Chapter 343: The Wandering Earth Opens the Door to Huaguo Science‑Fiction Films!

There are still quite a few movies in this year's Spring Festival film season.

As everyone knows.

The Spring Festival film season is also called the New Year film season.

During the big New Year holiday, many people choose watching movies for entertainment.

Of course, they only go if there are good movies to watch.

For example, this year's Morning Light production, The Wandering Earth!

It features Wu Jing.

Since Wolf Warrior became a huge hit.

This is Wu Jing's second work, eagerly anticipated by movie fans.

Moreover, it's said to be a science‑fiction film.

That makes the anticipation even greater.

But, there are also quite a few skeptics.

Look at this.

Online, the discussions are raging.

"Science‑fiction films feel unreliable!"

"Relax, relax, Morning Light production, definitely a quality work!"

"Although I don't think science‑fiction can make good movies, thinking it's from Morning Light makes it worth watching!"

"If this is Director Lin's, I'll rush in with my eyes closed!"

"Hehe, do you think we could still get tickets if it's Director Lin's new film?"

"Anyway, I've bought a ticket and plan to go see it!"

"Me too, me too!"

"......"

Besides that.

People like Feng Xiaogang and Lao Mouzi also have new movies releasing.

It's the New Year film season, after all; nobody wants to miss it!

In the blink of an eye.

It was already the day of the New Year.

Actually there's nothing special, just two families gathering, eating, drinking, chatting, and enjoying each other's company.

Spring Festival Gala, mahjong—activities that Huaguo people can't do without.

A few days after the New Year, Lin Mo and Re Ba took the four elders for a tour around Mo Du.

February 3rd.

The premiere of The Wandering Earth.

Because of the New Year, there was no premiere ceremony.

It's his own film, so Lin Mo naturally wants to support it.

Although.

He has watched it several times in his previous life.

But the director changed, so the style will definitely differ.

Still, it's more or less the same.

After all, he has seen the finished film.

If it were bad, how could it be released?

Morning Light production, definitely a quality work— that's the current slogan of the Morning Light Group.

Lin Mo doesn't want to ruin it.

Originally, yeah.

Lin Mo even planned to take both sides' two elders to watch the movie.

But they weren't very interested.

So only Lin Mo and Re Ba went.

Of course.

Mainly because Re Ba wanted to see it; Lin Mo just came along to accompany her.

Inside the theater, Re Ba's eyes lit up at the crowd and said, "Husband, look, there are so many people!"

Lin Mo smiled, ruffling her hair, and said, "Science‑fiction movies—everyone's after something fresh!"

Ahem...

The Mo Du Fortress doesn't exist in this Parallel World.

Teng Hua Tao took Lin Mo's advice and devoted himself to studying campus dramas and urban dramas.

So he never considered making a science‑fiction film.

Looking around, the theater was almost full.

Lin Mo and Re Ba deliberately chose a corner seat, fearing they'd be recognized.

If they were actually recognized, the scene would become chaotic; probably no one would watch the film, everyone would just stare at them.

"Husband, do you think the spot we chose is hidden enough? No one will recognize us, right?" Re Ba asked nervously.

Lin Mo glanced around and whispered, "Don't worry, this spot is fine—well hidden; even if someone tries, they won't recognize us."

Re Ba finally breathed a sigh of relief, took Lin Mo's hand, and looked at the big screen with eager anticipation.

Huaguo's sci-fi films, this theme is really rare!

Yeah, I just came to see something fresh!

Morning Light produced it, I still trust it!

Ah, it's just a pity that there's no Director Lin's movie in the Spring Festival slot!

"Fast and Furious" is really good, I watched it three times back then!

Brother, awesome!

Hearing the surrounding fans' chattering discussion, Re Ba couldn't help covering her mouth, she softly said to Lin Mo: "Honey, what do you think their reaction would be if they knew you were here? Wouldn't there be screams all around, and then they'd surround us both?"

Lin Mo gently pinched Re Ba's cheek: "What do you think?"

Re Ba giggled: "Hehe, I think at that time we two would be better-looking than the movie, we'd definitely become the center of attention!"

You, just don't be mischievous.

The movie hasn't started yet.

So.

Lin Mo and Re Ba were just listening to those fans' discussion.

As time passed minute by minute.

At 8 p. m., the premiere of The Wandering Earth began.

The whole movie is two hours long.

After the premiere ended, one could clearly feel the audience's mood.

Each one was quite happy and excited, excited.

"Damn, I didn't expect this film to be actually quite good!"

"Yeah, the special effects are really great!"

"Morning Light really didn't disappoint me!"

"It's indeed quite good!"

"Sci-fi films, being able to make it like this is really good!"

"The Wandering Earth, it's actually about taking Earth to wander the universe!"

"Holy shit, did you notice, the movie's writer has Director Lin's name!"

"No wonder this movie is so good!"

After watching the movie.

Only the keen-eyed fans realized.

This movie's writer's name includes Lin Mo.

Here.

Leaving the cinema.

Re Ba's fresh enthusiasm hasn't faded yet.

"Honey, this movie is really quite good, I estimate the box office definitely won't be lower than 3 billion!" Re Ba excitedly said to Lin Mo.

Lin Mo laughed upon hearing: "3 billion? You're underestimating Morning Light's name, the minimum is 5 billion!"

Although, this film wasn't directed by him.

But carrying Morning Light's name, with such good quality, the box office definitely won't be bad.

After all, in the previous life The Wandering Earth had over 4 billion.

Re Ba exclaimed upon hearing those words: "Fifty billion!!!"

You know, this isn't a small number; if it were her husband's film, she definitely wouldn't be so surprised, but this is just her husband's company's production!

At present, the entire Huaguo film market.

Besides Lin Mo's films, no other film has exceeded a box office of 4 billion.

So...

It's easy to imagine.

Next, Re Ba also pulled Lin Mo to take a photo, saying she would post it on Weibo.

She...

She just likes playing Weibo, interacting with netizens and fans.

Soon after, Re Ba's Weibo updated a post: "@Lin Mo, just came out after watching The Wandering Earth with my husband, the movie is really good, strongly recommend everyone to go watch!!!!" This post also came with a photo of her and Lin Mo together.

In the photo, both wore thick down jackets, Re Ba stood beside Lin Mo, her face beaming with a happy smile, she made a classic scissor hand gesture.

This Weibo post had just been posted for a few seconds when the comment section flooded with replies, netizens left comments:

"Wow, even during the New Year we have to eat dog food!"

"The movie is indeed good, I watched it too!"

"Just go ahead and show off your love!"

"Indeed not bad, The Wandering Earth can be considered as opening the door to Huaguo's sci-fi films!"

"Re Ba is so pretty, Director Lin is so handsome, so handsome!"

(Today there's only one photo, there's too much to do, tomorrow I still have to get up early, I'll update early in the morning, advance wishes everyone a happy new year!!!!)
