Chapter 368

Returned from abroad.

Lin Mo still had something he almost forgot.

He had agreed to let Yin Ziwei act in a drama, hadn't he?

I suppose all you readers, grandpa, already know which drama it is.

That's right, it's 《Hannibal》.

This Hannibal role is very suitable for Yin Ziwei.

Saying it was tailor-made for him is not an overstatement.

Well, as soon as Lin Mo thought of this, he immediately called Yin Ziwei.

Meanwhile, Yin Ziwei, who also resides in Mo Du, was accompanying his wife Xu Dongdong while watching a drama.

The two were watching Morning Light's 《Joy of Life 2》.

Suddenly, the phone rang.

Yin Ziwei picked it up, saw the caller ID, and hurriedly said to Xu Dongdong: "Honey, turn down the TV volume, it's Director Lin's call!"

Xu Dongdong, who was leaning in Yin Ziwei's arms, upon hearing this, immediately sat up straight, picked up the remote, and turned off the TV directly.

"Answer quickly, answer quickly!" she urged.

This is Director Lin's call! How could they not be excited?

"Hey, Awei!" came the familiar voice of Director Lin from the other end.

"Director Lin!" Yin Ziwei responded respectfully in a hurry.

He turned on speakerphone, so Xu Dongdong could naturally hear as well.

"What have you been busy with lately?" Lin Mo asked.

"Director Lin, I've been quite idle lately, recently accompanying my wife to watch a drama, Morning Light's 《Joy of Life 2》, which is really well filmed!" Yin Ziwei answered with a smile.

"Is that so? Re Ba has also been watching this drama lately!" Director Lin said with a smile.

When 《Joy of Life 2》 was hot, Lin Mo and Re Ba were still abroad, basically having no time to watch.

Now that they're back in the country, Re Ba has also started following this drama.

Afterwards, Lin Mo chatted a few more casual words with Yin Ziwei before getting to the point.

"Where are you, Xiang Jiang or Mo Du?" Lin Mo asked from the other end.

"Director Lin, we're in Mo Du!" Yin Ziwei hurriedly replied.

"In Mo Du, that's great! Are you free tomorrow? I'll find a place, and when the time comes, you can come over to discuss the script."

"Sure, sure, Director Lin, just send me the address when the time comes!"

"......"

After hanging up the phone.

Xu Dongdong also showed considerable excitement.

"Husband, Director Lin's script—you're so lucky!" Xu Dongdong said, directly hugging Yin Ziwei.

Likewise, Yin Ziwei was also very happy.

Although.

Director Lin had already told him about this several months ago.

And Yin Ziwei also remembered Lin Mo's words, remaining idle and waiting for several months.

Many scripts, directors asked him to act, but he refused them all.

All just to wait for this moment.

This side.

After Lin Mo finished calling Yin Ziwei.

Next, he dialed another phone call.

Not even a few seconds passed.

The call connected, and a voice came from the other side: "Hey, Director Lin!"

"Chao Ge, what have you been busy with lately?" Lin Mo said with a smile.

"Not busy, just staying home keeping my wife and child company~" Deng Chao also answered with a smile.

"I couldn't tell, Chao Ge even has the potential to become a househusband~" Lin Mo teased.

"Hehe, Director Lin, once you have a child, you'll know!"

On the other end of the phone, Deng Chao said with a hehehe laugh.

"Chao Ge is like that; I have a drama here with a role quite suitable for you, and the filming location also happens to be in Mo Du...."

Lin Mo and Deng Chao's friendship is very deep.

So, after Deng Chao heard it, he immediately agreed.

First, not mentioning their friendship.

Just the fact that it's Director Lin's script, those few words, are enough.

Although Deng Chao hasn't filmed many TV dramas in recent years, mainly focusing on movies.

But this also depends on the person!

If it's Director Lin.

Not to mention asking him to film a TV drama, even filming a short drama would be fine!

Both main roles of 《Hannibal》 have been found.

Then the remaining actors are also easy to find.

As for the script.

It still needs to be Sinicized a bit, after all, the main venue is domestic.

For example, Yin Ziwei's Hannibal could be changed into a sea turtle, and the English name translated would still be Hannibal.

As for the director.

Chen Xing, then.

His filming style is quite suitable.

When the time comes, he can just give Chen Xing some guidance in the crew on how to shoot a drama of this style.

After all, they're both seasoned directors.

A casual bit of guidance is enough to understand.

It's not difficult either.

The main issue is Lin Mo; he doesn't have much time because Speed and Passion 2 is about to start.

When that happens, he'll have to fly to Saudi Arabia as well.

After all, it's already been agreed with Prince Salman.

The next day, afternoon.

Lin Mo found a quiet tea house.

Since they're discussing business, they naturally can't drink alcohol.

Besides him.

There's also Chen Xing.

Yesterday, he received a call from the Boss.

He was told a drama would be assigned to him, especially upon learning that the script was personally handled by the Boss.

That really got him excited!

Previously, most of what they filmed were novel adaptations, TV dramas and the like.

This is the first time the Boss's personally crafted script has been handed to them for filming.

Chen Xing even posted in the company's director group.

He was showing off to Chen Zhong, Luo Kai, and Wang Cheng.

It made those few people extremely envious!

"Boss, this script you wrote is fantastic; after it airs, it will definitely be another super blockbuster drama!" After Chen Xing finished reading the Hannibal script, he was overjoyed.

His words weren't just flattery toward his own Boss.

They came from the heart.

First, the script's premise is extremely novel, perfectly blending psychological suspense with crime deduction, which is rare in today's TV drama market.

The Hannibal character is a highly challenging role; he is both a high‑IQ psychiatrist and a cannibalistic serial killer.

This dual‑identity character setup not only tests the actor's performance but also places extremely high demands on the director's storytelling ability.

Furthermore, regarding the plot, the story is tightly paced with suspense constantly rising.

No wonder it's the Boss!

This script is written so well!

Even…

He is now eager to start filming immediately.

"Calm down, why so excited!"

Seeing his demeanor, Lin Mo also smiled and said.

Just then, the private‑room door knocked.

Chen Xing instantly got up to open the door.

"Director Chen!"

"Chao Ge!"

The visitor was Deng Chao.

Deng Chao knows several of Morning Light's directors, after all he's an active figure and appears at all sorts of award ceremonies.

"Director Lin, long time no see!" Deng Chao said as he entered, smiling and greeting Lin Mo.

Indeed, it's been quite a while—probably two or three months.

"Chao Ge, looks like the Empress has been treating you to good meals; you've put on so much weight~" Lin Mo teased, then invited him to sit.

"Ah, Director Lin, don't bring it up. At home my wife, son and daughter leave food they can't finish for me; how could I not gain weight~" Deng Chao said, half laughing, half exasperated.

Those words resonated deeply with Chen Xing beside him.

Because at home, he is the same.

Yin Ziwei hadn't arrived yet, so the three of them chatted briefly for a while.
