard she couldn't close her mouth: "Once this movie comes out, I think, big bro, your Best Actor trophies will fill the whole house!"

Cheng Long quickly waved his hands, smiling until his eyes crinkled: "Oh dear, you're putting me on a pedestal—there's no way it's that exaggerated!"

But.

Seeing Long Shu's smile, you could tell he was really happy inside.

People, after all, always like to hear nice words.

At that moment, Shi Tai Long and Jason also came over, and the group joked around, the atmosphere becoming very harmonious.

The following week.

What they needed to shoot were basically all fight scenes.

The action direction was handled by Cheng Long.

Mainly.

Action scenes are Cheng Long's specialty.

Still the same saying.

Leave professional matters to the professionals!

Of course.

Cheng Long also asked Lin Mo what effect he wanted.

The movie "British Duel" differs from Cheng Long's previous action films.

In the fight scenes, they couldn't use comedic, goofy movements.

After all, the plot is rather heavy.

Moreover.

As a Vietnam War veteran who also worked as a mercenary,

the martial arts he uses

must be the kind that kills with a single blow—no flashy frills, purely practical.

"Got it, you mean the kind of punch-to-flesh fighting that shows a really realistic battle, right!"

After hearing Lin Mo's description, Cheng Long understood right away.

"Exactly!"

"However, Long Shu, you can also add your own flair on top of that, like Cheng Long–style moves!"

Lin Mo nodded and said.

"OK, I got it!"

As for the later action design, that will need Long Shu and his stunt team to handle.

What should and shouldn't be said.

Cheng Long really is professional.

They finished it all in one day.

Street-fight combat, forest chase scenes.

All must show the style of a veteran soldier.

Speaking of which.

Cheng Long and Shi Tai Long have known each other for years, but this is their first genuine collaboration!

Although, back when Shi Tai Long filmed The Expendables, he had once invited Cheng Long.

But he was turned down.

Mainly because in The Expendables, Shi Tai Long was the lead, while Cheng Long's role was a supporting part.

However, this in no way affects their friendship.

Shi Tai Long laughed and said to Cheng Long: "Jackie, this is our first collaboration, and I still feel my heart racing!"

"Me too!"

Cheng Long laughed in response.

In the coming days, the fight scenes they shot.

Basically, they were all jungle battles.

The plot, too, is quite simple.

Pierce, playing Lai Mu, the film's villain boss, had his secret discovered by Cheng Long's character Guan Yuming, so he sent his nephew Xiao En to deal with him.

Thus unfolded the exciting jungle fight scenes.

Jason vs Cheng Long!

Fan Di Sai Er vs Shi Tai Long!

The fight scenes of these four are classic among classics.

Lin Mo got more and more into it as they filmed.

On the other side.

Re Ba and Gong Li's scenes had wrapped a few days earlier.

Them staying on set was also boring.

Fortunately, Gong Li took Re Ba shopping, out on the town.

Lin Mo naturally arranged for a bodyguard for Re Ba.

Mainly for safety.

The bodyguard naturally carried a gun.

Moreover, he was Sa Di Ke, the London mayor who actively recommended him.

A genuine battlefield veteran!

Abroad.

Re Ba could completely let loose, with no worry of being recognized.

She's been having a great time these days.

From time to time she also shared some photos on Weibo.

Her photos with Gong Li, as well as various shots of their outings.

This instantly sparked heated discussion among netizens.

"Wow, Re Ba is so beautiful!"

"Re Ba, could you tell us how Director Lin's new film is progressing?"

"Empress Gong and Re Ba, wow!"

"To put it that way, beautiful and kind‑hearted Re Ba sis, could you tell us how Director Lin's new film shoot is going? /dog head/"

"You guys noticed, Gong Li's gaze at Re Ba is full of affection, right?"

"Haha, our Re Ba is so cute, she's sure to be adored!"

"......"

As early as a week ago, Lin Mo had already consulted Sa Di Er about renting Lambeth Bridge for an explosion scene.

Thanks to Cheng Long's connection, the application went smoothly and was settled without effort.

Starting yesterday, residents near the bridge received notices saying they must temporarily evacuate for filming.

To make the effect realistic, Lin Mo specially chose live shooting—that is, a real explosion.

So Lambeth Bridge was sealed off, residents moved into hotels, and Lin Mo naturally covered the cost.

April 7.

Noon.

On Lambeth Bridge over the Thames River in London, the capital of Britain.

The filming crew of British Duel had inspected everything countless times.

After confirming there were no issues.

Lin Mo was about to shoot this shocking, stimulating explosion scene!

"Camera team, explosives team, ready!"

"Action!"

As Lin Mo's voice came out of the loudspeaker.

His photography and explosives teams all got ready.

Cheng Long, Shi Tai Long, Jason, Pierce, and Fan Di Sai Er, etc.

They all gathered around the director's monitor.

Obviously, they had long awaited this explosion scene.

And Re Ba.

She was also quite excited.

Earlier, hearing Mo Ge say this scene would use live shooting—that is, a real explosion—

She was stunned!

But thinking of her man's consistent insistence on live shooting, she could understand.

But when she actually saw the scene, she couldn't help but feel anticipation.

All that could be seen was.

on the monitor.

A red Route 211 double‑decker bus entered the frame and drove onto the bridge.

Then, the next second.

"Bang"

A huge boom.

The double‑decker bus exploded.

Flames shot up instantly, thick smoke billowed, the whole vehicle was engulfed in fire, debris scattered everywhere.

The sound of the explosion could be heard far away.

Even.

Many locals saw it from high buildings.

"OMG!"

Those who didn't know thought it might have been a terrorist attack.

On Twitter.

Related videos quickly appeared.

"Is this a terrorist attack?"

"Where is this?"

"Good heavens!"

"Ah, in Ying Guo? Are they terrorists?"

"I heard it seems like they're filming a movie?"

"This probably isn't a movie filmed by Ying Guo people, the Route 211 bus's route doesn't go through Lan Bei Si Qiao!"

"......"

"These foreign netizens, their first thought upon seeing this video was:"

"They thought it was some kind of terrorist attack."

"After all."

"Such things are commonly encountered abroad."

"Soon, netizens came forward to explain."

"They said this is a new movie being filmed by Cheng Long, Shi Tai Long, and Jason."

"They were watching the scene here."

"Fortunately."

"This explosion scene was done in one take."

"If there were more takes..."

"I'm afraid the surrounding residents would be so scared they couldn't sleep at night."

""Looks like, no matter where, there are always people who like to watch the excitement!""

"Gong Li laughed and said."

"Just now, they all saw it."

"This nearby hotel is where the crew arranged for the surrounding residents to stay."

"They had just heard the explosion's sound, and each one poked their head out to look."

"Scared, Cheng Long big brother shouted at them, 'Don't look!'"
